Disturbing Stories From All Over on Today's Global Pervs n Paedos List

Edmonton mothers handed 8-year sentences
for beating two little girls nearly to death

Two Edmonton mothers have both been given an eight-year prison sentence for physically abusing two little girls and confining them in a basement.

J.L., 26, and her one-time best friend, A.M., 25, entered guilty pleas last September to two counts of aggravated assault and one count of confinement.

The victims were J.L.'s two biological daughters, who were three and six years old when they were repeatedly beaten and confined in late 2017.

A publication ban on the women's names was ordered to protect the identity of the girls, who are now wards of the province and living in kinship care.

"This was not an assault that was a sudden burst of anger or a one-time offence. The beatings occurred over and over," Court of Queen's Bench Justice Gaylene Kendell said Thursday. "There is no question in my mind they were well aware they were injuring the children."

The judge described the ongoing abuse as "horrific". "As mothers, their goal and duty was to raise the children in a safe, secure and loving environment," Kendall noted. "Their actions were calculated and deliberate."

According to the agreed statement of facts, J.L. stopped sending her daughters to school or daycare on Nov. 1, 2017, because she was concerned staff would notice the children's injuries and report them.

For six weeks, the sisters were regularly locked up in the townhouse basement, deprived of food, water and a bathroom with only a mattress on the floor.

The girls mom beat them with this belt, at times forcing them to stand in a corner with their hands up and pants off. (Court exhibit)

The mothers admitted they often made the girls stand in the corner with their hands over their heads while they were struck with a belt. Sometimes the belt had a buckle. On occasion, the girls were forced to remove their pants before the beating.

Sometimes, the three-year-old girl was confined inside a large cardboard box with the lid taped shut and a rug placed on top.

"One could only imagine how frightened the girls were to be placed in that situation," Kendall said. "Dark, hot, thirsty, hungry, injured and in pain. Knowing that their mother and auntie were responsible."

Blood, feces and urine were found on the moving box where the youngest girl was sometimes confined.
(Court exhibit)

By the time the girls were rescued from their barricaded basement prison by a babysitter in December 2017, they were dehydrated, malnourished and injured.

The judge noted the only reason the abuse stopped was because they were caught.

In the original post on this story (2nd story on post) both girls had numerous broken bones while the 6 year old spent several days fighting for her life. I wonder how hard she fought.

Meanwhile, A.M.'s three young children were well cared for upstairs in the townhouse with plenty of food, toys and nicely decorated bedrooms.

"She knew that what she was doing was wrong," the judge said. "She did not inflict the same punishment on her own children. All five children are now suffering because of their mothers' choices"

Credit for time served

The judge considered the backgrounds of the two women in reaching her sentencing decision.

Court heard A.M. had a difficult childhood that included emotional, physical and sexual abuse. She had a drug addiction, but admitted there were times she was not under the influence of drugs when she hurt the children.

A.M. has been locked up for 23-hours a day at the Edmonton Remand Centre since her arrest in December 2017.

She said she saw guards tell other inmates she was incarcerated for abusing children and that she was called names by guards and inmates and told to kill herself. A.M. claimed one guard threw her meal to the floor and "told her to eat it off the floor like the animal she was," the judge said.

With enhanced credit for time served, A.M. will have another three years, five months left on her eight-year sentence.

A.M.'s lawyer told CBC News she is disappointed with the length of the sentence.

"Regardless, my client is looking forward to putting this matter behind her and working on improving herself and re-establishing relationships with her immediate family," Danielle Boisvert said.

'It was a very heinous crime'

The children's biological mother has what the judge described as an extremely low IQ. But Kendell rejected the idea that her limited intelligence could be used as a mitigating factor in sentencing.

"Low IQ did not impact her ability to know right from wrong," Kendell said, noting that J.L. has expressed remorse for her actions.

J.L. said she wants to become a better parent in the future. The judge quoted her as saying, "I lost my babies. I was supposed to protect them. The most awful feeling in the world."

J.L. has not spent as much time in segregation, so she will have another four years, three months left to serve on her eight-year sentence.

Her lawyer also said he was disappointed by the length of the sentence.

"It was the highest sentence that the Crown was asking for," Ajay Juneja said. "The sentence was definitely higher than what I expected and far higher than what I had advocated for, so I am surprised."

I am surprised also. Surprised that either of the women will be loosed upon their children while one is 10 years old and the other 13. The age of the victim should be considered in cases like this. These children, hopefully with help, will be just starting to recover from the psychological damage when their mothers will emerge to terrorize them again.

Juneja said he will consider appealing the sentence after speaking to his client. At the same time, he acknowledged the toll this case has taken on everyone involved.

"It's a very difficult case," Juneja said. "I don't mean to trivialize what those children went through. It was a very heinous crime. It was a very sad case for everybody involved."

