Pastor who shot wife at hotel constantly beat and threatened to kill her: report

By Leonardo Blair,
Christian Post

Danny Prenell Jr. (L), 25, is senior pastor of Bright Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Pineville, Louisiana, where he serves with his wife, Gabrielle Prenell (R), 27. |

Danny Prenell Jr., the 25-year-old senior pastor of Bright Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Pineville, Louisiana, who shot his wife and then himself at a hotel in McComb, Mississippi, in the presence of their three children last Wednesday, had a history of violence against his wife prior to the shooting, court records show.

Court records cited by KALB say Prenell’s wife, Gabrielle Prenell, 27, who remains hospitalized in stable condition, filed a “petition for protection from abuse” against Prenell in Rapides Parish in 2016, noting that “I’ve been constantly getting beaten by my husband and I fear for the life of myself and my unborn child.”

Gabrielle Prenell also alleged in her petition for protection that her husband often pointed guns and threatened to kill her, the KALB report says.

Prenell, who became the pastor of Bright Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in January 2022, was serving as a deputy with the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office until he resigned last December. He is now facing charges of aggravated domestic violence and disturbance of a business for the June 21 shooting.

Investigators say Prenell shot his wife twice at the Hampton Inn & Suites McComb, in Mississippi, before shooting himself once around 3:30 p.m., WGNO reported.

Vickie Carter, chief detective working on the case at the McComb Police Department, told The Christian Post Monday that Gabrielle Prenell was shot in the stomach and her arm by her husband. She remains hospitalized in stable condition.

“She’s still hospitalized. He’s out of the hospital and he has been charged with aggravated domestic violence and disturbance of a business at this point. It could be more charges later, but that’s what he is being charged with at this time,” Carter said.

The detective said because of her condition, investigators have not yet been able to interview the pastor’s wife.

Carter added that Pastor Prenell, who was treated and released from the hospital into police custody, suffered one gunshot wound to the right side of his abdomen. She further stated that she could not reveal anything about what he has revealed to the police about what happened because the investigation is still active.

Calls to Bright Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church went unanswered on Tuesday.

A representative at the Hampton Inn & Suites McComb declined comment when contacted by CP Monday, but a photograph of the crime scene taken by the Enterprise-Journal shows police tape, towels, a pillow and what appears to be blood in a hallway on the first floor of the hotel.

Just two days before he shot his wife and himself while they were at the hotel, Prenell admitted to being flawed but still favored by God in a post on Facebook.

“I may not be a perfect man, but I’ll always be a family man,” he said with a picture of his smiling wife and their three young children who are in the custody of CPS.

The young pastor who maintains a very active presence on social media said he is frequently told that he is wise beyond his years.

“At the age of 25, I often hear that I’m far beyond my years. However, I never get satisfied with where I am….I’m constantly looking for more,” he wrote in a statement on Facebook in April. “People with small minds will keep u locked up into what can fit into their heads. The God I serve doesn’t have a limit, and I’m staying faithful because I know my cup shall run over.”

Earlier that same month, in another statement celebrating the birthday of his wife and one of their children, Pastor Prenell called her his “queen” and “the woman that I love and owe my life to.”

“First let me say to my Queen, my wife, the woman that I love and owe my life to…I love you so much and I’m grateful God has allowed you another year. I’ve watched your growth on all levels and you’re a great mother, wife, and my best friend,” he wrote. “I’m proud to be your husband because you are a woman of class, discretion, integrity, and most importantly…you’re a woman of God. I pray God continues to allow you many more birthdays because I honestly do not know what I’d do without you.”

Utterly insane!

Texas pastor pleads guilty to possession of child sex abuse images

July 3, 2023, 8:32 AM PDT / Updated July 3, 2023, 12:05 PM PDT
By Julianne McShane, NBC News

A Texas pastor pleaded guilty to an enhanced charge of possession of child sex abuse images after he admitted having downloaded some of the materials at his church, according to federal prosecutors and court documents.

David Lloyd Walther, 57, "knowingly searched for, downloaded, distributed and possessed" child sex abuse images, some of which depicted prepubescent minors, on a peer-to-peer file sharing network while he was the pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Round Rock, a city 18 miles north of Austin, the U.S. attorney's office for Western Texas said Thursday.

Walther was arrested Nov. 9 after a search of his home and car turned up two large computer hard drives with more than 100,000 images and more than 5,000 videos of child sex abuse material, the U.S. attorney's office said.

He was released on home detention with GPS monitoring on Nov. 17 and was prohibited from using any computers or having any contact with minors.

He pleaded guilty in federal court in Austin on June 27, court records show.

