Stories on 2 Politicians, A Muslim, A Missionary, & Jane Fonda - Today's P&P List

Old Muslim wanted sex with 7 y/o 'prostitute' - Florida
Jane Fonda admits she was raped, sexually abused as child - USA
Missionary to Haiti accused of numerous CSAs of children - Florida
Man facing several charges of sex abuse of 4 y/o - Mississippi
Son of legislative staffer charged with 17 counts CSA - Alaska

62-year-old Muslim tried to kidnap 7-year-old girl for sex - called her a prostitute
Note: dated story - DEC 30, 2015

A suburban West Palm Beach mother is sending a strong warning to all parents after she says a stranger tried to kidnap her young daughter from their yard.

“Keep an extra eye on them because it only takes a minute or two minutes,” said Lee Sam, the mother of the little girl.

Deputies arrested their neighbor 62-year-old Jamal Ahmed and charged him with kidnapping.

The young girl said Ahmed grabbed her by the wrist while she was playing in front of her home Sunday morning.  She told detectives she was able to break away and escape.

“I was angry. I was upset.” said Sam. “He had no business taking her out of her yard. No business at all. We didn’t know him.”

Investigators say they contacted Ahmed and while interviewing him saw a ski mask with holes cut out for the eyes and nose as well as a bag of condoms.

When asked why he had the ski mask his response was “it’s cold in St. Louis,” according to an arrest affidavit.

"He was also asked about the condoms and said they were for prostitutes," the affidavit states.

A deputy who interviewed Ahmed said he confessed to walking the child forcibly to his house against her will and stated numerous times that she is a prostitute and wanted sex.

He said he did not have sex with her.

How long has he been in America and he doesn't know that 7 y/o girls are not prostitutes? If she wanted sex why wouldn't she have gone with him willingly rather than fight to get away. Did he know he was in West Palm Beach, not St Louis? Children need to be protected from this predator.

Unfortunately, I can find nothing more recent on this case.

Jane Fonda reveals childhood sex abuse, rape

Speaking to fellow actress Brie Larson for online fashion retailer Net-a-Porter's magazine, The Edit, Fonda spoke about her involvement in the women's rights movement, explaining how her personal story was indicative of "a patriarchy" at work.

"To show you the extent to which a patriarchy takes a toll on females; I've been raped, I've been sexually abused as a child, and I've been fired because I wouldn't sleep with my boss," she said.

"I always thought it was my fault; that I didn't do or say the right thing."

Fonda, who is known as both an actress and fitness guru, has been a strong supporter of feminist causes, and women's sexual health, although she had admitted that was not always the case.

In her 2005 book, My Life So Far, Fonda revealed she once struggled with identifying as a feminist because she perceived the term to be "anti-male".

Writing for Lena Dunham's Lenny Letter last year, the actress said it took her "30 years" to get feminism.

"[But] it's OK to be a late bloomer, as long as you don't miss the flower show," she wrote.

Fonda is a founder of the US V-Day movement, a movement against gendered violence inspired by the play, The Vagina Monologues.

In 2001, she founded the Jane Fonda Centre for Adolescent Reproductive Health in Atlanta, Georgia. The centre focuses on adolescent reproductive health research.

Fonda told Larson she believed there was still misinformation out there, particularly for young women, regarding sex and consent.

"I know young girls who've been raped and didn't even know it was rape," she said. "They think, 'It must have been because I said 'no' the wrong way. One of the great things the women's movement has done is to make us realise that [rape and abuse is] not our fault. We were violated and it's not right."

Former US missionary in Haiti accused of
child sexual abuse
BY KATRINA BUTCHER AND AP WIRE,

MIAMI – U.S. authorities have charged an Arkansas man with sexually abusing children while working as a missionary in Haiti.

Daniel Pye became well-known among missionaries in Haiti as he helped coordinate relief efforts in Jacmel after the January 2010 earthquake.

Pye ran a missionary orphanage in Haiti.

He was jailed for about five months in Haiti in 2011 amid a dispute with members of his U.S.-based mission over property belonging to their home for children.

Following a two-year investigation, prosecutors in Miami have charged Pye with four counts of traveling from South Florida to Haiti to engage in sexual conduct with children.

According to the Miami Herald, prosecutors say Pye allegedly molested three of the girls under his care.

Four victims were listed, but the abuse was focused around a then 6-year-old victim.

