Man Who Raped 3-m/o Baby and Fractured Her Ribs
Gets Only 4 Years in Prison
Gets Only 4 Years in Prison
On Monday, 33-year-old Andrew Glasser entered an Alford plea in the court of Bismarck, North Dakota.
Trigger Warning: Graphic Details of Child Abuse
In an outrageous turn of events, a pedophile accused of raping and inflicting horrific injuries on a 3-month-old baby girl was sentenced to four years in prison. On Monday, 33-year-old Andrew Glasser entered an Alford plea at the court in Bismarck, North Dakota. The plea is in no way an admission of guilt but is an agreement that evidence found against him would produce a guilty verdict. However, courts in the state treat the Alford plea as a guilty plea. Despite the harrowing nature of the crime, the accused was given a light sentence.

Why is the sentence so short, he should be doing alot longer than 4 years. He will get out and do the exact same thing again.
The terrifying incident unfolded in October 2017 when the baby was brought to a hospital. She had a number of injuries that raised suspicion. After carefully examining the wounds, a medical examiner concluded that the baby had suffered several rib fractures due to squeezing. Many trauma wounds were found in several parts of her body, including injuries that were in different stages of healing in the fibula and those to the baby's femur and tibia.
According to Metro, it is unclear as to how Glasser is related to the baby. But his sickening actions against the innocent baby were uncovered after he failed to provide doctors with convincing answers about her injuries. He claimed that the baby was accidentally hurt while he pushed her legs and stomach to 'relieve gas.' Due to the suspicious nature of his answers and the injuries, the medical professionals immediately contacted authorities. Eventually, the police managed to get the truth out of him.

Not to worry, the prison populations aren’t kind to child rapists. He will be lucky to make it a year before he’s brought to justice in prison.
The Bismarck Tribune reports how prosecutors in the case noted that Glasser had inflicted 'a significant injury' to the baby and still received a relatively light sentence of four years jail time. "He injured (an infant). There’s no excuse for that," the lawyer told South Central District Judge David Reich. The outlet further noted how Glasser had formatted his cellphone history in a bid to wipe any piece of evidence that could link him to his wrongdoings.
Nevertheless, forensic experts managed to retain whatever the accused was attempting to hide from officials. They revealed that Glasser had been downloading child pornography deliberately for quite some time. Julie Lawyer, the Burleigh County State’s Attorney, said that examiners found several images of child pornography on his phone. With all the evidence stacked against him, Glasser had his back against the wall. Finally, he decided to plead guilty to many charges, including abusing a 3-month-old and tampering with evidence.
Additionally, he plead guilty to ten other counts of possessing child pornography. A presentence investigation (a proceeding followed by a criminal conviction where a judge or jury examined all particulars relevant to the crime and the criminal before passing a sentence) was also ordered. Judge Reich heard that the injury sustained by the baby was concluded as a "penetrating wound." They also mentioned how the toddler had suffered "significant injury" during the heinous ordeal.
Not even a toddler; it just a baby.
There was "nothing but pain in this situation" for all parties involved, explained Robert Bolinske, the defense attorney. Asking for leniency in sentencing due to Glasser's spotless record, he advocated that Glasser should get probation with no prison time since he had no violations while he was on pretrial release. However, he noted that Glasser had to register as an offender against children and a sex offender. "His life is over as he knows it," said Bolinske strengthening his argument.
"I’m trying to get my life back after it stopped on a dime two years ago," said Glasser, who has been working two jobs. His lawyers further revealed that Glasser has expressed his apologies to "any victims affected by this" and requested a sentence of probation. But Reich said that he had to incarcerate Glasser, else he would be failing in his duty. "I keep coming back to the victim," expressed Reich as he went on to describe the child's broken bones as 'troubling.' Furthermore, he noted, "This was a very young, helpless victim." Finally, Glasser was sentenced to "10 years in prison with all but four years suspended for a period of five years on supervised probation on the most serious charge," according to the report.
Chicago Freed Illegal Immigrant Who Then
Sexually Assaulted A Toddler
ICE points out that Chicago-area law enforcement agencies routinely denies the detainer requests they lodge against criminal illegal immigrants. They say those illegal are then released where they can reoffend.
That’s exactly what happened in the case of a previously deported illegal immigrant with an aggravated felony conviction who has now been arrested for sexually assaulting a three-year-old girl.
