Floyd Co., Ia, pedophile forced to take medication
Psychiatrist says refusal is interfering with treatment of pedophile

Posted By: Mike Bunge KIMT3

CHARLES CITY, Iowa – A Floyd County man accused of sexual abusing children is going to be forced to take his psychiatric medications.

Charles Earl Thompson, 64 of Floyd, was found incompetent to stand trial in February and ordered to undergo treatment to restore his mental state. A March progress report filed with the judge stated that Thompson was refusing to take medication and that was interfering with the effort to restore his competence.

The psychiatrist treating Thompson asked the judge for the authority to “treat the Defendant, even involuntarily, with medications to facilitate the restoration progress.” The judge granted that request.

Thompson is charged with 2nd degree sexual abuse, lascivious acts with a child, two counts of indecent contact with a child, dissemination and exhibition of obscene materials to a minor, and assault with intent to commit sexual abuse. Authorities say his victims were females between the ages of 8 and 15 and the abuse happened in 2018 and 2019.

Washington, Ia, man wanted for CSA, turns himself in

Posted By: KCII News Team

A Washington man turned himself into authorities on a warrant for sexual abuse and lascivious acts with a child.

According to the Washington County Communications Office, at about 4 a.m. Friday 39-year-old Elmer Ramirez turned himself in at the Washington County Jail.

A warrant was out for his arrest for sexual abuse in the second degree, lascivious acts with a child, dissemination and exhibition of obscene materials to minors, and indecent exposure. Bond was set at $37,000.

The case is related to a report of sexual assault on December 4, 2019 in Washington. At that time an investigation was started by local law enforcement.

Illegal Aliens Charged With Raping
Two 11-y/o Girls In Maryland

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD - In February, Jonathan Coreas-Salamanca, 20, and Ivan Reyes Lopez, 19, were both arrested for raping 11-year-old girls in separate incidents.

Coreas-Salamanca attends Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, while Lopez is a student at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School.

Coreas-Salamanca repeatedly raped and molested the girl, while sending her explicit photos and text messages on a cell phone, he provided to the victim, according to investigators.

“[The victim’s father] described a text message where Suspect Coreas-Salamanca advised Victim A that she bit his penis the last time she performed fellatio...Suspect Coreas-Salamanca’s purpose in sending the text message was to teach Victim A how to better perform fellatio,” read a charging document.

ICE spokeswoman Kaitlyn Pote issued the following statement:

"U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) lodged a detainer for Jonathan Coreas-Salamanca, an unlawfully present Salvadoran national, with Montgomery County Detention Center on Feb. 14, following his arrest by Montgomery County Police for sex abuse of a minor and second-degree rape."

Coreas-Salamanca has been charged with rape, sexual abuse of a minor and third-degree sexual offense of a minor. He is currently being held at the Montgomery County Detention Center on an ICE detainer.

Lopez reportedly lured his victim, who lives in a nearby apartment complex, inside his Silver Spring apartment and raped her.

Through an interpreter, he told investigators that he took the girl's hand, leading her into his bedroom and the two had "consensual vaginal intercourse," according to court documents.

Lopez has been charged with second-degree rape, and is currently being held at the Montgomery County Detention Center. Lopez came to this country from Honduras three years ago and, and was living with his uncle at the time of the attack, according to a law enforcement website.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has confirmed that Lopez was a minor at the time he arrived at the border, and it is likely, he like many others, was granted 'temporary asylum' in this country and sent (at taxpayers' expense) to live with his uncle (immigration status unknown) in Maryland. And, this is likely the reason, ICE has not lodged a detainer against him.

If convicted, Coreas-Salamanca could face up to 55 years in prison, while Lopez faces up to 20 years behind bars, if convicted.

So, why are there grown men attending schools in Montgomery County, Maryland? Maryland state law allows adults up to 21 years of age to attend public school. This revelation has not set well with local parents.

The Daily Mail reported:

"'If the school system would not allow an  employee or a volunteer to be back in the school while they’re facing  such serious charges, how does that change when it’s a student? They’re  over 18. They are men. They just use a different badge to get into  school,' Jennifer Gross, a Montgomery County resident, mother, and  longtime advocate for sexual assault prevention said.

'These  are adult men. They are over the age of 18 and simply because you’re  enrolled in MCPS schools — or any other school system — does not change the fact that you’re legally an adult,' she said."

Of course, Montgomery County has long been a 'sanctuary' for illegal aliens, and up until November 2019, ICE agents were barred from the county jail. However, ICE now has limited access to the jail, following a long string of rapes in the county, at the hands of illegal aliens.

The Daily Mail (a London newspaper), The Washington Examiner and Fox News were the only major media outlets to report on these outrageous crimes shortly following the arrests.

The Washington Post only did so, a month after Coreas-Salamanca's arrest, with the headline: "Two Maryland men indicted in rape cases involving girls 11 and 14."

So many left wing rags are willing to sacrifice little girls for the sake of not impugning alien rapists. It happens all over Europe as well. It's insanity.