Walther could face up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000, the U.S. attorney’s office said.

It was not immediately clear when he would be sentenced. A spokesperson for the U.S. attorney’s office said a sentencing date had not yet been scheduled.

In a statement, Worth Carroll, an attorney representing Walther, said: “David’s guilty plea is the next step in the healing process after he experienced horrendous childhood abuse where 'trusted adults' and the system repeatedly failed to protect him. Since his arrest, David and his family have courageously worked to confront his own abuse, address how he was neglected and abused, and begin making amends for the harm he has caused. I am proud of him, encouraged by the work he has done, and amazed by the love and compassion of his family.”

Representatives of Faith Baptist Church could not immediately be reached for comment Monday.

Court documents outlining the disturbing allegations say Walther downloaded some of the materials to a computer when he was at the church. The complaint alleges he also downloaded other child sex abuse materials to a computer at his residence in Georgetown, about 10 miles north of Round Rock.

When investigators searched Walther's residence after they obtained federal search warrants, he allegedly admitted, among other things, "that he had a pornography addiction and would often go through cycles of downloading and viewing pornography depicting both adults and minors" but said he did not know he was sharing the child sex abuse files on the peer-to-peer network, according to the criminal complaint.

Walther also allegedly admitted that "he would download child pornography files, but would often feel guilty and go through a ‘purging’ of files, i.e., deleting the images and associated files, because he knew it was wrong," adding that he had last deleted such files Nov. 8, the night before authorities served the search warrants, the complaint says. He apologized for his actions, it says.

Does that mean he might have had 200,000 images and 10,000 videos if he hadn't deleted some?

In a statement Walther filed with the court the day after his arrest, he wrote that he was "ashamed and repulsed by my actions and behavior" and that he considers himself a pedophile. He wrote that he estimates he first viewed child sex abuse images when he was 10 years old and that he started accessing such materials regularly about eight years before his arrest.

He also appeared to endorse his own detention: "If there is no proven and accepted method to help with my addiction to child pornography, then I should be separated from society forever," Walther wrote.

Walther also filed a statement Nov. 10 admitting that he had been "grooming" an unidentified minor or minors "for sexual conduct or activity in the future."

It would be nice to say that it's good that he didn't actually sexually abuse any children, if that is true, but with over 100,000 images and 5,000 videos, he certainly encouraged the marketplace for feinds who abuse children and video it.

It's good that he is remorseful and wants to be separated from society. He may yet be delivered from this present darkness. But it is a shame that no one in his church or family had the discernment to notice that he had serious problems. He failed his church and his church failed him, and they all failed God.

Evil woman boasted about pub trips & cocktails on ‘girls’ night’

after letting 7 kids starve in filthy house of horrors

Holly Christodoulou
11:08, 12 Nov 2022Updated: 17:08, 12 Nov 2022

A SHAMELESS woman downed cocktails on boozy girls' nights and went sightseeing in London while leaving seven children in a squalid home.

Gemma Brogan, 41, and Christopher Bennett, 35, squandered the £7,000-a-month in benefits meant for five of the kids.

Meanwhile the children, aged between four and 17, were forced to share the filthy three-bedroom home with 36 dogs.

One of the kids, aged seven, was found by police wearing just a nappy and covered in animal faeces asleep on a sofa near a dead dog.

Officers only discovered another of the children had blonde hair after it was washed several times, while the rest all had rotten teeth.

At one point, eight children had lived in the house of horrors in Eastbourne, East Sussex, but a boy had moved out in July.

It can now be revealed Brogan enjoyed a drunken night out on August 5 - after she had been charged with seven counts of child neglect.

Her open Facebook profile shows her sipping a cocktail in what looks like a swanky bar.

Brogan, who was jailed for six years alongside Bennett on Monday, also pictures of her posing with a pal and a photo showing two large jugs of booze.

She captioned the pictures: "Girls night out".

Just days later, Brogan shared pictures from a sunny day out in the capital.

Brogan was solely paid £84,000-a-year in benefits, which is understood to have been made up of Disability Living Allowance (DLA) payments for five of the children.

Despite the massive amount of taxpayer cash flooding her account each week, the ex-dance teacher never flagged up on the system.

The Crown Prosecution Service did not reveal how the benefits were broken down in court.

According to guidelines though, anyone who applies for DLA can be paid up to £156 a week for each child under 16 that requires it.

Brogan could also boosted the payments by claiming for other benefits such as carer's allowance, universal credit and child benefit, the Daily Mail reports.

Sentencing, Judge Stephen Mooney said: "How do you have 35 dogs, £7,000 in benefits, how is this allowed to happen?"