Christopher Puente, 34, was arrested on Feb. 19 for sexually assaulting a 3-year-old despite ICE's previous request that police continue detaining the previously deported felon.
From ICE:
In June 2019, ICE lodged an immigration detainer with the Chicago Police Department on Puente, who has several felony convictions and a prior removal, after he was arrested for theft.
That detainer was not honored and on Feb. 19, 2020, Puente was once again arrested, except this time it was for sexually assaulting a 3-year-old at a fast food restaurant.
“How many more victims must there be before lawmakers realize that sanctuary policies do not protect the innocent?” asked Robert Guadian, field office director of Chicago Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). “Puente should have been in ICE custody last year and removed to his home country. Instead, irresponsible lawmaking allowed him to walk free and prey on our most vulnerable.”
Puente has a long criminal history that includes two felony convictions for forced-entry burglary (2011 and 2017) and forgery (2012).
On Dec. 5, 2014, ERO officers removed Puente to Mexico, pursuant to an administrative removal order as Puente is a convicted aggravated felon due to his previous felony burglary conviction.
Five days later, on Dec. 10, 2014, border agents encountered Puente at the Brownsville, Texas, border crossing. Puente claimed to be a U.S. citizen and presented a birth certificate. Puente was subsequently charged with falsely claiming citizenship and served a notice to appear before an immigration judge. On March 30, 2017, an immigration judge ordered Puente removed, in absentia, as he failed to show up for his immigration hearing.
Puente also goes by the aliases Christopher Adam Puente, Chris Jose Puente and Juan Manuel Lopez (age 41).
On Feb. 20, 2020, ICE filed an immigration detainer with Cook County Jail after his sexual assault arrest.
Lawyer accused of ignoring abuse of autistic boy before his death, ripped by his mother at Long Island hearing
By TREVOR BOYER and GRAHAM RAYMAN
NEW YORK DAILY NEWS |
Thomas Valva, 8, froze to death inside his father's Long Island home. (Handout)
A devastated Long Island mother charged a court-appointed lawyer totally failed to protect her 8-year-old autistic son from a brutal death in a frozen garage.
The irate Justyna Zubko-Valva verbally slammed lawyer Donna McCabe after a Nassau County Court hearing where the attorney walked away Thursday from her role in the bitter divorce case linked to the brutal death of little Thomas Valva.
McCabe, assigned to advocate for Thomas and his two brothers in the marital case, insisted to the court over the course of several years that all Zubko-Valva’s three sons were enjoying a good home life with their father Michael Valva. The dad was subsequently charged with his fiancee Angela Pollina in the Jan. 17 murder of Thomas, who was beaten and left to die in a freezing garage at the family’s Center Moriches home.
“Obviously, (McCabe) knows that the public are seeing her criminal actions, seeing what she’s done," said Zubko-Valva outside court. “Her criminal actions caused the death of my son Tommy. And unfortunately she’s gonna have to respond in front of God for what she’s done.”

McCabe reported to the court that Thomas, along with 10-year-old Anthony and 6-year-old Andrew, were treated well while living with their father — even vouching for NYPD Officer Valva to retain custody of the boys. The children were removed from their mother in September 2017 after Valva leveled unsubstantiated abuse allegations against his estranged wife.
All the while, the boys’ mother and school officials were sounding alarms about their condition. The boys, denied meals at home, were perpetually hungry at school and losing weight, officials said. The older two were sent to school in urine-soaked clothes, wore diapers and suffered visible injuries from abuse, school memos detailed.
“I actually petitioned to move the court in at least three different motions to remove her immediately for the damage she has done for all those years towards me and my children for hiding their severe abuse,” said Zubko-Valva. “Unfortunately she was too protected, the corruption was too enormous for any judge to just let her off the case.”

Since Thomas’ death, Suffolk County prosecutors alleged the boys were basically tortured for nearly two years while Michael Valva had full custody. Zubko-Valva only received custody of Anthony and Andrew once her middle child was killed.
“They’re doing good," she said of her surviving sons. “They’re improving every day. They’re gaining weight. We have strong support, family friends, and we’re just trying to take one day at a time... We can just look forward to having normal life and for the children’s healing process to continue.”
Michael Valva and Pollina entered pleas of not guilty to murder charges in Thomas’ tragic death. A recording recovered by investigators captured the couple discussing Thomas after one of the boy’s siblings asked why the boy couldn’t walk.
