My home life growing up was quite dysfunctional; I am the youngest of four, and knew from an early age that my mother never planned for a daughter.

This guest post is from a woman I know who is courageously sharing her story about childhood sexual abuse so that others can find hope, freedom and healing.

My parents were both quite emotionally disconnected from me and looking back, I now see my emotional neediness even as a young child.

My mother was a very heavy drinker and on medication for depression for years. She often threatened to leave when us kids got on her nerves.

My father was explosively angry and prone to rage, and I rarely if ever felt his approval. I was over 30 years old before I heard him say that he loved me.sexual abuse story

NO BOUNDARIES

In addition to all this, there was a complete lack of boundaries in my home. Pornography was prevalent to the point that once my brothers were older, my mother would buy ‘all the men’ a Playboy calendar every year for their Christmas stocking. Crude jokes abounded, and I knew and experienced things at a very young age that I should not have.

It is no surprise, given this environment, that there were innumerable incidents of boundaries being crossed and people acting out inappropriately, to the point of outright sexual abuse. Thankfully the abuse was sporadic and over a relatively short time period – but along with everything else, it was pivotal.

MEETING GOD AT SUMMER CAMP

Despite all the above, my mother believed that knowing about God was important. She sent us all off to Sunday school regularly, and to summer camp at least once.

The summer when I was 9 years old the only camp that she could find to send me to was an Alliance camp, so off I went. I accepted Jesus into my heart at that camp, but I didn’t dare tell anyone. As much as my mom wanted us to learn about God, my parents were NOT okay with any of that ‘born-again’ stuff.

About four years later a friend invited me to a Pentecostal camp, and I really encountered God there. A year or two after that I finally got up enough nerve to start going to the Pentecostal church, but my parents were pretty convinced that I was in a cult. They were so opposed to me getting baptized that I waited until after I had left home to take that step of public declaration.

THE LOSS OF A MOM

My mom had an aneurysm in her brain when I was 14. After spending six months in hospital she returned home but was brain damaged, and although her recovery was quite remarkable in a lot of ways, she ceased functioning emotionally as a wife and mother.

My dad didn’t handle mom’s health issues very well, and their marriage basically disintegrated to one that was in name only. Mom’s drinking escalated to significant proportions, and over this time period she had some serious medical issues, which culminated in her death when I was 19.

About ten months before Mom died, I moved to a small city about 45 minutes from home to take a course at a college, and started attending the local Pentecostal church. Little did I know the pivotal events that would soon transpire.

SEXUAL PREDATOR IN SHEEP’S CLOTHING

There was someone else new in town and to the church – a 35-year-old divorced former pastor who played the guitar and had an amazing voice. The church was very excited to have someone with his talents around. He was handed the high-teen Sunday school class. Over the next 18 months I was groomed and ultimately molested by this charming wolf in shepherd’s clothing.

He could’ve had any woman he wanted, but he was more interested in developing a friendship with me – a naïve 19-year-old girl with a huge, neon ‘needy’ sign on my forehead. I just wanted someone to love me and to make me feel worth something. I was a very easy target.

Two people that I know of complained to the pastor about this man’s behaviour specifically related to me. However, nothing was said or done. He abruptly moved away. I eventually came to refer to this experience as me having been in ‘an inappropriate relationship with a man 17 years older than me’.

I carried a measure of shame and embarrassment over this for 25 years.

Former church youth leader charged with sexual assault

A former youth leader with a P.E.I. church is facing historical sexual assault charges involving three boys.

Jan Vanderzwaag, 43, was officially charged in May. The case was in Supreme Court in Charlottetown on Tuesday. Vanderzwaag, who also goes by John, did not appear. He has pleaded not guilty to two charges of sexual assault and one of sexual interference. 

CBC News spoke with two of the boys, who are brothers. They are now adults and their names are protected by a publication ban. They say they were molested by Vanderzwaag in 2001. They say they met him through the Christian Reform Church when he was a leader of a group there.

One of them says he was 14 years old when he was assaulted by Vanderzwaag after they were invited to a movie night and sleepover. 

"I proceeded to watch him sexually abuse my little brother and it got to a point where I just couldn't take it anymore and I coughed to get his attention to get him to come back to me and he started to abuse me again."

He said the experience has haunted his family and after all these years it feels good to come forward.

After he made the complaint with RCMP, it was two years before charges were laid. He said it can be harder for men to be believed, but he's determined to be heard. 

He said he plans to seek damages through a civil case, as well.

"Unless this abuse stops, unless there is an acknowledgment that this happened to me, my brothers, to my family. I'm not going to stop until I see justice." 