Horrified locals told how the children were scarcely seen leaving the filthy home.

But one said if they did, they were "always unkempt and dressed in absolute rags".

Schools in the area also had extensive records of concerns for the children and neighbours claim they reported them to social services.

Lewes Crown Court heard police were called to home after Bennett phoned 999 claiming he was going to stab Brogan.

Bodycam footage shows police wrestling through the hoard of dogs, who were desperate to escape, into the disgusting house.

They found the house reeking of dog waste with "little or no food" in the fridge and filthy bedding.

Bennett can be seen yelling "you're having a laugh" at police as they lead him away from the house on suspicion of child neglect.

Children's services carers found the youngest children did not know how to wash or brush their teeth.

They were all underweight, pale and could not sit at a table or use a knife or fork.

One child was so neglected she was unsteady on her feet, was incredibly weak, displayed bizarre eating habits and had no social skills.

Another had to visit a dentist to have 13 rotten teeth removed, while one could not read or write and did not know the weeks or months of the year.

The court was told the couple had a "toxic relationship".

East Sussex County Council confirmed a safeguarding review has been launched but would not comment further while the case was ongoing.

Paedophile who paid adults to abuse children jailed for 25 years

Ian Wynter paid a man in the Philippines to abuse a two-year-old boy for him via video call, police said

A paedophile who paid vulnerable people in Asian countries to carry out the "sickening" sexual abuse of children has been jailed for 25 years.

The National Crime Agency (NCA) said Ian Wynter, 59, directed the abuse of two different two-year-old boys via video calls on numerous occasions.

In online chats with other offenders, he described himself as being "sexually attracted to babies and toddlers".

Wynter was also found to have 17,000 indecent images of children.

Wynter, from Loughborough, Leicestershire, was arrested by the NCA in January 2020, and detectives recovered thousands of online chats that showed him speaking with offenders based all over the world.

Chat logs and financial records showed Wynter had paid a man in the Philippines to abuse a two-year-old boy for him via video call on multiple occasions in 2019.

Messages show the man telling Wynter he is in financial difficulty and needs money for "milk and diapers". Wynter later passed on the contact details of the Filipino facilitator to another online user, who he said was willing to pay "$125 up front for a show".

The facilitator has since been sentenced to 15 years in prison in the Philippines and local authorities safeguarded the child, the NCA added.

'Most horrendous abuse'

Wynter also paid another male facilitator in Indonesia for several video calls of him abusing a two-year-old boy in 2018. In this case, the man said the money would help pay for his diploma.

As well as discussing raping children among other "fantasies", Wynter also advised others on how to carry out abuse without getting caught.

At Leicester Crown Court, he pleaded guilty to 13 charges, including multiple counts of encouraging the sexual assault and rape of a child under 13, and was sentenced on Wednesday.

Tony Smith, from the NCA, said: "Ian Wynter is a prolific sexual offender who caused very young children to suffer the most horrendous abuse at the hands of willing facilitators, giving them specific direction and financial reward."

CPS prosecutor Bethany Raine added: "Wynter demonstrated sickening depravity by paying adults to sexually abuse children in video calls and exploiting innocent children in other parts of the world."

Roach was covered in blood as his genitals had been sliced off, which is thought to be his cause of death.

Police are not looking for anyone else in connection to the convicted sex offender's death.

An inquest was today opened by Kate Sutherland, an acting senior coroner for north west Wales.

Mrs Sutherland gave Roach's provisional cause of death as "shock and hemorrhaging due to incised wounds removing genitalia", North Wales Live reported.

She adjourned the hearing to a later date as she was awaiting the results of further investigations.

Roach was due to appear in court about a week before his death but had failed to show.

The 63-year-old had faced a charge of failing to comply with notification requirements in relation to the sex offenders register at Caernarfon Police Station on September 13. He had been expected to enter a plea that day.

Roach had to register as a sex offender after an incident in August. He had asked Travelodge Hotel staff to place a bet on for him - while he was naked from the waist down.

At the time defence solicitor Tudur Owen told the court Roach suffered a serious brain injury when he was younger.

Mr Owen said there didn’t appear to be a sexual motive to what happened. He said Roach had been a “nuisance” and had apologised to staff.

Roach admitted exposing himself and was given 16 weeks suspended jail term.

He was asked to pay £150 compensation to the worker who was disgusted by his behaviour.

He also had to register as a sex offender.

Cops today said they were not looking for anyone else in relation to Roach's death.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police told The Mirror: "Following our statement earlier this week regarding the death of a man who was discovered collapsed at Parc Bryn Cegin, Llandegai, the Coroner today opened an inquest.