“He keeps face-planting on the concrete,” says Valva, and when Pollina said, “You know why he’s falling,” the cop responded, “Because he’s cold. Boo f---ing hoo.”
Days earlier Valva called his middle son a “piece of s--t” in a text to Pollina.

NY man charged with sharing videos of
child sexual abuse by the FBI
by: Johan SheridanALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Police arrested John Morgan, 31, of Gloversville Thursday, and charged him with distributing child pornography.
Law enforcement is currently seeking help from the public as they investigate Morgan. Anyone with information about him should call the FBI Albany Field Office at (518) 465-7551.
The FBI says it does not normally share mugshots, unless releasing the image may help with an ongoing investigation.
Police say he used the name “ilikyoung” to distribute videos showing the sexual exploitation of children via a cellphone app earlier in the week.
A conviction could earn Morgan a $250,000 fine, up to 20 years in prison, and post-release supervision that may last for the rest of his life. He would also have to register as a sex offender if convicted.
Former Lewisville, Tx, officer indicted on
child sex abuse, pornography charges
By Zaira Perez Staff WriterDenton Record-Chronicle
Former Lewisville police officer Bryan Preston Gibbins, 38, was indicted by a Denton County grand jury Thursday on child sex abuse and possession of child pornography charges.
Gibbins, 38, has remained in Denton County Jail since his arrest on Jan. 29 and is being in lieu of $2.8 million bail, according to jail records. He was charged with eight counts of child sex abuse charges and 15 counts of possession of child pornography, according to Denton County indictment records.
An arrest affidavit states Gibbins was in a sexual relationship with an unnamed 15-year-old girl from early 2019 to Jan. 9, 2020. The two met while Gibbins was working on a case in which she was the victim.
Gibbins would drive the girl to and from school and communicated with her through Snapchat, eventually under an alias, where they would send each other nude pictures, according to the affidavit.
The girl said the two became “exclusive” on March 30, around the same time Gibbins separated from his wife and he moved into a unit at the girl’s apartment complex, according to the affidavit. She also said they had sexual relations on three separate occasions.
The affidavit says a search of Gibbins’ apartment led police to clothing that belonged to her and nude pictures of her.
Lewisville Police Chief Kevin Deaver told The Dallas Morning News in January that he asked the Denton County Sheriff’s Office to investigate Gibbins after learning of the allegations. Gibbins was previously fired from the department’s crimes against children unit after internal affairs investigated an off-duty incident.
Gibbins also investigated the sexual abuse allegations against Lauren Kavanaugh, 26, who was abused by her parents as a child and was arrested on child sex abuse charges in late 2018.
That might explain some of her problems!
Fort Ann, NY, man sexually abused child for years
Don LehmanFORT ANN — A West Fort Ann man was jailed Thursday night for allegedly sexually assaulting a young boy repeatedly over a period of three years, authorities said.
Dennis E. Cutter, 69, was arrested after an investigation by the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation into allegations he had sexual contact with a child under the age of 12, officials said.
Cutter was charged with predatory sexual assault against a child, a felony that is the state's weightiest sex charge. It is punishable by up to life in state prison, and is filed when a person repeatedly rapes or sodomizes a child over a period of time.
The charge was filed after an investigation that began earlier this month when a boy with whom Cutter was acquainted disclosed that he had been sexually abused.
Investigators then determined that Cutter had groomed the child over a period of years before sexually abusing him hundreds of times over the past three years. Cutter made admissions when questioned, according to authorities.
The investigation is continuing, as police are looking into whether any of the boy's caregivers should be charged for not halting the alleged abuse.
Cutter was arraigned and sent to Washington County Jail without bail, as no bail can be set on the justice court level on predatory sexual assault against a child.
The charge is punishable by up to 25-years-to-life in state prison.
West Pittston, PA, man pleads guilty in child sex case
By Patrick Kernan pkernan@timesleader.com
WILKES-BARRE — A West Pittston man pleaded guilty to two charges stemming from accusations he sexually groomed an underage girl.
Andrew Anthony Terek, 28, entered guilty pleas on a felony count of sexual abuse of a minor and a misdemeanor count of corruption of minors before Luzerne County Judge David W. Lupas on Friday.
