OK Sex Offender Man Charged With Child Sex Abuse of
2 Girls IN HIS CARE!
BY: DAVID PROCK, NEWSON6.COM
MUSKOGEE COUNTY, Oklahoma - A Muskogee County man is charged with two counts of child sexual abuse after prosecutors say he inappropriately touched two young girls who were in his care.
Muskogee Investigators say Kenneth Brandt would touch and shower with the girls and take naked pictures of them at his home near Braggs.
Brandt is a lifetime registered sex offender for a 1998 rape in Michigan.
I'm missing something here. How does a lifetime sex offender end up with 2 little girls in his care? How? What is the point of the sex offender registry? Is it not to prevent perverts from getting their filthy hands on children? If it isn't, why isn't it?

Former Wisconsin priest faces child sex assault charges

JEFFERSON (WKOW) - A Madison Catholic priest is charged with six felony crimes, accused of sexually victimizing a teenage boy more than a decade ago in Forth Atkinson.
64-year old William A. Nolan appeared in Jefferson County Court Thursday via video conference from the county jail.
While Nolan is charged with a half dozen counts of sexual assault of a child under 16 years of age, a criminal complaint against him maintains a more significant pattern of conduct with the boy. "He reported that the sexual encounters between himself and Father Bill occurred at least 100 times over the course of 4-5 years," the complaint states.
Fort Atkinson Police Chief Adrian Bump says the six charges represent the encounters supported by sufficient evidence to allege a crime.
The complaint states the charged, sexual assault took place in 2006, primarily on the property of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The complaint says the now 25-year old victim attended the church school and was an altar boy. It states the sexual assaults began after he confided in the priest he was gay. The complaint says sexual encounters took place following Catholic masses, funerals, and even during an eighth grade cross country race.
"This is a delayed report of almost thirteen years," Bump says. "Based on our own interaction and working closely with our victim, it was identified that a concern that there may be other kids out there who were assaulted," Bump says.
Bump says he is unaware of any additional victims at this time. But he invites anyone who was victimized or has information to contact the Fort Atkinson Police Department.
A judge gave Nolan a signature bond, with conditions he not be at St. Joseph's, nor have contact with minors.
I don't suppose the judge is a Catholic?
When Nolan left the Jefferson County jail, a 27 News reporter asked him what he would tell parishioners who have supported him over the years.
"I love them," Nolan said.
Nolan refused to answer a question on whether his accuser was telling the truth.
Nolan lives near Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Madison, as a retired priest-in-residence. Bump says his responsibilities included filling-in at various Catholic churches for Masses, and other liturgical needs.
A statement from Madison Catholic Diocese spokesperson Brent King includes notification in the change of Nolan's status:
Upon learning of his arrest and pending charges a diocesan representative contacted the Fort Atkinson police assuring them of our full cooperation. Simultaneously, and although Fr. Nolan has been retired since 2007 and does not hold any ecclesiastical office or function, Bishop Morlino placed him on what is commonly called “administrative leave,” as required by the Essential Norms in force in the dioceses of the USA. This includes a total exclusion from any exercise of priestly ministry while the matter is pending. The diocese also began its own canonical process of investigating these allegations, and the diocesan Sexual Abuse Review Board was engaged.
Bump says his agency had received no previous complaints against Nolan, but says about a decade ago, Janesville Police officials investigated suspicious activity by Nolan involving another adult, but no arrest was made.
Arizona man sentenced to 17 years in child porn case
A Safford man has been sentenced 17 years in federal prison for distribution and possession of child pornography.
Wayne Montierth, 54, was sentenced Wednesday in federal court in Tucson by U.S. District Judge James A. Soto, a news release from the U.S. Attorney in Arizona said.
A jury found Montierth guilty of four counts of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography. His prison term will be followed by lifetime supervised release with stringent sex offender conditions, including the requirement that he register as a sex offender, the news release said.
A 2015 investigation by agents with the FBI's Sierra Vista office found Montierth was distributing sexually explicit images of children online using file-sharing software. A search of his computer turned up thousands of images and videos depicting child sex abuse.
The man's activities were part of on-going pattern of sexual abuse of children, the sentencing judge found.