"Following a Home Office Post Mortem, and to end unhelpful speculation, we can confirm that we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death of Reginald Alan Roach, but would renew our appeal for anyone who saw an elderly man, approximately 5’8” tall and wearing blue jeans with a grey hooded top in the area between 10am on Saturday, November 5th and 9am on Sunday, November 6th to please contact us on 101 quoting reference B168289.

"We will not be making further comment as the matter remains with the Local Coroner."

Swedish Feminists Up in Arms Over ‘Dangerous’ Sex Robot Brothels

Robot brothels have already opened in Finland and Denmark

Every day the world finds a way to make itself more vulgar with astonishing creativity, often to the applause of the politically correct world. It is good to see some of that PC world, feminists, are standing against this new form of sexual perversion, at least in Sweden, at least in the absence of condemnation from churches and governments.

With sex robot brothels popping up across Europe, Swedish feminists are on the ‘war path’ with the potential practice on Swedish soil. They claim such android sex workers promote “dangerous” attitudes towards women.

Writing in the Expressen newspaper on Wednesday, the heads of three Swedish feminist organizations argued that the appearance and attributes of today’s sex robots bore the same “objectifying, sexualized and degrading attitude” that was found in mainstream pornography.

The organizations behind the letter were the Sweden’s Women’s Lobby, the National Organisation for Women’s Shelters and Young Women’s Shelters (Roks), and Unizon, a women’s empowerment group.

Talking about “dangerous” dehumanization, they argued that the female robots lacked any agency when it came to dealing with the requests of male clients. They also warned that the “type of fantasies” made possible by the opening of sex robot brothels would lead to real violence against women.

The activists are now calling for the Swedish government to implement a series of measures that would make it difficult for such a brothel to open in Sweden. Similar brothels have already opened for business in neighboring Finland and Denmark.

As technology advances to create more lifelike sex dolls, debate has raged over the legal and ethical questions regarding prostitution laws and violence towards women in several jurisdictions. Plans by a US entrepreneur to open such a brothel in Texas saw him label it as a sex robot “showroom” in a bid to dodge regulators. That aside, a franchise of The Dolls Hotel in Torino, Italy was shut down after only nine days for what authorities claimed was “a lack of hygiene.”

It's obvious that governments are unable to deal with this issue directly - on a moral basis. Immorality, it seems, can only be addressed tangentially. We simply cannot refuse to permit something just on the basis that it is wrong, sick, disgusting, and immoral. It will not always be that way.

Manufacture of Child Sex Robots Moves BBC Investigative Journalist to Tears

LifeSiteNewsWhile touring an “adult toy” factory in Japan that manufactures “sexbots” – life-size, lifelike robots created for the purpose of sexual gratification – a young BBC journalist stumbled upon a section of the building where childlike “sexbots” were being assembled.

BBC journalist James Young was “visibly shaken,” according to a Daily Star report, and said afterward that “the encounter was ‘horrific.’ I just had to get out of there.”

“Mr Young, who is also a biological scientist with a prosthetic arm and leg, traveled across the globe to meet the makers of sex robots for the documentary,” the report  continued. “During the show, he noted how it seemed “like they have the potential to bring out the worst things in us.”

While some assert that increasingly lifelike child sex dolls and “sexbots” will serve as a deterrent to criminal sexual acts against children by pedophiles, many experts believe the nascent, burgeoning industry will encourage sexual predation, leading to an increase, not a decrease, in the sexual exploitation of children.

Sin is progressive - for some pedophiles it may delay the 'hands-on' abuse of children, but they will eventually tire of the imitation and want the real thing.

Some of these dolls resemble children as young as three years old and can be customized to feature lifelike facial expressions, including sadness and fear.

OMG

Even more troubling, customers can customize their doll order to resemble children they actually know by providing photographs to the manufacturer. In the case of child “sexbots” currently under development, pedophilic customers will also have the option of providing sample voice recordings to further create the illusion of obtaining sexual gratification with a specific, real-life child known to the customer.

“Such dolls that have been confiscated at the borders in … the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, to name a few … contain anatomically correct body parts and orifices (mouth, vagina, and anus) which can be used to accommodate an adult male penis,” according to thecrimereport.org.

YouTube, Instagram, Twitter & Pinterest tangentially complicit

Social media giants –– which are often quick to censor Christian and conservative messaging as “offensive” or as “violating community standards” – have not been so alert when it comes to censoring the promotion of these child sex dolls and sexbots on their platforms.