According to the complaint obtained by the Miami Herald, “she said Pye had sexually abused her every day, whether his wife was home or not, beginning in 2008, when she was approximately six (6) years old, and ending … in 2011.”

A second victim who was 9-years-old at the time, told officials she saw Pye molest the first girl, as well as him having sex with another victim.

The other victim was reportedly 12 or 14 years old.

A judge in Arkansas set bond at $5,000, but prosecutors filed a motion Thursday to reverse the decision.

$5,000? Shouldn't it be ten or a hundred times that?

He remains in custody.

Man facing charges of multiple sex abuses of 4 y/o child
By: Tommy Lopez

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI-TV) – Lee County Sheriff’s Department officials said Thursday that a man is facing four felony counts of sexual child abuse.

39-year-old John Tallant is under arrest after an investigation found evidence of multiple sexual incidents with a four-year-old child. He’s facing one count of sexual battery and three counts of fondling of a child.

Sheriff’s Department officials expect other felony charges in the future.

“We are looking at not only additional charges that are similar to these but there are going to be some charges brought forth during the grand jury that [are] not sexual battery and not fondling,” Sheriff Jim Johnson said.

The case will go before a grand jury.

A judge set bond at $350,000 (now that's more like it) and stipulated that if he makes bond he cannot have contact with the victim or the victim’s mother and he must wear a tracking device.

Son of legislative staffer pleads not guilty to child sex abuse, child porn

Ty Alexander Grussendorf’s father had lobbied for changes
to sex crime provisions to eliminate his son's crimes
Michael Penn | Juneau Empire

A Juneau man facing 40 counts that include sexual abuse of a minor, possession of child pornography and viewing of indecent material pleaded not guilty in court Wednesday.

Ty Alexander Grussendorf previously faced seven counts involving the alleged sexual abuse of a minor — when he was 18 and she was younger than 13 — when he was initially charged in 2015. That case was dismissed in July because inadmissible hearsay evidence was introduced that could have influenced the decision to indict Grussendorf.

Grussendorf, who is now 22, then was re-indicted on Feb. 1 by a Juneau grand jury on the seven counts that he faced in 2015: six counts of sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree and one count of attempted sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree. He also was charged with three counts of sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree for a different victim, in the same age range as the first victim.

Grussendorf additionally faces five counts of possession of child pornography and 25 counts of felony indecent viewing of photography. All of those counts relate to actions that allegedly took place when Grussendorf was 18 and involve four other alleged victims.

Grussendorf appeared in Juneau Superior Court Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to all charges; his attorney, John Cashion, appeared telephonically.

Assistant District Attorney Amy Paige asked Judge Philip Pallenberg for a no-contact order for all the alleged victims, as well as no contact with any girls younger than 18 with the exception of immediate family.

Paige asked for a clarification of incidental contact and told Pallenberg she had received information that Grussendorf had been attending girls’ basketball games.

Pallenberg responded that it should be clear that going to sports activities organized for underage females was not incidental contact, adding that his order prohibits Grussendorf from attending such events.

A tentative trial date was set for Oct. 30, with a two-week estimate. Grussendorf is scheduled to be in court again on March 30.

Grussendorf was flanked by his parents during his court appearance; his father, a legislative staffer, was the focus of an investigation last fall for potentially unethical attempts to lobby for amendments to sex crime provisions in SB 91.

Tim Grussendorf, while an employee of Sen. Lyman Hoffman, D-Bethel, and the Senate Finance Committee, met with multiple legislators last year, according to a report by KTUU. Tim Grussendorf unsuccessfully lobbied to change the age of offenders from 16 or older to 19 or older, with the victim age being lowered to younger than 12 instead of 13.

Good grief! Trying to get his son off so he can go around and mess up some more young girls. How disgraceful!

By: 69 News

EASTON, Pa. - The trial of Phil Leone, the ex-Bangor councilman accused of sexual abuse of children, has begun according to a Northampton County court administrator.

Leone, 67, of Easton, is charged with three counts of sexual abuse of children as well as indecent assault, endangering the welfare of children, and corruption of minors.

The crimes, allegedly committed against a girl between three and 10 years old, occurred multiple times between 2008 and 2011.

Police said Leone also had multiple photographs of nude juveniles in his possession.

The crimes initially were reported to police in February 2014.

Armed with a search warrant, they seized computers and storage devices from the defendant's home.

Those were turned over to the Pennsylvania State Police Southeast Computer Crime Laboratory for analysis.

The trial continues.