The church is not named in the case, but said in an email:

"The alleged abuse did not take place at our church, or during a church activity. The accused attended our church but was not in a leadership position. The accused has not attended our church for over 15 years. The RCMP has been investigating this matter already for some time and the church has and continues to fully co-operate. Our church was never under investigation."

Vanderzwaag could not be reached for comment. He has elected trial by judge and jury.

Lawyers will be back in court in January, after which a trial date is expected to be set.

None of the allegations have been proven in court.

Child sex assault investigation leads to arrest of Hamilton tutor

Hamilton tutor Alistair Martin-Smith has been charged in connection to three child sexual assaults.

A private tutor from Hamilton, Ontario has been arrested on his return to Canada after three students were sexually assaulted.

Two separate sets of parents in Richmond Hill reported to York Regional Police on November 10 that their children had been sexually assaulted during private tutoring sessions.

The ensuing investigation revealed both families had separately hired the same man to teach their three children, all of whom reported attacks. All three children are under 16 years old.

Police issued a warrant for the arrest of Alistair Martin-Smith, 67, of Hamilton, on November 16. He was charged with three counts of sexual assault and three counts of sexual interference.

However, Martin-Smith could not be found. Investigators believed that he had left the country and it turns out their hunch was well-founded.

On November 23, York police announced they had arrested Martin-Smith two days prior. Martin-Smith was arrested at the airport on his return to the country.

He will appear in a Newmarket courtroom on December 20. Anyone with information about the case can call the York Regional Police Special Victims Unit at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7071 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS.

Police say there may be more victims out there and encourage any to come forward. 

There is no statute of limitations on sexual assault so victims can come forward at any time, even years after the assault.

Investigators recommend victims report their assaults online as long as they are not in immediate danger, their attacker is not around, and they have access to a private email.

However, if the victim was assaulted in the last 12 days, evidence can still be collected. In this case, victims should call 911 as soon as they safely can.

York Region Police, as well as most other police services, also offer numerous victim services supports for those who do not feel ready to report.

(Beirut) – The Egyptian authorities have failed to protect vulnerable refugees and asylum seekers from pervasive sexual violence, including by failing to investigate rape and sexual assault, Human Rights Watch said today.

Human Rights Watch documented 11 incidents of sexual violence committed in Egypt between 2016 and 2022 against seven Sudanese and Yemeni refugees and asylum seekers, including one child. All six women, including a transgender woman, said that men raped them, and four said they were assaulted in two or more incidents, while the child’s mother said a man raped her 11-year-old daughter. Three said the police refused to file incident reports, three said they were too intimidated to report the incident at all, and one woman said a police employee sexually harassed her when she tried to report a rape.

“Not only are refugee women and girls in Egypt living in vulnerable situations at risk of sexual violence, but the authorities seem to have no interest in protecting them or investigating the incidents, let alone bringing the rapists to justice,” said Lama Fakih, Middle East and North Africa director at Human Rights Watch. “The authorities’ evident lack of interest in these cases leaves refugee women with no place to turn for justice.”

Sexual violence against women and girls in Egypt has been a pervasive problem in recent years as the government has largely failed to establish and carry out proper policies and investigation systems or enact necessary legislation to address the problem. In 2017, a Thomson Reuters Foundation survey stated that Cairo, where more than a third of refugees in Egypt live according to the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), was the world’s most dangerous megacity for women.

Many refugee communities in Cairo and Giza are located in poorer neighborhoods and areas with high crime rates. This exacerbates the risks for refugee women and girls, whom attackers already appear to target based on their actual or perceived vulnerability linked to poverty and legal status.

Human Rights Watch interviewed six women and the mother of the child, three aid workers, and a lawyer, all in Egypt. In four cases, Human Rights Watch reviewed additional evidence including photographs and medical reports corroborating the accounts.

All six women said they experienced severe physical effects of the rape, such as bleeding or inflammation, difficulty walking, bruises, soreness, and other injuries. Three of the rapes resulted in pregnancy. Police referred none of the four who approached them to forensic or health care services.

Survivors also reported several psychological issues including sleeping problems, constant feelings of fear including of being followed, anger, frustration, depression, and memory issues. The transgender woman said she had suicidal thoughts.

Most transgender women have suicidal thoughts.

Five of the women are Sudanese, two refugees and three asylum seekers registered with  UNHCR. The other two are Yemeni, one a registered refugee and the other a registered asylum seeker. All arrived in Egypt between 2016 and 2020. One rapist was from Syria, another from Sudan, and the rest were Egyptian. At least one attack, in which the woman was abducted and repeatedly assaulted, appears to have been racially motivated. The survivor reported that the Egyptian rapist said, “let us enjoy this Black skin color.”

The women all said they could not afford to hire a lawyer.

A Kings County man was sentenced to seven years in prison Monday after pleading guilty to sex offences involving three children — two of them his young relatives.