“From YouTube to Instagram, and Twitter to Pinterest, videos and links to online markets for child sex dolls are being posted on the biggest social media sites,” NBC’s New York affiliate reported this weekend.

“On one YouTube channel called Pretty Dolls, which has since been removed, videos about life-sized dolls that look like children and are sold for a dark purpose have been watched more than 100,000 times,” the report continued.  “In addition to the social media listings, Google Shopping also offered child sex dolls -- and there were listings even on Amazon.”

While YouTube and Twitter quickly removed offending links and sites in response to the NBC investigation, other child sex doll promotions popped up, revealing how pervasive the problem is and how determined both suppliers and customers are to do business.

Legislation to prohibit the sale and distribution of child sexbots in the United States

The Curbing Realistic Exploitative Electronic Pedophilic Robots (CREEPER) Act, which aims to ban importation and distribution of child sex dolls, was introduced by New York Congressman Dan Donovan along with a bipartisan coalition 32 co-sponsors.

“It’s a uniquely vile person who preys on children to fulfill horrific pedophilic urges,” Rep. Donovan said. “During my 20 years as a prosecutor, I put away animals who played out their disgusting fantasies on innocent children. What I saw and heard was enough to make anybody sick. Now, as a legislator in Congress, I’m introducing a bill to ban the newest outlet for pedophiles: child sex dolls. They don’t belong in our communities.”

Imported from China, Hong Kong, and Japan, the dolls are purposely mislabeled as mannequins or models to avoid detection by postal authorities.

Law enforcement agents note a correlation between the purchases of child sex dolls by individuals who have history of offenses against children. “(O)f the 128 dolls seized in the UK, 85 percent of the men who imported them were also found in possession of child pornography,” noted a press release from Rep. Donovan’s office. “Additionally, psychologists and researchers believe that these dolls reinforce, normalize, and encourage pedophilic behavior, potentially putting more children at risk to harm.”

“In fact, emerging psychology on the topic says these obscene dolls encourage abuse of real children,” Rep. Donovan said in an op-ed in The Hill. “Peter Fagan from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine recently told The Atlantic that child sex dolls likely have a ‘reinforcing effect’ on pedophiles, and “in many instances cause (the urge) to be acted upon with greater urgency.”

A coalition of robotics experts, ethicists and child protection advocates have joined together to support the proposed legislation.

“Child sexual abuse is a heinous crime, one that no child should ever have to suffer,” said Michael Polenberg, VP of government affairs of Safe Horizon, a leading victim assistance organization. “How, then, to reconcile civil society’s abhorrence of child abuse with the production and import of life-sized, life-like dolls of children to be used for sexual purposes? This is deeply concerning on many levels.”

“There is currently a dramatic rise in the development of talking sex robots powered by Artificial Intelligence,” explained Noel Sharkey, co-director of the Foundation for Responsible Robotics. “The possibility of making anatomically detailed moving robot replicas of specific children for sexual gratification is now here and is surely a step too far. Such devices will, at the very least, have a pernicious impact on our society and create a threat to the sexual safety of our children.”

“The seizures of child sex dolls illustrates that sex offenders and pedophiles will stop at nothing to reach children,” said Stacie Rumenap, president of Stop Child Predators. “There is no doubt these dolls will be used to lure and groom children, and will ultimately lead to more sexual abuse and exploitation of real children.”

Melanie Blow, COO of the Stop Abuse Campaign, said, “Child sexual abuse is an epidemic in our society, affecting one-fifth of our nation's children. An epidemic with massive human and financial costs. Anything that normalizes adult sexual attraction towards children will only worsen this epidemic. Child sex dolls and robots that do this are perfectly legal, and that's a problem.”

Kathleen Richardson, founder of the Campaign Against Sex Robots and De Montfort University Professor of Ethics and Culture of Robots and AI, said, “I have listened to the stories of childhood sexual abuse survivors firsthand, and we must do everything to prevent future incidents. Giving child sex dolls and robots to pedophiles will do nothing but encourage harmful acts towards innocent children. A child’s safety should never be put below a predators desire or commercial companies profits.”

Would child sex robots stop pedophilia?

Some suggest that the “child sexbots” (CSBs) will provide a safe outlet for individuals who are sexually attracted to children.

“They envision a future in which pedophiles are prescribed CSBs so they can act out their urges without victimizing anyone,” according to an NBC report.

“There’s wide agreement among experts that neither child sex dolls nor CSBs should be freely available for purchase,” the report continued. “But some experts say the time has come to conduct scientific research to gauge their possible use as a deterrent for pedophilia, a psychiatric disorder that causes sexual attraction to prepubescent children and that is now treated with psychotherapy or, in some cases, libido-curbing drugs.”