Terek was arrested in January after the girl’s mother made a report to police last November. The mother said Terek had been sending her daughter messages. Police reviewed the messages and said one of them showed Terek asking the girl to meet him on tracks on Luzerne Avenue.
Terek said in the message he wanted to give the girl a necklace as an apology for putting her into a stressful situation, according to police.
Police spotted Terek at the tracks in question, and asked him why he was there. When Terek said he was walking to a nearby restaurant to pick up a menu, officers reminded him the eatery was closed.
Terek then voluntarily agreed to talk with police, but retreated to a bathroom when police explained why they wanted to question him. Terek was heard vomiting from the restroom.
During the interview, Terek admitted to having sexual conversations with the girl and asking her to have sex. He said he pressed his genitals against the girl’s buttocks in late October, and also sent her a photo of a penis from the internet, because “(he) was embarrassed of how small his penis was,” police said.
The girl told police Terek added her as a friend on the social media platform Snapchat in mid-October, with Terek telling her at the time that he was 16.
Police said the girl reported “all he wanted was sex from me and there was times all I wanted to do was talk.” She told police she sent him sexually explicit videos on Snapchat after Terek continuously requested them.
Lupas ordered Terek be sentenced on June 4. He remains locked up at the county prison pending his sentencing.

Man arrested in Orem, UT, after allegedly
sexually abusing child 6 y/o girl
By Ryann Richardson Daily Herald Orem police arrested a Salt Lake City man for allegedly sexually abusing a child.
According to the probable cause statement filed in support of the arrest, detectives made contact with 41-year-old Vincent Craig Twitchell on Thursday afternoon after an alleged victim accused Twitchell of having a sexual relationship with her for several years beginning at the age of 6 years old.
During a Child Justice Center interview, the alleged victim told police there were multiple instances between residences located in Salt Lake City and Orem where Twitchell would inappropriately touch her and force her to touch him in a sexual manner.
The alleged victim also told police that Twitchell would take pictures of her naked during the sexual abuse with “an old style cell phone” that was “the kind you would push the buttons multiple times to change the letter,” according to the probable cause affidavit.
Detectives interviewed Twitchell Thursday afternoon, and after Twitchell was advised of his Miranda Rights, he agreed to speak with authorities. Police informed Twitchell of the accusations during the interview, and he allegedly never denied the allegations but said “those things were unimaginable,” according to the arrest documents.
After some time during the interview, Twitchell allegedly told authorities he believed the alleged victim’s allegations were truthful and had occurred, but he did not confess to the allegations or take responsibility.
Orem officials received similar reports of Twitchell sexually abusing a child from a different alleged victim in 2015. The girl in this case was 6 years old at the time of the disclosures, telling police that Twitchell had sexually abused her on multiple occasions in a home in Orem.
The girl said that to her best knowledge the abuse would take place every day. A deputy from the Utah County Attorney’s Office was contacted, and the deputy decided to take no action.
The deputy decided to take no action!!!
While authorities transported Twitchell to the Utah County Jail, he allegedly admitted to engaging in oral sex with both alleged victims and estimated that it occurred at least two or three times with each girl, although he doesn’t know the exact amount.
Twitchell told police he did not have a clear collection of events because during each incident he was extremely intoxicated, according to the probable cause statement.
Twitchell said he did take pictures of the abuse the most recent alleged victim reported, even corroborating the description of the cellphone used to take pictures from the girl’s recollection, but no longer has the photos. The phone, he said, was not capable of taking video.
Couldn't have been too drunk if he was able to use a phone that old.
Twitchell is currently being held at the Utah County Jail on $100,000 bail. He was arrested under suspicion on a first-degree felony charge of sodomy of a child and three second-degree felony charges of aggravated sexual abuse of a child.
Pensacola couple let sex predator rape child and

James Parker (top right) and Theresa Parker (bottom right) are accused of letting Robert Chase rape a girl for more than a year. (Picture: WKRG)
A couple let a convicted sex offender sexually abuse a young girl for more than a year and ignored video he took of the assaults, police said.
James Parker, 39, and Theresa Parker, 33, were arrested Tuesday and charged with child neglect for allegedly allowing 61-year-old Robert Chase to molest the girl, who is younger than 12, since December 2018 in Pensacola, Florida. The Parkers were arrested one day after Chase was taken into custody for sexual assault and lewd and lascivious behavior.