Edmonton police civilian employee charged with making, distributing and possessing child porn

Richard Adamsky, 32, is charged with making, distributing, and possessing child pornography. He worked as an emergency communications officer with the Edmonton Police Service. (Facebook)

An emergency communications officer with the Edmonton Police Service has been charged with making, distributing and possessing child pornography.

Richard Adamsky, 32, was arrested at his home in Sherwood Park Wednesday by Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams Internet Child Exploitation unit.

Adamsky also volunteered as a leader with Scouts Canada in Sherwood Park.

The unit began its investigation after receiving a tip from the United States Department of Homeland Security in March. The tip suggested an unknown suspect, possibly working in law enforcement, was involved in online child sexual exploitation.

Adamsky worked as an emergency communications officer with the Edmonton Police Service. Emergency communications officers direct 911 calls to police, fire or ambulance.

"It's shocking and it's also sad," said Staff Sgt. Mike Zaparyniuk with ALERT. "It's extremely difficult when we have to investigate somebody from our home agency that's involved in these types of crimes."

The ICE unit has a number of Edmonton police officers on staff, Zaparyniuk said. Investigating someone from your own organization is upsetting, but there was a great sense of relief when a suspect is arrested, he said.

In a news release Friday, ICE said it will continue its investigation with a forensic analysis of computers and electronic devices seized from the suspect's home.

ICE said it has no information to suggest Adamsky committed an offence on children directly, but encourages anyone with information about the case to contact police.

"Many of our investigations are worldwide, so this isn't unique for us to have the Department of Homeland Security reach out to us to ask us to deal with an investigation that falls into our boundaries," Zaparyniuk said.

"We've done a number of investigations with the U.S. as well as other ICE units around the world and throughout Canada.

Adamsky was released on bail and must follow a strict list of conditions including not to possess any electronic device, not to seek or obtain employment or any volunteer position that involves being in a position of trust or authority toward children.

He makes his first court appearance on June 10.

In Japan, Catholic Church finds 16 cases
of child sex abuse

Over a period of 60 years - this is, apparently, not a joke!

(CNA).- A Japanese news agency reported Thursday that an investigation by the country's bishops' conference has found 16 cases of sexual abuse of minors by clerics, which occurred from the 1950s to 2010s.

The findings have not yet been made public, but sources familiar with the matter spoke with Kyodo News April 2.

Acts of abuse occurred in rectories, church buildings, and foster homes.

The Japanese bishops announced the inquiry a year ago, and committees were established in each of the 16 dioceses to receive claims and consultations about abuse.

In 2002 an internal survey made inquiries with the leading priest in each diocese. This resulted in two reported cases of sex abuse.

A 2012 survey aimed to be a reference point in a manual for internal use. It did not aim to investigate facts or to resolve sex abuse. Five sex abuse cases were reported then.

A 2004 survey on sexual harassment found 17 cases of “coercive physical contacts,” mostly by priests. The victims included minors. That survey had 110 respondents.

And they are still just seeing the tip of the iceberg. Japanese are proud people, especially men who are more likely to be victims of paedophile priests. They will not self-report easily. But God knows what the true number really is, and justice is just a matter of time.

Cambodian Child Traffickers Convicted
IJM

Praise God for the conviction and sentencing of four traffickers in Cambodia last week who had recruited two girls, ages 12 and 16, to work as maids in Malaysia.

Instead of finding well-paid jobs, the girls were not paid, and the main recruiter sexually assaulted the 12-year-old and threatened the girls when they wanted to return home to Cambodia.

They were rescued by Malaysian authorities in 2019, with support from IJM.

Pray for the arrest of one of the perpetrators who remains at-large.

Amanzimtoti, SA, woman allegedly
sexually harassed by traffic officer
South Coast Sun

The officer had allegedly got into the passenger side of the woman’s car and began asking her personal questions.  According to the victim, the officer started caressing her hand and asked her to take him home.

A 23-year-old Doonside woman has been left in a state of depression after she was allegedly sexually harassed by a traffic officer on Wednesday, 4 March.   The victim, who wants to remain anonymous for fear of victimisation was on her way home after dropping off her child at preschool when she was pulled over by the traffic officer.

The officer had allegedly got into the passenger side of the woman’s car and began asking her personal questions.  According to the victim, the officer started caressing her hand and asked her to take him home.

Recalling the details that followed, the traumatised woman said, “After realising that my licence has expired, he told me he has to give me a R2 000 fine and asked me what I can do for him. I initially thought he wanted a bribe. He pointed at the car door and said I must unlock the door. Without permission, he climbed into the passenger seat and asked me to give him my hand. I was very confused and wasn’t sure what was happening. I gave him my hand out of confusion.  He started rubbing my hand and with a smile, he leaned against my car seat. He demanded that I take him to my home. I felt very uncomfortable and realised what his intentions were, so I immediately pulled my hand away and said no. He asked why and I said it was inappropriate. I felt sick to my stomach and was in complete shock over what had just happened. I didn’t know how to get him out of my car and I felt he violated my personal space.”