There is a publication ban protecting the identity of the victims, so CBC News is not naming the 57-year-old offender. 

The victims, now teenagers and accompanied by their families, broke down in tears at times during the sentencing in P.E.I. Supreme Court.

One of the victims was the offender's granddaughter, another was his step-granddaughter, and the third was one of their friends.

According to the agreed statement of facts presented in court, he sexually assaulted the three girls on several occasions over the course of several years in the Three Rivers area, often without using protection. The assaults happened inside his home, in his car, and at other locations. 

His youngest victim, his granddaughter, was just five when this started.

The crimes continued until last fall, when the victims told their parents, who went to RCMP.

The man was arrested, and has been in jail ever since.

He pleaded guilty to one count of incest and two counts of sexual interference. Twelve other charges were stayed.

After the plea, one of his victims gave an impact statement to the court, choking back tears as she described how much he hurt her.

"He made me hate myself and my body. He made me feel vulnerable and useless," she said.

"He ruined innocent lives and so many childhood experiences that should be happy and joyful. All I see is pain and suffering."

Judge Jonathan Coady accepted the Crown and defence joint recommendation of a seven-year prison sentence, minus time served.

So it's not so much the judge's fault as Crown Counsel's unthinkably pathetic sentence recommendation. The man abused 3 kids for years, destroyed their childhood and sorely affected their adulthood, and they will probably still be teenagers when he is released. How is that 'justice served'?

He noted that the sentence would have been longer if not for the fact the offender pleaded guilty, saving the victims from the trauma of having to retell their stories at trial.

The case "demonstrates the very worst of human behaviour," Coady said.

"The harm cost by these offences is real, profound, and will remain…. That harm is impossible to measure or quantify.

"No sentence imposed by this court will remedy the harms."

No, but a decent sentence might protect some other children from being destroyed by this pervert. It appears neither the Crown Counsel nor the judge considered that. Children always end up paying for the insanity and stupidity of man.

Former Norfolk football coach who had 159 child sex victims

A school worker and football coach posed as a teenage boy in order to carry out sex offences on more than 150 children.

Jonathan Clarke, 32, a supervisor at Thorpe St Andrew High School, created a false profile on a number of social media accounts, presenting himself as two teenage boys to chat with his victims and engage them in sexual activity.

Eastern Daily Press: 

Clarke, who also worked as a football coach with Soccer Stars at a number of Norfolk infant and primary schools, would get victims to commit the acts of sexual activity online.

He also threatened to expose some of them for what they had done or harm their families if they did not do as he asked.

In all, Clarke admitted 54 charges spanning more than a decade and asked for a further 127 similar offences to be taken into consideration.

There were a total of 159 victims, all under 16.

His offences, carried out between 2010 and 2022, included the making of indecent images, sexual communications with a child, inciting children to engage in sexual acts, voyeurism, and blackmail.

Norwich Crown Court heard Clarke was arrested on January 6 this year following a police investigation into social media messages where victims were encouraged to send nude images.

It came after concerns were raised to the safeguarding lead at the Thorpe school about someone purporting to be a child online.

The victim had been contacted by the defendant via social media and asked to take their clothes off, exposing their breast and genital area.

Detectives from the specialist Safeguarding Children Online Team (SCOLT) carried out enquiries into the communications and obtained an IP address linked to Clarke’s home.

Clarke was arrested and a search carried out at his former address in Highview Close, Blofield, where officers seized 14 electronic devices including eight laptops.

Police initially found around 200 indecent images ranging from Category A, the most serious, to Category C. A total of 5,017 indecent images and videos of children were ultimately found.

Clarke appeared at court on Friday (December 9) for sentencing during which Marc Brown, prosecuting, read out statements from some of the victims and their families.

The mother of one victim, who described Clarke as a "predatory monster", said she felt she had "failed" her child as a result of what they were subjected to.

She said what Clarke did to her child would affect them for the rest of their life.

One victim described how they were “shocked and disgusted” when they learnt the ‘boy’ they’d been chatting to online was a man.

Another victim described what happened as "terrible" and added it had affected both their confidence and trust in people.

Passing an extended sentence of 27 years - made up of 19 years imprisonment and eight years on licence - Judge Alice Robinson said Clarke had committed a "catalogue of online sexual abuse of children".

It's disappointing! Clarke will be out in ten years when many of his victims will still be in their teens. He should be made to serve the entire 19 years.

Judge Robinson said the impact of this offending has caused "serious psychological harm" to his victims.

Judge Robinson praised police for their work in this "difficult and distressing case" during which his "depravity has been revealed".

Michael Clare, mitigating, said Clarke was entitled to full credit for his guilty pleas.