CSBs likely to lead to the normalization of sex with children

While proponents of the manufacture and use of these child sex dolls and robots assert they may have clinical value in curtailing criminal sexual acts against real children, science and medicine suggest that is wishful thinking.

According to a report published at Harvard Health, society has good reason to be pessimistic about pedophilia, which “remains a vexing challenge for clinicians and public officials.” The report continued, “Pedophilia is a sexual orientation and unlikely to change.”

There is a “fear that CSBs could normalize deviant behavior — and lead pedophiles to cross the line with real victims. According to the U.K.-based nonprofit Campaign Against Sex Robots, there’s no evidence that adult sex dolls or sexbots have curbed demand for prostitutes,” the NBC report continued.

Director of the campaign, Dr. Kathleen Richardson, a professor of ethics and culture of robots at De Montfort University in Leicester, noted, “I’ve spoken to adults who were abused as children, and they don’t support the use of CSBs. They say that pedophiles who offend are so cut off from their own humanity that giving them a machine wouldn’t address the underlying problem.”

“For the sake of our country’s children,” Rep. Donovan said, “we absolutely cannot allow child sex dolls in our communities.”

The mother of a 3-year-old girl and a friend entrusted with her care are behind bars, accused of committing egregious acts of child abuse so bad that Mesa's police chief called it one of the worst cases the department has had to investigate.

Police said the child was found on Monday in a Mesa home concealed in a trash bag with her hands and feet bound with duct tape and her mouth covered. The girl was covered in feces, bruised, blistered, suffering from a rash, and only wearing a diaper and shirt.

The girl...is unable to stand and is currently not talking to investigators

Mayra Solis, the child's mother, and Francisco Javier Rios-Covarrubias
were booked into jail on several charges
Police said the child was at Rios-Covarrubias' home, where she would often stay for days at a time, while Solis worked. The mother told police that sometimes she would only see her daughter one day out of the week.

When the girl was at the friend's house, she often would be home alone for hours while Rios-Covarrubias was at work, according to police.

Mesa Police Chief John Meza said the girl is at the hospital recovering and is listed in fair condition. She is unable to stand and is not currently talking to investigators. It's not clear if she's not talking to detectives because she's scared or if she cannot speak.

HOW THE INVESTIGATION BEGAN

Meza said during a Tuesday morning press conference that the investigation began Monday when a man contacted police about seeing a child bound and gagged with duct tape in a closet.

The man told police that he met Rios-Coverrubias online and the two agreed to meet for sex. When the man arrived at Rios-Coverrubias' home, he noticed a "bad odor," according to Meza, and found the child in a closet.

At that point, Rios-Coverrubias allegedly asked the man if he wanted to have sex with the child. The man became upset and left, but returned later and had consensual sex with Rios-Coverrubias, thinking the child was gone, police said.

After the second encounter, the man contacted authorities and officers arrived at Rios-Coverrubias' house.

MAN ADMITS TO BINDING GIRL WITH DUCT TAPE

Rios-Coverrubias, according to Mesa Police, did admit to binding the girl with duct tape. He told detectives that he wanted to keep the girl quiet so he could have sex with other people.

He did not admit to sexually abusing the girl, but police said there was evidence that the girl was sexually assaulted.

He was booked into jail on charges of sex trafficking, kidnapping, sexual conduct with a minor and felony child abuse.

WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THE MOTHER

Police said the mother, 21-year-old Mayra Solis, would leave the child with Rios-Coverrubias for days at a time, while sometimes seeing the child as little as once a week. She was also aware that her child would be alone for hours, while the other suspect was at work himself, according to police.

Solis also allegedly shaved her daughter's head and claimed she had cancer so people would donate money for the girl's care, according to authorities.

She was booked into jail on charges of child abuse.

NO HISTORY WITH DEPARTMENT OF CHILD SAFETY

Meza said his office is not aware of any history between the suspects and the Department of Child Safety.

The child is now in DCS custody.

Child Porn Nearly Drives Cop Over the Edge

Narelle Fraser recounts the worst two days of her life:
watching 1700 child sex abuse videos

Watching disturbing videos for two days straight tipped Narelle Fraser
over the edge
THE hardest two days of Narelle Fraser’s life happened in 2012, on her 52nd birthday.

At the time she was working in Bendigo, the geographical centre of Victoria but a two-hour drive from the Melbourne CBD.

Ms Fraser had joined the Child Abuse Investigative Team after stints in Melbourne with the Missing Person’s Unit, the Homicide Squad and the Rape Squad. She’d seen and done it all, at least that’s what she thought.

