Alabama Man Found Guilty in Child Sex Abuse Trial
LEE COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - On Wednesday, a Lee County jury reached a verdict in a child sex abuse trial, a case investigators called one of the most disturbing cases they've ever seen.
Mark Poole, of Smiths Station, AL, was found guilty on all charges, including first degree sodomy and sex abuse of two victims under the age of 12.
The victims, who are now 15 and 20 years old, both testified in graphic detail how Poole sexually abused them for several years, starting at 5 years old.
Poole called the victims liars when he testified.
He will be sentenced on May 20.
