Daughter of Famed Sci-Fi Author Reveals Sexual Horrors She Suffered Growing Up in LGBT Home

Sin is progressive!

LifeSiteNews – The daughter of famed science fiction author Marion Zimmer Bradley has written an autobiographical account revealing the horrors of growing up in a home raised by LGBT parents who repeatedly sexually abused her and her brother.

“I have heard all the customary protestations. ‘Your parents were evil because they were evil, not because they were gay,’ but I disagree,” writes Moira Greyland in her new book, The Last Closet: The Dark Side of Avalon.

“The underlying problem is a philosophical one that is based on beliefs that are not only common to gay culture but to popular culture. And this is the central belief: All Sex is Always Right No Matter What,” she wrote.

“I had both biological parents in the home, but both refused to act like traditional parents,” writes Greyland. “I needed my father to protect me and to see me as a girl instead of refusing to protect me and seeing me as an amorphous nothing who competed with him for boys. I needed my mother to love me and hold me and comfort me instead of being a terrifying, angry dictator. Worse than that, I was expected to not want them to love me and protect me, or to act like normal parents. I was supposed to be happy that they were doing their own thing, no matter what they did to us.”

The Last Closet has been an Amazon bestseller for weeks as a Kindle e-book, and is scheduled to be published as a print book this month. Over one hundred readers have reviewed it, and virtually all have given it five stars.

The book recounts Greyland’s life with her mother, who was the author of The Mists of Avalon and many other famous works of science fiction and fantasy, and her father, Walter Breen, who was a world-renowned authority on numismatics. Both identified as “gay,” both abused drugs and were involved in occult practices, and both were pedophiles, Greyland says, a claim that has been confirmed by her only surviving brother.

The couple’s LGBT ideology was constantly imposed on the children by both parents. Greyland says that Zimmer Bradley expected her to take on masculine mannerisms and to become a lesbian, and was disappointed in her attraction to the opposite sex, accusing her of being a “breeder.” Greyland also had to hide from her parents her conversion to Christianity which would have been received with terrible derision.

Alarmingly, Greyland reveals that her parents’ sympathetic views of pedophilia and pederasty had been a public fact for decades, one known particularly among science fiction and fantasy fans who attended fan conferences. Science fiction fans documented his molestation of at least ten children by 1963, which had only resulted in his temporary exclusion from the largest science fiction fan convention, Worldcon, and was never reported to the police. Breen continued to attend conferences for many years afterward, baiting children he targeted with abuse with various science education gadgets that would attract their attention.

Greyland writes that Breen was an open member of the “North American Man-Boy Love Association,” and he saw his pederastic proclivities as a natural consequence of his homosexuality. He and Zimmer Bradley jointly published a journal on pederasty and pedophilia, The International Journal of Greek Love, in 1965 and 1966, and Zimmer wrote an article for it treating lesbian pedophilia in a positive manner.

Sexually abused by her own parents

As awareness grew of Breen’s molestation of children among Berkeley science fiction fans in 1963, a newsletter was published about the problem that came to be called the “Breendoggle,” which openly speculated that Zimmer Bradley was tolerant of Breen’s behavior. However, the truth about Zimmer Bradley’s own sexual abuse of her daughter did not come to light until 2014, when Greyland was asked about her parents’ connection to pedophilia by the blogger and science fiction writer Deirdre Saoirse Moen.

Greyland’s response, published in Moen’s blog, received heavy coverage by major media outlets worldwide, including The Washington Post, The Guardian, Die Welt, and Entertainment Weekly. Many fans and former acquaintances of Zimmer Bradley denounced her, and some even burned her books.

“The first time she molested me, I was three. The last time, I was twelve, and able to walk away,” wrote Moira Greyland of her mother.

“I put Walter in jail for molesting one boy. I had tried to intervene when I was 13 by telling Mother and [Zimmer Bradley’s girlfriend] Lisa, and they just moved him into his own apartment.”

“I had been living partially on couches since I was ten years old because of the out of control drugs, orgies, and constant flow of people in and out of our family “home.”

The family’s secrets began to unravel in the late 1980s, when Moira, now an adult, personally saw her father sexually abusing a boy and reported him to the police. Her testimony ensured a third conviction after an earlier arrest and conviction in the 1950s. Soon after, police uncovered the previous conviction as well as other accusations of sexual molestation, and prosecutors were able to send Walter Breen to prison for the rest of his life. Breen never repented of his acts, and always defended them, treating himself as a victim of an ignorant and backward society. He died of cancer while in jail awaiting transfer to long-term imprisonment.

Zimmer Bradley and her lesbian partner Elisabeth Walters went on the record in ensuing civil litigation admitting to knowing about Breen’s proclivities, and ultimately agreed to pay a civil settlement to Breen’s victims. However, their fans remained generally unaware of Zimmer Bradley’s own acts of sexual abuse until Moira and her brother Patrick began to speak publicly about it in 2014.