What she was asked to do for 48 hours took its toll on her, led to physical and psychological changes and forced her to quit her job because of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). She describes it as her “bottle overflowing”.

“What happened was that we received one particular case where a guy was suspected of being into paedophilia,” Ms Fraser told news.com.au.

The senior detective and her colleague found 1700 videos of the worst child sex abuse material imaginable. In order for the magistrate to prosecute, he required somebody to watch the videos. All of them.

This might be the most difficult job in policing.

“I can’t just say to the judge ‘We found these videos’, I actually have to watch them. I have to grade them from one to five, five being the absolute worst.”

For two days straight Ms Fraser watched the videos with her hand over her mouth unable to believe what she was watching.

I remember a senior sergeant said he’d never seen anything like it in his life. This was a guy who’d travelled the world dealing with child paedophilia cases. When he said that I knew it was really bad.

“A couple of times I was so shocked at what I was seeing. I could never describe it to anybody. I still can’t tell anybody what I saw. There was sound with the videos and I was hearing children screaming in pain. I had to turn the sound off. I didn’t sleep after. From that day on, I started to unravel.”

Ms Fraser’s experience is common. What she saw, nobody should have to see. The trauma police witness on a day-to-day basis is hard to comprehend without seeing it for yourself. Its effect on those who witness it can be devastating.

A female police officer in Victoria killed herself at work on Monday afternoon. The senior constable, in her mid 30s, was on duty at a centre helping victims of sexual assault, according to the ABC. She had been a policewoman for more than 12 years.

Police Association secretary Ron Iddles said it is “always sad” when an officer dies but “far, far more tragic” when a member of the police force takes their own life.

A Police Association survey found more than three quarters of the 3500 members had trouble sleeping and eight per cent had been diagnosed with PTSD.

Channel 7’s Sunday Night program last year reported that five times as many police officers in NSW suicide than are killed in the line of duty.

Ms Fraser said after watching the videos she tried, but struggled, to get on with her life. She said for so long she prided herself on being strong but eventually had to acknowledge that she was broken.

“It’s a very fine line between suppressing your emotions and hiding them from yourself,” she said.

“I describe it as building a wall between getting emotionally involved and staying professional but I think I built the wall so tall, so thick and so wide that in the end I couldn’t penetrate the wall let alone anybody else.

Narelle Fraser, 55, is back at work but admits she misses her old job
“I couldn’t recognise my own emotions and I got to the point where I was suppressing them so much that it all just overflowed. If you think of an empty bottle and every job that affects you being a drip of water going into the bottle, my bottle overflowed. Not everybody’s bottle overflows. When I viewed that child pornography, my bottle was almost full. That job was too much for me.”

She took a break — a self-imposed holiday — and never went back. She said her heart “skipped a beat” this week when she heard about the young female officer’s suicide.

“That woman obviously didn’t know who to turn to. She’s had to kill herself to get rid of the pain and the trauma. I never got to that point. I was lucky in a lot of ways but I understand how somebody can’t escape from those visions and those thoughts.”

These days, with the help of her colleagues and Victoria Police, Ms Fraser is employed again. She lectures at a Melbourne TAFE in investigative techniques and human rights but she misses her old job, too.

“I lost the best job in the world because I didn’t trust my instincts. That’s my message: If you’re struggling, talk to somebody. We need to educate people more that struggling to cope with seeing children abused or digging up human bodies is not something to be ashamed of.”

Victoria Police was approached for comment.

This is what such videos do to a normal mind. How sick do pedophiles have to be to be able to watch such horror, and even worse, to make those videos?

Narelle, you're my hero today. God bless you and heal you.

Ongoing Trauma for Survivors of Child Pornography Production

JASON VAN RASSEL,
CALGARY HERALD
Warren Binford, an American professor doing research at the U of Calgary, is probing how the circulation online of images and videos of children being sexually abused can traumatize the victims years after they've been rescued.

Between the ages of five and nine years old, Amy endured repeated sexual abuse at the hands of an uncle.
Wendi Warren Binford, Willamette University’s College of Law in Oregon
The physical pain Amy endured as a result of her uncle’s abuse ended with his arrest in 1998. But Amy, now a woman in her late 20s living in the U.S., suffers continued degradation: graphic photos of Amy being sexually violated by her uncle have been shared online by tens of thousands of pedophiles and continue to circulate around the world.

Police investigators and advocates who work with victims of child sexual exploitation contend the continued existence of images and videos on the Internet causes ongoing psychological trauma for victims long after the abuse has ended. Now, a visiting professor at the University of Calgary is looking for a way to prove that connection through brain research, with the aim of finding better methods of protecting child victims.