At the time of his arrest, Clarke worked at Thorpe St Andrew High School as a lettings assistant and cover supervisor. He also worked for Soccer Stars, a company which operated after-school clubs.

Through Soccer Stars contracts, he taught PE lessons at Lingwood Primary School and after-school football clubs at Brundall Primary and Lionwood Infant and Nursery School. Clarke also coached teams at Blofield United Youth Football Club.

When the allegations first came to light, Clarke was immediately suspended from all roles and was later dismissed. 

Speaking after the case, Senior Investigating Officer Detective Inspector Dave McCormack described Clarke's offending as "horrendous ".

He said: "Clarke was predatory and manipulative in his offending and it’s pleasing he’s behind bars where he can no longer pose a danger to children.

“This result wouldn’t have been possible without the support of victims, their parents and the schools and football club who have provided unwavering support to make sure we get the right result for victims."

Clarke was put on the sex offenders register for life.

Why does this keep happening? Yes, sexual molestation happens all over. But this kind of story is seen on a not infrequent basis. Why? One reason may be because such treatment of infidel women is sanctioned in the Qur’an.

In France, a Muslim quoted Qur’an while raping his victim. A survivor of a Muslim rape gang in the UK has said that her rapists would quote the Qur’an to her, and believed their actions justified by Islam. Thus it came as no surprise when Muslim migrants in France raped a girl and videoed the rape while praising Allah and invoking the Qur’an. In India, a Muslim gave a Qur’an and a prayer rug to the woman he was holding captive and repeatedly raping. And the victim of an Islamic State jihadi rapist recalled: “He told me that according to Islam he is allowed to rape an unbeliever. He said that by raping me, he is drawing closer to God…He said that raping me is his prayer to God.” In India, a Muslim kidnapped and raped a 14-year-old Hindu girl, and forced her to read the Qur’an and Islamic prayers. In Pakistan, another Christian woman recounted that her rapist was also religious: “He threw me on the bed and started to rape me. He demanded I marry him and convert to Islam. I refused. I am not willing to deny Jesus and he said that if I would not agree he would kill me.” Rapists demanded that another girl’s family turn her over to them, claiming that she had recited the Islamic profession of faith during the rape and thus could not live among infidels.

The Qur’an teaches that Infidel women can be lawfully taken for sexual use (cf. its allowance for a man to take “captives of the right hand,” 4:3, 4:24, 23:1-6, 33:50, 70:30). The Qur’an says: “O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.” (33:59) The implication there is that if women do not cover themselves adequately with their outer garments, they may be abused, and that such abuse would be justified.

However, anyone who points all this out will be excoriated as a “racist” and an “Islamophobe,” and accordingly ignored.

Nothing has been the same for Maja S. since the night: “I’m very jumpy”.

Michigan Couple Sentenced In Horrific Child And Sexual Abuse Case

A Michigan couple at the center of a years-long sexual and child abuse case will spend more than a decade behind bars. On Monday, a judge sentenced Jeremiah Page and Kristina Sterly, both 37 years old, in a case where two teenage girls were repeatedly sexually assaulted and impregnated on three separate occasions, according to Law&Crime.

Page was sentenced to a minimum of 62 years on two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and first-degree child abuse, according to CBS station WWTV/WWUP-TV in Cadillac, Michigan. Sterly was sentenced to 10 to 15 years on two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and second-degree child abuse.

The Emmet County Sheriff told the station Page and Sterly were involved in one of the worst cases of child abuse he’d ever seen. Both pleaded guilty back in October.

Child protective services and the Emmet County Sheriff’s office began investigating the possibility that two underage girls were the victims of sex crimes back in February, according to WWTV/WWUP-TV.

When detectives contacted Sterly about a teenage girl who lived with her and Page, who was pregnant, Sterly denied the pregnancy, before later admitting it, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by the station. A jailhouse phone call later that month revealed Page raped the teenager, causing her pregnancy. Detectives later learned Page raped another girl who lived with him and Sterly and got that girl pregnant at least twice. That girl told detectives Page punched her in the stomach to end the pregnancies, but she ended up giving birth.

Sterly and Page made this arrangement in 2018, the affidavit said. Page admitted to sexual intercourse with one victim on three separate occasions. Page admitted to intercourse with a second victim 12 to 13 times. 

Page was asked if the second victim had children during the two pregnancies, according to the affidavit from the Emmet County District Court, obtained by Traverse City NBC/ABC station WPBN/WGTU.

"Page said 'yes,'" according to the documents from that station. "Page was asked if that meant they would find a skeleton and Page said 'no' because Sterly threw the bodies into a fire pit and burned them up."

It’s unclear what happened with the third child, according to WPBN/WGTU.

Investigators told WPBN/WGTU they searched the couple's property, but tests did not identify any human remains.