Why gays should never be able to adopt

The trauma suffered by Moira and Patrick was so great that both of them chose a new last name, “Greyland,” to repudiate their parents’ last names. The abuse was not only sexual, but also physical and psychological, and was so savage that both siblings continue to suffer from powerful symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder.

Greyland says she has spoken to many others who were raised by LGBT parents and their stories are very similar to her own.

“Every single child of gay parents with whom I spoke had certain things in common,” she writes in The Last Closet. “Those with only same-sex parents in the home ached for their missing parent and longed for a real father, and nearly all of us had been sexualized far too young.”

YouTube Star Austin Jones Arrested on
Child Pornography Charges

Austin Jones was arrested Monday night on child pornography charges, E! News can confirm.

The YouTube star, who has amassed more than 500,000 subscribers for his acapella pop music covers, was charged with two counts of production of child pornography.

Jones, 24, will appear in court for a detention hearing on Wednesday. According to the Chicago Sun-Times (who was first to report the news), he will remain in federal custody until then because, according to prosecutors, the pop singer is a "risk to the community and there's a danger he'll flee."

If convicted, Austin faces a minimum of 15 years in prison. According to court documents obtained by E! News, Jones was allegedly in communication with two underage female victims in August 2016 and May 2017 over Facebook. The criminal complaint describes Jones requesting one girl to "prove" she was his "biggest fan" by sending him sexually explicit videos.

The documents claim Jones was stopped by Customs and Border Patrol and Homeland Security Investigations at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago. He was then taken into custody, where he gave a recorded interview admitting to the charges.

Former church youth leader pleads not guilty
to child sexual abuse charges
Stephen Gruber-Miller

A former church youth leader is pleading not guilty to multiple accusations of child sexual abuse and related charges.

Benjamin C. Tweedt, 32, of North Liberty on Thursday entered a written plea of not guilty to all charges against him, online court records show.

Police say Tweedt, a former youth leader and mentor at Parkview Church in Iowa City, fondled or had inappropriate sexual interactions with at least four children between the ages of 11 and 13 from 2006 to 2013. He was arrested in April, but was released after posting bond.

The church, which reported the allegations to police in February, says Tweedt was a volunteer but was never an employee.

Police said most of the abuse occurred during one-on-one visits with children in Tweedt's capacity as a volunteer with the church. North Liberty Police Chief Diane Venenga said the abuse happened in homes and church retreat locations in North Liberty and Coralville.

All of the victims and witnesses interviewed by police had a connection to Parkview Church, Venenga said at the time of Tweedt's arrest.

Tweedt also taught at Heritage Christian School in North Liberty from 2009 to 2013, and is the author of a series of young adult books featuring a teenage boy named Greyson Gray who fights terrorists.

The charges against him, to which he has pleaded not guilty, are:

One count of third-degree sexual abuse, a class C felony;
Two counts of lascivious acts with a child - fondle or touch, a class C felony;
Three counts of indecent contact with a child, an aggravated misdemeanor;
Two counts of lascivious conduct with a minor, a serious misdemeanor.

If convicted on all counts, Tweedt could face up to 38 years in prison. His trial has been set for Oct. 10.

By BISHOP NASH The Herald-Dispatch

HUNTINGTON - West Virginia State Police have arrested a 48-year-old Barboursville man accused of sexually abusing a young female family member over a four-year period beginning when she was 7 years old.

Donald Keith Moore is charged with two counts of sexual abuse by a parent or guardian, two counts of first-degree sexual assault, two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, two counts of third-degree sexual assault and two counts of third-degree sexual abuse, according to criminal complaints from Cabell County Magistrate Court.

The investigation began in May when the victim, now housed at an alternative school in Ona, confided in employees she had been sexually abused by Moore between 2009 and 2013, beginning when she was in the second grade.

In an interview with troopers, the victim accused Moore of performing sexual acts and groping her as she pretended to sleep while her mother was away at work. The reported abuse happened on at least 10 occasions, complaints state, at three different residences in Huntington.

The investigation led to warrants for Moore's arrest being signed Friday, and he was arrested later that night.

Moore remains incarcerated at Western Regional Jail on a $100,000 bond.

Peter Martin Ebel – Prolific International Imposter and Child Abuser

by cathy fox blog

Peter Martin Ebel was a serial child abuser whose most frequently used aliases were Ed Scott and Alan Scott but he has also used a number of aliases for his books - Reynolds Locke, Edward Alan Scott, Ed Scott and James Congdon. He also poses as a Doctor or educator. He was born in the US about 1959, the son of the Vice President of Marketing of US Corporation General Foods during the 1950' and 1960's.

Peter Martin EbelHe is currently, finally, in jail in the US. He had travelled extensively and may have left a huge trail of victims over Europe including England, France, Malta, Ireland and Albania as well as Libya in North Africa, and probably 14 or 15 other countries including of course the United States.

He has chosen many boys aged 11-14, and obtained valium and codeine on bogus prescriptions. He is American but apparently can do an excellent upper crust British accent. He comes across as very likeable and children gravitate to him easily.