“One of the ways we can do that is by giving people a scientific understanding of how harmful this is,” said Warren Binford, a professor at Willamette University’s College of Law in Oregon.

“We can help people understand this is real, this is not about the victims ‘not getting over it.’ This is having a biological impact on their well-being.”

Many child abuse survivors never get completely 'over it'. Having photos or videos of their sexual abuse forever on the internet just adds another whole level of ongoing trauma.

Binford is at the University of Calgary through the fall as part of the Fulbright academic exchange program, a non-profit organization that funds Canadian and American researchers in a variety of fields. Binford is one of three American academics brought to Alberta as visiting chairs in child and family health and wellness through a partnership between Fulbright and the Calgary-based Palix Foundation.

Binford cited Alberta’s universities as leaders in brain research, but another distinction — a darker one — also lured her to Canada.

“Canada, like the U.S., is one of the leading senders and receivers of child sexual abuse images,” she said.

“You’ve got a problem with child pornography, but you also have the resources to move forward.”

The Internet allows pedophiles to trade and circulate images and videos of children being sexually abused with a high degree of anonymity. It’s not uncommon for police around the world to turn up images of child victims years after the abuse took place. In Amy’s case, it’s estimated 70,000 images of her have been recovered by police around the world.

“We keep encountering the same series of photos. We know they’re still out there and they’re never going away,” said Staff Sgt. John Guigon of Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams, a provincial organization that investigates serious and organized crime.

While the law has begun to recognize the trauma inflicted by adults who sexually abuse children, Binford said society has been slower to recognize that people who trade and circulate child pornography are also committing a serious crime — even if they haven’t physically abused a child themselves.

“We have a public that doesn’t appreciate the impact (spreading child pornography) has had on victims,” she said.

Amen! Thanks for speaking out about it. You're my hero today, God bless you.

Monster Sentenced to Several Centuries for Child Sex Abuse

A judge in Chester County, Pennsylvania, sentenced a man to 339 to 690 years behind bars for sexually abusing children.

Authorities say Warren Yerger molested four in his care over the course of more than two decades.

He performed depraved and often violent acts on victims who were as young as 3 years old.

Back in December, Yerger was convicted at trial of over 100 counts.

What this guy did to little children - I wish he would live to see every one of those 690 years.

Sick, Degenerative, Lesbian Couple Abused and Sexually Abused Girls

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma - New details were revealed surrounding child sex abuse allegations against an Oklahoma City lesbian couple.

Oklahoma's contribution to America's worst mothers list
As News 9 reported, they were arrested and charged last year for beating, torturing and starving a child:

12/2/2014 Related Story: Two Oklahoma City Women Arrested For Child Abuse
Oklahoma City Police arrested 43-year-old Becky Truelove and 45-year-old Lisa Vanetten for Child Abuse.

The incident occurred in early October when the girl was spotted in a school hallway in Southwest Oklahoma City, with injuries to her face. Her school uniform was also very dirty and smelled of animals.

According to reports, the girl claimed to have been punched in the face by her “father," the girlfriend of her aunt who is the sole custodian. The girl is forced to call her aunt's lesbian lover “dad." Also, she said they had 10 dogs and 13 cats in the residence.

She told authorities that this is a normal pattern of abuse.

The girl was placed in the care of DHS.

Now, court documents outline sex crimes involving two different underage victims.

Initially both of the women were charged , one with Child Abuse and the other for enabling it, but now both of them have been rearrested and are in the Oklahoma County Jail Friday night.

You could see broken windows and an overflowing mailbox from the outside of the home, but once you got to the front door there was a hint of what authorities said was inside. You could smell it from the porch. The conditions were deplorable, but how two young girls were abused police said, is unspeakable.

Court documents did the talking, and in a probable cause affidavit just filed against Lisa Vanetten it stated Vanetten and her lesbian partner Becky Truelove sexually abused two girls who were in their care. The document stated for years the girls were assaulted and Vanetten and Truleove touched the girls private areas, made the girls go into their bedroom and undress and "forced to watch Truelove and Vanetten have sex."

In another document filed against Truelove it described sex acts the couple would perform on the girls. It also stated the couple tried using a sex toy on one of the girls.

Both women are behind bars facing additional charges of sexual abuse of a minor.

News 9 was told both their bonds have been increased with this new case.

It's hard to believe that neighbors did not have any idea of the wretched conditions these girls were living in. Is our fear of getting involved in something like this stronger than our love or compassion for abused young girls? It is just disgraceful that it went on for years and no-one reported it.