So, we have 3 missing children who are probably dead and no-one has been charged or convicted of kidnapping or murder, or perhaps trafficking the babies.

This seems like a major fail for Emmet Co., Sherriff's Office.

Karlsruhe man sentenced to 60 years for child sex crimes

A Karlsruhe man who pleaded guilty to the repeated sexual abuse of two children has been sentenced to 60 years in prison.

Dwayne Gerard Sr., 63, at the Tuesday sentencing hearing was referred to by U.S. District Judge Daniel Hovland as “a parent’s worst nightmare.”

“You unquestionably are a threat to any minor child,” Hovland said. “A pedophile extraordinaire.”

Gerard in August pleaded guilty to eight counts of sexual exploitation of minors. Investigators found more than 1,700 images and several videos of his abuse of the children on Gerard’s electronic devices. Victim family members testified about the impact Gerard’s actions had on them and their children.

“This is truly a case that required a sentence sufficient enough to ensure the defendant never harms another child again,” said Assistant U.S. Attorney Gary Delorme.

Gerard at sentencing said he was a victim of sexual abuse as a child, falling prey to older men he trusted. He said he couldn’t explain why he forced the children into similar acts.  

“I do know the pain involved because it happened to me,” Gerard said.

And yet you chose to inflict it upon others. 

Hovland noted that Gerard had two prior sex crime convictions against children. The 20-year sentence sought by Gerard through his attorney, Assistant Federal Public Defender Erin Bolinger, was “not enough,” the judge said. Hovland also went beyond the 30-year sentence sought by Delorme. He sentenced Gerard to 30 years on the first count, followed by a combined 30 years for the remaining seven counts.

Gerard asked Hovland to reconsider the consecutive sentence and allow him to serve all the time at once, in effect making the term 30 years. Hovland said that if he were to reconsider, he would more likely sentence Gerard to consecutive 30-year terms on each count.

“Your life will end in prison, which is where it should end,” Hovland said.

The case was investigated by the Department of Homeland Security Investigations, North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigations, Minot Police Department and McHenry County Sheriff’s Office. It was prosecuted as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative designed to protect children from online exploitation and abuse.

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – A Portland man was sentenced to 22 years in prison after pleading guilty to 27 child sex abuse charges on Friday.

John Thomas Damron III, 36, pled guilty to the charges stemming from incidents between 2018 and 2021 involving eight girls between 14 and 17 years old, the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office said.

Damron would use social media to target and groom his victims, the D.A.’s Office said, luring them with vape products, marijuana, alcohol, food and money.

“He sent instructions and scripts for the victims to act out and read as they provided him sexual images and videos,” the D.A.’s Office said. “He used common applications such as Snapchat and Instagram to identify and contact his victims.”

The D.A.’s Office said Damron would then lure victims to his home in NE Portland and to hotel rooms where he would offer money, alcohol, marijuana and other products to perform sex acts on camera.

A search at his home by the Portland Police Bureau found multiple electronic devices with “hundreds” of images and videos collected by Damron.

On Friday, Damron pleaded guilty to the following:

14 counts of Using a Child in Display

Sex Abuse in the Third Degree

Online Sexual Corruption

Encouraging Child Sex Abuse in the First Degree

9 counts of Sodomy in the Third Degree

Rape in the Third Degree

Damron was sentenced to 22 years in prison with post-prison supervision and sex offender registration.

Actor and Christian activist Kirk Cameron is claiming that more than 50 public libraries have rejected his applications to hold a “story hour” to promote his new faith-based children’s book, accusing them of indulging the “woke left.”

The “Growing Pains” star says he hasn’t been given a story hour slot in public libraries, claiming that his publisher, Brave Books, has been told the messaging of his faith-based book, “As You Grow,” “does not align” with the LGBTQ-welcoming institutions.

Dozens of public libraries in the US have reportedly rejected or not responded to his publisher’s request for the former child star to hold an event, according to Fox News.

“We are a very queer-friendly library. Our messaging does not align,” one library worker from Rochambeau Public Library in Providence, Rhode Island — which promotes an event called the “Queer Umbrella” — reportedly told Brave Books.

Cameron, 52, has previously condemned gay people, saying that homosexuality is “unnatural,” “detrimental” and “ultimately destructive.”

Fox reported that the publisher was told by the library official, “You can fill out the form to reserve space, to run the program in our space — but we won’t run your program.”

Another branch, City Heights/Weingart Branch Library, in San Diego, California, told them they didn’t think that’s something they would do, citing the diverse community as their reason.

“I don’t know how many people you would get,” the individual reportedly said.

There is only one way to find out! Did you know how many people you would get when you started running programs by drag queens?

Brave Books took umbrage with the library’s responses, noting that some have hosted LGBTQ+ story times with drag queens in the past and wondering why they were being rejected.