A man is facing 65 criminal charges stemming from alleged sex acts with a 3-year-old girl.
Maurice Lamar Smith, 34, was being held without bond in the Washington County Detention Center. The center reported that Smith has no fixed address.
Smith is charged with second-degree rape, sodomy, sexual abuse of a minor, second-degree assault and third-degree sex offense. The remaining charges are related to possessing and producing pornography involving a child.
According to court documents, a warrant was issued for Smith's arrest after the child's mother reported finding 15 photos on a digital tablet.
"The photos were of a most heinous nature," Kenneth Shapiro, representing the state's attorney's office, said during a bond review hearing Friday in Washington County District Court.
Court documents indicate the woman, who lives in Hagerstown, discovered the photos on May 10. They had been taken on the same date in November on a cellphone, "but were not present (on the tablet) prior to her 'syncing' the tablet," the documents state.
Hagerstown police believe the incidents happened on Nov. 22, based on data from the digital photos.
After discovering the pictures, the woman confronted Smith, "and he said nothing and immediately left," according to the documents. "As soon as these photos were found, the defendant went into hiding," Shapiro said at Friday's hearing.
The woman reported what she had found to authorities on May 14. "She just couldn't process how awful all this was," Shapiro said of the delay.
According to the documents, the child's eyes are closed in the photos. The woman told police she "believed that (Smith) gave something to (the child) prior to the alleged sexual assault," the documents state.
District Judge Terry A. Myers ordered Smith to be held without bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 14.

SPRINGFIELD -- A suspended city police officer was arrested and charged with multiple counts of child rape after the alleged victims' mother went to police to report recent disclosures from her children, according to court documents.
Daniel J. Cintron, 28, was arraigned on 18 criminal counts in Springfield District Court Friday and held without right to bail. A dangerousness hearing was scheduled for May 23 to vet whether Cintron should be released pending trial.
The charges against him include rape of a child with force, indecent assault and battery on a child and witness intimidation. Looking pained as he was led into court in handcuffs, he pleaded not guilty to the charges. The alleged victims are under 10 years old, according to court records. The accusations stem from events dating to 2015, the records say.
"(One victim) who is 9 years old disclosed that when she was 6 Daniel Cintron began to touch her in an inappropriate manner," a police report dated May 17 reads.
With the indictments, Cintron, a 3-year veteran, is now suspended indefinitely without pay.
It is the second criminal case to be leveled against the three-year veteran of the police force in under a year. He was indicted in Hampden Superior Court in 2017 for unarmed robbery and assault and battery and had been released without bail.
Cintron has been suspended without pay since that indictment.
That case focused on an alleged clash outside the Eastfield Mall between Cintron and a friend and three teens. Cintron's friend, Matthew Mattoon, who was also charged, allegedly punched a 15-year-old after the teen sent Mattoon's sister an unseemly text. He also took the teen's cell phone, court records state.
Cintron then told the boy: "You're lucky I didn't let Matt kill you. He's an ex-con, and I would have done nothing about it," according to police reports. Cintron was off duty but dressed in camouflage, and armed with a knife and a gun, investigators have said.
On Friday, Cintron appeared in jeans and a T-shirt. He had been arrested at his home on Monson hours earlier and held overnight at the Hampden County House of Correction, court records show.
A woman appeared in court at the end of Cintron's arraignment to seek a anti-abuse and stay-away order on behalf of two minors. Judge John Payne granted the order for one year.
The investigation was led by the Major Crimes Unit under Capt. Trent Duda.

HARDEMAN COUNTY, TX (KAUZ) -
A former Chillicothe City Council member was sentenced to 218 years in prison following a three day trial in Hardeman County.
Brian Rambo, 49, was found guilty in less than 45 minutes of two counts of sexual assault and one count of indecency with a child by contact.
In October 2017, a victim came forward with information that Rambo had assaulted her when she was six years old in 2008.
The victim's confession led to more abuse allegations in Rambo's past.
"I need to acknowledge the incredible amount of time and effort put into this investigation by DA Investigator Jeff Case," stated District Attorney Staley Heatly. "He traveled all over the area with Hardeman County Chief Deputy Michael Burrows interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence. Jeff helped put together a strong case that brought this serial child abuser to justice."
Three other victims testified they were abused by Rambo between 2008 and 2014 during the trial.
During the punishment phase, testimony from two more victims was introduced that alleged Rambo had abused them in 1996 or 1997.
In total, the jury was informed of seven different people who had been abused by Rambo between 1996 and 2014.
"Brian Rambo will never spend another day on this planet as a free man," stated Heatly. "He will never have the chance to sexually abuse another child in his life. Our community and our children are much safer now that Brian Rambo is not a part of it."
Awesome! Well done!