The girl, whose relationship to the Parkers has not been specified, told investigators that Chase raped her or ‘tried to have sex’ with her multiple times for more than a year, including the weekend before Chase’s arrest.
She said Chase also took sexual photos of her more than ‘100 different times’ and threatened to break her phone if she reported the abuse, according to The Pensacola News Journal. She also said Chase tried to tear up a journal in which she wrote about the abuse, according to the arrest report.
Deputies said the Parkers knew about the abuse after they found sexual videos taken of the girl by Chase. A witness also told police that the Parkers ignored warnings about Chase and his sex offender status, according to WKRG.
Chase has been a registered sex offender with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement since he was released from prison in 2012 upon serving a sentence for sexual battery on a victim 16 or 17 years old.
The Parkers were booked at the Escambia County Jail where they are being held without bond. Chase is being held in jail on a $200,000 bond.
Was Chase supplying them with drugs, or something? How disgusting some people are.
Frankfort, Ill, Man Faces Child Pornography,
Sexual Abuse Charges
Steven Cardenas, 30, is already facing charges in Will County, but now has additional charges from Cook County
By Andrea Earnest, Patch Staff FRANKFORT, IL — A Frankfort man already charged with possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography in Will County is now facing additional charges in Cook County. Steven Cardenas, 30, of the 20700 block of Woodlawn Court, was arrested in February on the Will County charges but is now facing nine counts of production of pornography and seven counts of predatory criminal sexual assault in Cook County.
The Cook County Sheriff's Office said investigators found videos of him engaging in sexual acts with a child. Police executed a search warrant at Cardenas' home in February, which is when he was charged in Will County.
During their investigation, Will County Sheriff's investigators found multiple images of child pornography on Cardenas' devices that they believed may have been produced in Cook County, the sheriff's office said.
The images were turned over to the Cook County Sheriff's Office, where investigators said they found nine videos of Cardenas engaging in sexual activity with a child at various times and locations in 2017 and 2018. The sheriff's office said investigators were able to locate the victim and determine the abuse took place in Cook County.
Cardenas was arrested Wednesday and appeared at a bond hearing at the Markham Courthouse Thursday. He was denied bond and will next appear in court on March 31.
Jury begins deliberations in ex-Springboro, Oh,
teacher’s child sex abuse case
By Lawrence BuddDayton Daily News
LEBANON —
The jury began deliberating about 10:15 a.m. today after closing arguments in the trial of former Springboro teacher John Austin Hopkins.
Prosecutors urged the jury to find Hopkins guilty of all 36 counts of gross sexual imposition filed against him involving interactions with 28 girls during his first-grade gym class from December 2018 to March 2019.
Hopkins’ lawyer told the jury they should trust in science, as the world must do in response to the continued spread of COVID-19, and accept that Hopkins could not have been sexually gratified by the interactions.
Lawyers paint different picture. During closing arguments, Prosecutor Kevin Hardman took jurors through the cases involving the girls over the four-month period captured on surveillance video of the Clearcreek Elementary School gym, describing graphically the alleged sex acts, while their first-grade school pictures projected on a big screen. Hardman ended with the girl who came home and told her parents how excited she was to have gotten to sit on the teacher’s lap. “Her disclosure that day put an end to this abuse,” Hardman said.
Hopkins’ lawyer acknowledged “it’s as inappropriate as it can be” and expressed sympathy for the parents. “You cannot be influenced by sympathy,” David A. Chicarelli said. Chicarelli reminded the jury they were expected to consider Hopkins not guilty until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He urged the jury to accept the testimony of two psychologists, including one who diagnosed him as suffering from Autism Spectrum Disorder, thus incapable of sexual gratification.
“Thank God he has been finally diagnosed so nothing like this will ever happen again,” the elder Chicarelli added. Prosecutor Julie Kraft charged Hopkins with lying to police and setting the groundwork for his defense during his interview with police.
“He felt their little bodies every which way possible,” Kraft said. Kraft also discredited the diagnosis and suggested their were other findings indicating Hopkins is a pedophile. Hopkins, 25, of Springboro, turned over his laptop to a detective as the jury began deliberations.
They waited until the trial began to confiscate and investigate his laptop. That's insane!
Judge Robert Peeler called a TV reporter for a hearing because she posted a picture of one of the girls on Twitter. The image has been taken down and the judge took no action against the reporter.