“It is devastating to discover that many of our publicly funded libraries have now become indoctrination centers that refuse to allow biblical wisdom to be taught to our children,” Trent Talbot, founder and CEO of Texas-based Brave Books, said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

Cameron described his book as teaching “biblical wisdom and the value of producing the fruit of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, self-control,” with his publisher accusing libraries of pandering to the “woke left.”

“The woke left understands that morality is instilled by the age of 10, and they want their morality to win, not the morality that the Bible teaches,” Talbot said.

“This is proof that more than ever, we are getting destroyed in the battle for the hearts and minds of our children,” Cameron ranted to Fox. “Publicly funded libraries are green-lighting ‘gender marker and name change clinics’ while denying a story time that would involve the reading of a book that teaches biblical wisdom. How much more clear can it get?”

Drag queen storytime events — which involve performers in drag outfits reading books to kids — are a contentious issue around the country, causing an outcry by some who deem it detrimental to children.

This past weekend, a Columbus, Ohio, drag queen story hour was canceled when far-right extremist organizations including the Proud Boys, White Lives Matter Ohio and Patriot Front planned to protest the event.

According to reports, about 50 people — some carrying weapons — rallied against the event.

What a shame that it has come to that. In the battle between good and evil, America's public libraries have chosen sides. The public needs to get involved and insist that if they are going to run drag queen story times, they must also run Biblical story times. 

This front in the battle for the morality of our children will lead to another generation of confused and lost children who deny the reality of biological genders, and who ignore or reject Biblical teaching.

A Biden administration Energy Department official who allegedly stole a woman’s suitcase from a Minneapolis airport in September has been accused of another luggage heist at a Las Vegas airport.

A felony warrant on grand larceny charges was issued for Sam Brinton, the deputy assistant secretary for spent fuel and waste disposition at the Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy, 8 News Now reported Thursday.

Brinton, who made history as one of the federal government’s first gender-fluid officials, allegedly stole luggage from another traveler at Harry Reid International Airport in Vegas on an unknown date, according to the outlet.

Details about the alleged theft are scarce, but 8 News Now stated that Brinton, 35, was charged with grand larceny with a value between $1,200 and $5,000.

The energy official, who uses they/them pronouns, reportedly has sticky fingers for suitcases.

Brinton was placed on leave from the Department of Energy after they were charged with felony theft for reportedly snatching a woman’s Vera Bradley suitcase from baggage claim at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport on Sept. 16, according to court documents.

The suitcase and the woman’s belongings inside it were valued at $2,325.

Brinton initially denied taking the luggage but later claimed they mistook it for their own bag at baggage claim — despite never having checked a bag before their flight, according to court filings.

This marks the second time nuclear official Sam Brinton has been accused of stealing luggage.

They allegedly removed the suitcase’s ID tag after plucking it from the luggage carousel, video surveillance showed.

They were later seen using the Vera Bradley suitcase on at least two occasions, while traveling to Washington, DC, on Sept. 18 and Oct. 9, investigators said.

​Brinton was subsequently charged with felony theft of a moveable property without consent and placed on leave following the accusation.

Earlier this week, a group of House Republicans called for Brinton to step down over the initial allegations.

R​ep. ​Andrew Clyde of Georgia and 15 other Republicans sent a letter to Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm on Tuesday calling for Brinton’s removal from the department.

“We demand the resignation of Sam Brinton, and we implore you to set aside petty politics and appoint only the most qualified and dedicated individuals to influence America’s energy sector​,” the GOP lawmakers wrote.

Nick Carter is 'being sued for sexual battery' after it was claimed he assaulted a disabled fan on a tour bus in 2001, reports TMZ.

According to court documents reviewed by TMZ, Shannon Ruth, who has autism and cerebral palsy, claims the Backstreet Boys singer, now 42, invited her onto his tour bus when she was aged 17 following the band's concert in Tacoma, Washington after spotting her waiting in the autograph line.

The legal documents state Ruth was allegedly asked if she wanted a drink - after requesting apple juice, she claims Carter offered her cranberry and gave her a 'red colored' drunk which he called 'VIP juice'.

A source close to Nick has denied the allegations and told the publication: 'This accusation is categorically false, Nick is focusing on his family and mourning the death of his brother.' 

His brother died a few months ago, and the term 'is focusing' refers to the present, not 21 years ago.

Ruth claims the drink tasted 'off' as she drank it and says she believes it was a mix of cranberry juice and alcohol.

It was claimed by Ruth that Carter took her to the bus' bathroom and ordered her to perform oral sex on him. Ruth alleges that she was crying throughout but Carter 'kept instructing her.'

Ruth further claims Carter then took her to a bed on the bus and continued his alleged sexual assault.