Inspired by Leonid Kamaneff and his "schools on boats" project "L'Ecole en Bateau" Ebel set up two flight schools for children, SkyBlazers and CloudChasers. He  arranged flight training programs for kids 12 and over.

Kameneff also was an abuser of children for many years but was finally sentenced to 12 years prison in 2013.  There were three boats, the “Karrek Ven” a fishing vessel, the “Paladin” and “Bilbo”.

Child Sex Abuse Survivor Wants to Shatter the Alaskan Silence With Erin’s Law

Writer David Holthouse shares his story of being raped as a child
during a talk at the Alaska Capitol
Rep. Geran Tarr (D-Anchorage) first introduced Erin’s Law last year
Alaska raised writer David Holthouse has told his story of being sexually abused as a child before. It’s appeared in newspapers, on the radio, on stage in New York City and may even end up on the movie screen.

But when he spoke in the Alaska Capitol building today, it was to support Erin’s Law. If passed, the bill would require public schools statewide to provide age-appropriate K-12 sexual abuse education.

David Holthouse has distinct childhood memories of learning how to stop, drop and roll if he ever caught on fire. He remembers McGruff the Crime Dog telling him to stay away from strangers.

“But neither McGruff nor anybody else warned me about the homecoming king,” Holthouse says.

In 1978, Holthouse was 7 years old and his family had recently moved to Anchorage. They befriended another family with a daughter his age and a son in high school. The son was a star athlete, good looking and well spoken. He was nice to Holthouse.

But he changed his demeanor the night he invited Holthouse to his room to play karate.

“He took those ninja throwing stars and he pushed me up against the wall and he started throwing them like a knife thrower at the circus – thunk, thunk – so they landed right next to me saying ‘Don’t move’ – thunk – ‘Don’t move,'” Holthouse says. “And then he took a samurai sword off the wall and he drew it out of the sheath and he put the blade to my neck and he said, ‘If you don’t do exactly what I want, I’m going to kill you.'”

Holthouse was raped, and then threatened with death and the death of his family if he ever told anyone. After a state of shock, Holthouse quickly realized what happened, but he didn’t know what to call it.

“I didn’t have a word for what had happened to me. To go back to McGruff – McGruff had never taught me about ‘safe touch’ and ‘unsafe touch,’ or ‘good secrets’ and ‘bad secrets.’ If I had even been able to come forward and say, ‘That thing we talked about in school – that happened to me.’ I didn’t need any graphic terminology. I just needed a few words and the invitation to speak them,'” Holthouse says.

He says if Erin’s Law had been in effect before he was raped, he might have never been assaulted.

Two years ago Holthouse admitted that he came within a hairsbreadth of murdering his assailant several years later.

David Holthouse said he had the murder meticulously planned. He bought a Beretta 9 mm with a silencer and had the serial number removed, then tested it in the Arizona desert. He said he stalked the intended victim's Colorado home and came within a hair's breadth of killing the man who brutally raped him as a 7-year-old.

"This wasn't just a revenge fantasy, though it's tempting to lie about it now," said Holthouse, now 41 and working as a documentary filmmaker and investigative reporter in Alaska. "If I had gone through with it, I most certainly would have been caught."

Instead, Holthouse said, he confronted his childhood assailant face-to face and found not the "bogeyman" who had haunted his psyche for 25 years but a "frightened, damaged man" begging for his forgiveness.

And were it not for a serendipitous discovery of that awful truth by his mother, Holthouse swears he, too, would have been a dead man.

Holthouse's story was made into an off-Broadway play called 'Stalking the Bogeyman'.

“Perpetrators of these crimes, they rely on shame and silence. They rely on our collective conspiracy of denial and silence about this. And if that silence had already been shattered, which educating every kid in a public school statewide will do, he might have thought that he couldn’t get away with it,” Holthouse says.

But he says he can’t know that for sure. What he does know is that Erin’s Law will prevent kids from being sexually assaulted. He says schools need to have curriculum and talk openly about it.

“I’m not just speaking on my own behalf. I’m speaking for tens of thousands of Alaska children and the adults they’ll grow up to be. And what I’m saying is, ‘Help us,'” Holthouse says.

Democratic Rep. Geran Tarr introduced the bill last year and it appeared poised to become law. Then-Gov. Sean Parnell supported Erin’s Law, the Senate passed it and the House version had 21 co-sponsors. But the bill got stuck in committee.

This year, there are four identical Erin’s Law bills – two from Republicans and two from Democrats. And Gov. Bill Walker wants it on his desk. Democratic Sen. Berta Gardner’s version was the first to get a hearing in Senate Education.

Tarr hopes the bill will pass this session. She understands some lawmakers are uncomfortable with Erin’s Law being a requirement, but she says there are likely community resources and private dollars available.

“We approached the Rasmuson Foundation, Alaska Children’s Trust, Mat-Su Health Foundation and just put the idea out there of would they be a resource for helping implement a curriculum and they all responded in a positive way,” Tarr says.

Erin’s Law has passed in 20 states and is pending in 21 others, including Alaska.