“He kept on demanding that I take him to my house to get to know him better. After I resisted, he laughed and said that I should get my license fixed. I then drove off. At that time my husband phoned me because I was taking longer than usual to get home. I immediately started crying and could barely talk. I explained to my husband what had just happened. I felt he took advantage of me by abusing his authority as an officer of the law by making sexual advances,” she added.

Communications officer of Amanzimtoti SAPS, Captain Charlene van der Spuy, said that the case has been moved to Umlazi Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit for further investigations, however at the time of going to print a comment was not made available.

Faces of the 28 paedophiles and perverts brought to justice this year in Merseyside

This grim list includes a serial sexual predator who carried out a horrifying rape, a sinister webcam creep, and a sick upskirt pervert

By Neil Docking Crown Court Reporter
Liverpool Echo

These are the faces of 28 paedophiles and perverts from Merseyside and the surrounding areas who have been jailed so far this year for despicable sex crimes.

This grim list includes a serial sexual predator who carried out a horrifying rape, a sinister webcam creep, and a sick upskirt pervert.

Judges had to deal with a paedophile who exposed himself to a group of taunting youths outside his home and a disturbed man who amassed sickening baby rape videos.

They have had to listen to details of how twisted paedophiles - including a teacher - ruined the lives of innocent children in harrowing court cases.

But thanks to brave victims who were willing to speak out - and in some cases go through the ordeal of giving evidence at trials - these sick individuals were locked up, meaning our communities are safer.

Please go to the Liverpool Echo for this list and photos.

Rapists, thugs and stalkers among the 40 criminals sent to custody in March in North East, UK

North East England is one of nine official regions of England at the first level of NUTS (Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics; I kid you not) for statistical purposes. It covers Northumberland, County Durham, Tyne and Wear, and the area of the former county of Cleveland in North Yorkshire. Wikipedia

Perverts, violent thugs, stalkers and burglars have all been sent to prison during March.

Among those given lengthy sentences was Brett Fenwick, who tried to murder his lover when an Alnwick Garden love triangle ended in bloodshed. He was locked up for 25 years.

A former Newcastle University professor and famous composer was sentenced to 23 years in jail for a string of rape and sexual offences.

Sex beast from Lanarkshire, Scotland, who tried to bury boy alive attacks second child in supermarket toilet

Mirror - Daily News

Murray attacked the victim in the Bellshill branch of Tesco (Image: Google Streetview)

A convicted sex offender who assaulted a young boy molested another teenager after pouncing on him in a supermarket toilet.

Gavin Murray targeted his latest victim as he washed his hands, a court heard.

Murray had previously been locked up for eight years in 1985 for abducting a 13-year-old boy and dragging him into woods near Lesmahagow, Lanarkshire.

He ordered the victim to strip before indecently assaulting him.

Murray dug a grave, forced the boy to lie between sheets of polythene and started to cover him with earth, the Daily Record reports.

When the boy managed to escape, Murray chased him and struck him repeatedly with a hammer.

The court heard the younger lad was washing his hands in a toilet in a Tesco in Bellshill when he was assaulted.

Murray, now 55, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday and admitted sexually assaulting the 16-year-old boy at Tesco supermarket on December 28.

Neil Thomson, prosecuting, said: “The accused approached and grabbed him in the groin area, touching his testicles over his clothing. The boy was taken aback and started shouting at the accused.

“This alerted the boy’s friend, who was in a cubicle. He emerged from the cubicle to find the accused blocking his friend’s exit. The older boy challenged Murray, who headbutted him in the face.

“The sexual assault victim fled from the toilet and alerted security staff. It appears the older boy then struck the accused, knocking him to the ground. He was still on the floor when the police arrived and was taken to hospital for treatment to a small cut on his head.”

Brechin, Scotland, man killed girlfriend in 'vicious attack' because she danced with someone else
By Conor Riordan
Mirror - Daily News

A man has been jailed for the "savage, vicious and prolonged attack" in which he killed his girlfriend after he was angered by her dancing with others.

Keith Rizzo inflicted at least 26 stab wounds and 32 blunt force injuries on his 23-year-old partner Neomi Smith during the attack.

Rizzo, 23, then concocted "fanciful accounts" of how she died at the hands of two "mystery men" who then "vanished into thin air".

But a jury saw through Rizzo's lies and unanimously agreed that he was responsible for the brutal slaying which took place in Brechin, Angus, Scotland, on June 9 last year.

And today he was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 22 years at Glasgow's High Court for the murder.

Jealousy is a symptom of ownership. If your boyfriend/partner thinks he owns you, you need to find a way out of that relationship; it is toxic.