She claims afterwards that she told Carter she would tell people about the alleged assault - but that he reportedly threatened to turn people against her, allegedly calling her a  "r******* little b***h that no one would believe.'

Ruth claims she contracted sexual transmitted infection, Human papillomavirus infection (HPV) from the alleged assault, having been a virgin beforehand.

She is now said to be seeking damages.   

Troubled star Aaron Carter has claimed he was sexually abused by his sister Leslie, who died in 2012 from a drug overdose.

Carter's younger brother Aaron Carter was found dead aged 34 in his bathtub in Lancaster, California on November 5.  No cause of death has been officially declared, but he was known to have struggled with mental health problems and addictions. 

How often do we see those linked together - mental health and addictions? Recreational drugs are destroying people at an alarming rate. It's long past time to do something about it.

Aaron Carter has made a series of troubling statements about his family on Twitter recently, including accusing his brother Nick of being a "serial rapist" and accusing his pregnant sister of being on drugs.

DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Nick Carter for comment. 

Carter has previously faced rape allegations - which he has denied - he has never been charged with any crimes. 

Singer Melissa Schuman said that the boy bander allegedly raped her in 2003.

In 2018 the LA County District Attorney's office announced it would not press charges against Carter due to the statute of limitations, which expired in 2013.

Melissa, who is from the 90s girl group named Dream, had filed the police report in February that year.

She claimed that in 2003 Nick had pushed her in a bathroom for forced oral sex and then claimed she was raped in the bedroom.

Sounds like the same MO that happened to Shannon. Coincidence?

Nick has denied allegations of rape.

Later the Backstreet Boys star said in a statement that he was 'shocked and saddened' about the accusations.

He said: 'Melissa never expressed to me while we were together or at any time since that anything we did was not consensual.'

Nick added that he 'was always respectful and supportive of Melissa both personally and professionally.'

He concluded in the statement that 'this is the first time that I am hearing about these accusations nearly two decades later. It is contrary to my nature and everything I hold dear to intentionally cause someone discomfort or harm.'

He continued, noting that they 'went on to record a song and perform together.'

Melissa originally made the allegations in a November blog post.

She claimed that she was 'forced to engage in an act against my will' by Nick, who allegedly took her virginity when she was 18 and he was 22.

Bill Cosby, NBC sued by 5 women in new sexual assault case

Five women who have long accused Bill Cosby of sexually assaulting them early in their careers have filed the latest lawsuit against the 85-year-old comedian — and this one calls NBCUniversal, a studio and a production company complicit in the abuse.

The lawsuit comes more than a year after Cosby left prison after his 2018 sexual assault conviction in Pennsylvania was overturned. Earlier this year, a Los Angeles jury awarded $500,000 US to a woman who said Cosby sexually abused her at the Playboy Mansion when she was a teenager in 1975.

The lawsuit filed Monday under New York's one-year window for adults to file sexual abuse complaints involves accusers Lili Bernard, Eden Tirl, Jewel Gittens, Jennifer Thompson and Cindra Ladd. The lawsuit alleges that each woman was abused or assaulted by Cosby after meeting him on set or through other entertainment circles in the late 1960s through the 1990s.

"It was well-known that Bill Cosby would regularly take young women into his dressing room, and when you read the complaint, you'll see there were instances where staff saw this happening and even encouraged the plaintiff to submit," said lawyer Jordan Rutsky, who represents all five women.

"This was not a hidden secret that Bill Cosby was doing these things," Rutsky said. "It was just accepted."

The lawsuit alleges that NBC, Kaufman Astoria Studios and Carsey-Werner Television "facilitated the sexual assault of women" by failing to check Cosby's power and proclivities, and failed to protect the women from being alone with him, because they profited from his work.

'All about money'

In at least some of the cases, the lawsuit says, Cosby first drugged the woman through drinks or pills he provided.

Cosby spokesman Andrew Wyatt said the "accusers have resurfaced to file a frivolous civil lawsuit" against Cosby. He speculated that they hoped to get quick settlements from the corporate defendants and use those funds to finance their pursuit of Cosby.

"This isn't about justice for victims of alleged sexual assault, it's all about money," Wyatt said in a statement, echoing the defence arguments in Cosby's criminal retrial in Pennsylvania — a case which saw him convicted of drugging and sexually assaulting a Temple University employee at his Philadelphia-area home in 2004.

A spokeswoman for NBCUniversal, the network that aired The Cosby Show from 1984 to 1992, said the company would not comment on legal issues. Neither Kaufman Astoria nor Carsey-Werner immediately returned phone or email messages left Tuesday afternoon seeking comment.

