Prince Andrew would 'shout and scream' if his teddy bear collection was knocked out of place by palace maids, a former royalty protection officer has claimed.
Former bodyguard Paul Page made the revelation during an interview with Ranvir Singh for the upcoming ITV documentary, Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and the Paedophile.
The former constable, who left the Metropolitan Police in 2007, was part of the elite Royal Protection Squad and had access to the Duke of York's private residence.
He claimed that Andrew had a bed with '50 or 60' stuffed toys and maids were given a laminated picture so each bear could carefully be put back in its original position.
He said: 'It had about 50 or 60 stuffed toys positioned on the bed and basically there was a card the inspector showed us in a drawer and it was a picture of these bears all in situ.
'The reason for the laminated picture was if those bears weren't put back in the right order by the maids, he would shout and scream.'
Writer Elizabeth Day was introduced to Andrew’s 'strange' teddy bear collection back in 2019 at Buckingham Palace.
She wrote: 'I was told to wait in a corridor where my only other companion was an oversized teddy bear squashed into a seat.
'When I was ushered in to meet Prince Andrew, I asked him about it. He sniggered and told me it had been a wedding gift from his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.
'It seemed rather strange to me that a grown man should be so amused by the presence of a stuffed toy, but I suppose the English upper classes have a long history with teddy bears used as transitional objects to express emotions they might feel uncomfortable with.
'I wondered if this was someone who had never really grown up because he had never had to. Here he was, taking up space in his mother’s house, carrying out a made-up job to keep him entertained and still having a teddy bear his ex-wife had given him. It was weird.'
The royalty protection officer - who was in the Royal Protection Command from 1998 to 2004 - also said that officers believed the Duke was in an 'intimate relationship' with Robert Maxwell's daughter, The Sun Online reports.

This photo seems to confirm a long-term relationship between the two.
He added: 'From the way she was allowed to enter and exit the palace at will, we suspected that she may have had an intimate relationship with Prince Andrew.
'She kept coming in and out, in and out.'
Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and the Paedophile will feature on ITV on Tuesday night at 9pm.

Scottish police have said they will take no action against transgender rights activists who posted a photo of J.K. Rowling’s Edinburgh home on Twitter. Law enforcement said the actions were deemed “not criminal.”
On Monday, Police Scotland confirmed that they had made inquiries into the alleged “doxxing” of J.K. Rowling but no criminality was established. The police gave no further information.
In November, the author claimed her home address in Edinburgh was exposed when a group of trans rights activists posed outside her house and shared the image on Twitter. Rowling said they had carefully positioned themselves to ensure the address was visible.
“I have to assume [they] thought doxxing (the act of publishing private personal information) me would intimidate me out of speaking up for women’s sex-based rights,” the 56-year-old tweeted in response.
“Perhaps, and I’m just throwing this out there, the best way to prove your movement isn’t a threat to women, is to stop stalking, harassing and threatening us,” she added.
That would require a certain amount of logic, Trans-activists don't use logic, just emotion.
The activists deleted the photo one day later, after they allegedly received “serious and threatening transphobic messages.”
Rowling claimed the activists were attempting to “intimidate” her, but said she had received “so many death threats I could paper the house with them” and still would not stop speaking her mind.
The author has sparked controversy over transgender issues in the past. She has frequently spoken up in defense of safe spaces for women, and caused a stir when she objected to the phrase “people who menstruate” being used in an op-ed article in place of the word “women.”
Scotland, however, has pushed forward with several policies aimed at making life easier for the trans community. For example, people can now self-identify as male or female in the Scottish census this year.

Jeffrey Epstein reportedly had ex-managers of his ‘orgy island’ sign an affidavit affirming they never saw Bill Clinton visiting the place.
Miles and Cathy Alexander were employed by Epstein between 1999 to 2007. According to the Daily Mail, in 2016, they were contacted by Epstein’s lawyer Darren Indyke, who wanted them to sign, under oath, a paper stating they never saw Bill Clinton on Little St. James island while they were managing the financier’s Caribbean property.
The British newspaper linked the move to the then-ongoing presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton, claiming Epstein went to “remarkable lengths” to “whitewash” her ex-president husband’s links to him.
Claims that Clinton visited the island, which was allegedly a place of hedonistic debauchery and sexual crimes against minors, came from Virginia Roberts (now Giuffre). She is one of Epstein’s victims, who is accusing Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, of taking advantage of her, an allegation the member of the British royal family denies.
Clinton admitted to having flown Epstein’s private jet, dubbed the “Lolita express” by the media, on several occasions, but denied he ever visited Little St. James island.
The Daily Mail said the Alexanders declined to speak to them, but that they managed to get some answers from certain people close to the couple, who currently live in South Africa. They reportedly didn’t witness any orgies on the island. Some of the girls visiting the place looked young to them, they told friends, but only one of them, a French model, was confirmed to be underage. She was “accompanied by a chaperone and had a letter of authority from her parents allowing her to travel,” according to the report.
The Alexanders resigned from their jobs a year after the FBI started investigating Epstein in what he described to his employees as a case of entrapment. Indyke, the lawyer who worked for the financier for two decades, contacted them in 2016. He brought a pre-written statement saying that “to the best of their knowledge” Bill Clinton had never visited the island during their tenure managing it, a source told the Daily Mail.
Miles reportedly slightly reworded the document before he and his wife signed it in the presence of a notary. According to the Daily Mail, what the couple told their friends about Clinton didn’t contradict the affidavit.
The source suggested that the move was linked to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign. “There was a worry that the link between Epstein and Clinton and in particular the island could be used against Hillary,” the source explained.
Perhaps the title of this article should be, "Clinton worked to whitewash Billie's ties"?
Epstein died in a prison cell in 2019 as he was awaiting trial on multiple charges including sex trafficking. He pleaded not guilty. His death was described as a suicide by authorities. In December, his confidante Ghislaine Maxwell was found guilty and convicted by a US federal court on several charges related to the sex trafficking of minors.