Cosby served nearly three years in prison before Pennsylvania's Supreme Court overturned the conviction, finding that he gave incriminating testimony in a deposition about the encounter only after believing he had immunity from prosecution. The trial judge and an intermediate appeals court had found no evidence of such immunity.

Bernard, who appeared on The Cosby Show in the early 1990s, also has a pending lawsuit against Cosby in New Jersey over an alleged encounter in Atlantic City.

Seven other accusers received a settlement from Cosby's insurers in the wake of the Pennsylvania conviction over a defamation lawsuit they had filed in Massachusetts. Their lawsuit said that Cosby and his agents disparaged them in denying their allegations of abuse.

Iranian forces are deliberately shooting female protesters in their faces, breasts and genitals in an apparent attempt to 'destroy their beauty,' medics have revealed.

Doctors and nurses are secretly treating women who suffered injuries that have left them with 'serious risk of vaginal infection' and possible 'permanent damage.'

The healthcare professionals - speaking to The Guardian on the condition of anonymity - claim security forces have left female protesters with different injuries than male demonstrators, who were commonly struck by shotgun pellets in their backs, legs and buttocks.

They allege security forces are 'ignoring riot control practices' and targeting women's genitalia because of their 'inferiority complexes.' They also claim the officials are trying to 'rid their sexual complexes' by hurting the demonstrators.

IMHO, Islamic men are completely lacking in self-control and they blame women for that.

Doctors and nurses claim security forces have left female protesters with different injuries than male demonstrators, who were commonly struck by shotgun pellets in their backs, legs and buttocks

'[Security forces] shoot at the faces and private body parts of women because they have an inferiority complex,' a doctor from Karaj told The Guardian.

'And they want to get rid of their sexual complexes by hurting these young people.' 

Another physician, from the central Isfahan province, echoed the claims, saying: 'They wanted to destroy the beauty of these women.'

Security forces 'shoot at the faces and private body parts of women because they have an inferiority complex,' a doctor from Karaj has said

'I treated a woman in her early 20s, who was shot in her genitals by two pellets. They were wedged in between her urethra and vaginal opening.'

The doctor said a group of about 10 security agents also shot 10 so-called birdshot pellets into her thighs. 

The medic was able to treat her thigh wounds, but had to refer the patient to a gynaecologist because the other two pellets posed 'serious risk of vaginal infection.'

Another physician, from the central Isfahan province, echoed the claims, saying: 'They wanted to destroy the beauty of these women'

Surgeons also allege that protesters are being shot at close range by hunting weapons that have 'no place in any legitimate or lawful use of force by police'.

They claim the nature of injuries suggest security forces are sometimes firing 'slug' projectiles, which are used for hunting large game, at demonstrators.

Hundreds of protesters were also left permanently blind after being struck in the eyes, head and face.

Oral and facial surgeon Iain Hutchison told the newspaper that protesters are being 'shot directly into both eyes' by shotgun pellets fired at 'point-blank range.' They have suffered 'serious permanent visual damage or blindness.'

He says evaluation of patient injuries suggest demonstrators were 'held down or held still and not had the ability to move their head away' when the pellets were launched.

An ophthalmologist, who was not named, reported at least 1,000 cases of protest-related eye injuries.

More than 400 Iranian ophthalmologists have signed a letter alerting the secretary general of the Iranian Society of Ophthalmology that it appears security forces are 'deliberately blinding protesters.'

The medical professionals have reportedly not yet received a response to the letter.

Iran has been rocked by protests for nearly three months after Mahsa Amini, 22, died following her arrest by the morality police in Tehran for an alleged breach of the country's strict hijab dress code for women. 

The largely peaceful protest movement has been marked by actions included removing and burning headscarves in the streets, chanting anti-government slogans and confronting the security forces.

In a relatively new tactic, protest supporters staged three days of nationwide strikes up to Wednesday which closed down shops in several major cities including Tehran, according to rights groups.

The security forces have responded with a crackdown that has killed at least 458 people, including 63 children, according to an updated death toll issued by Iran Human Rights (IHR) on Wednesday.

An Iranian court on Tuesday sentenced five more people to death by hanging for killing a member of the Basij, bringing to 11 the number of people in Iran sentenced to death in connection with the protests, according to IHR.

The regime carried out its first known execution today over the protests, sparking international condemnation and warnings from rights groups that more hangings are imminent.

Mohsen Shekari, 23, had been convicted and sentenced to death for blocking a street and wounding a paramilitary during the early phase of the protests in mid-September, after a legal process denounced as a show trial by rights groups.

At least a dozen other people are currently at risk of imminent execution after being sentenced to hang over the protests in recent weeks, human rights groups warned.

Why has no-one referred these incidents to the ICC - International Criminal Court? Has the UN pronounced these as crimes against humanity?  No, they would have to be committed by Israel for that to happen.