Though Lopez, a Honduran national, was also in custody at the time The Washington Post article was written (March 12), he was not mentioned in the piece. Instead, Coreas-Salamanca was included with another accused child rapist named "Ryan Michael Johnson, of Gaithersburg."

Why did the author choose to leave Lopez out of the article?...Why is an illegal alien from El Salvador described as a "Maryland man?"

The answer to those questions will have to be answered by Washington Post reporter, Dan Morse, who penned the piece.

Former Kansas Sheriff's deputy charged with
child sex crime may be in French Foreign Legion

SUMNER COUNTY, Kan. (KWCH) The Sumner County Attorney says charges have been filed against a former Sedgwick County Sheriff's deputy identified as a suspect in a felony investigation.

Derick Chandler is now charged with five counts related to the "sexual misconduct of an underage female."

The French Foreign Legion?
The county attorney says the path on Chandler has gone cold. Last August, authorities said he fled the country and may have gone to Istanbul, Turkey to join the French Foreign Legion.

If anyone knows where Chandler may be, they are asked to call the Sumner County Sheriff's Office.

Eyewitness News searched Sumner County court records Wednesday and found Chandler was arrested in 2013 on felony charges of child abuse and aggravated assault. Court documents show those allegations involved a 7-year-old boy, but those charges were dismissed and Chandler wasn't convicted of a crime from these allegations.

Child Sex Offender 2nd Detainee To Die Of Coronavirus at Cook Co. Jail, Ill.
By Lorraine Swanson, Patch Staff

CHICAGO, IL — A convicted sex offender is believed to have lost his life to coronavirus while in custody of the Cook County Sheriff. Leslie Pieroni, 51, was pronounced dead Thursday evening at St. Anthony Hospital in Chicago. The official cause of death is pending an autopsy, but preliminary reports indicate he died of compilations due to the virus, jail officials said.

Pieroni is the second detainee to die this week as COVID-19 rages behind the walls of Cook County Jail. He was booked into the jail on Dec. 23, 2018 for a November 2018 incident on allegations that he had sexually assaulted a boy under the age of 13. Pieroni was awaiting trial on charges of predatory criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse. At the time of his arrest, the Cook County State's Attorney said Pieroni was a non-compliant registered sex offender.

Previously Pieroni was sentenced in 2006 to eight years in the Illinois Department of Corrections following his conviction for criminal sexual assault involving two children. He was charged with failure to register as a sex offender and was sentenced to two years probation in February 2018.

Pieroni is the second person in custody who has died after testing positive for the virus. Another detainee, 59-year-old Anthony Pendleton, died of coronavirus on April 5 at Stroger Hospital. His family filed a federal lawsuit against Sheriff Tom Dart and Cook County on Friday. Despite the 24-hour presence of an armed guard, the lawsuit alleges that Pendleton's constitutional rights were violated when he was shackled by hand and foot to his hospital bed as he battled coronavirus, causing "gratuitous pain."

As detainees have had their bonds reduced or been released on electronic monitoring to reduce the jail population, 219 inmates were being treated and monitored by Cermak Health Services, for mild-to moderate symptoms, and 36 others were moved to a recovery facility. Pieroni was one of 21 detainees being treated at local hospitals.

An additional nine Cook County Sheriff's employees have tested positive for COVID-19.

Two Hartwell, Ga, men charged in GBI
child sex investigation
Athens Banner-Herald
By Wayne Ford

Two Hartwell men were arrested this week on child sexual exploitation charges, Hart County Sheriff Mike Cleveland and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced Thursday.

Both men came under investigation due to child pornography allegations that surfaced during an undercover probe by the GBI’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Dwayne Ray Fleming, 34, was charged with five counts of sexual exploitation involving the distribution of child pornography.

Jessie Wayne Shumake, 24, was charged with two counts of sexual exploitation, four counts of aggravated child molestation and two counts of child molestation.

The charges against Shumake broadened from child porn to additional allegations that he molested a child in Hart County, authorities said. Authorities declined to say when these molestations allegedly occurred and the warrant was unavailable.

“It’s not uncommon for us to find children that are being molested because we are working a child pornography case,” Debbie Garner, director of the child exploitation unit, said Thursday.

There is a statistical correlation between people who seek, collect and view child sexual abuse images and those who are actually molesting children, she said. “It happens regularly in our work,” Garner said.

Shumake and Fleming were both charged Tuesday and each was denied bond Thursday in a magistrate’s court.

Cortland Co., NY man pleads guilty to taking photos of girl's sexual abuse

Anthony Borrelli, Binghamton Press & Sun-Bulletin

A Cortland County man pleaded guilty Thursday to federal crimes for the sexual abuse of a girl that was also photographed with cell phones.

Christopher M. Perry, 36, admitted that he and his girlfriend Sarah R. Gates performed sexual acts on a girl on several occasions during 2017, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. The victim was born in 2014.

The Cortland Police Department, whose investigators arrested Perry and Gates on April 4, 2019, after executing a search warrant, initially accused the couple of sexually abusing the girl over the span of one-and-a-half to two years. Federal charges came a week after their arrests.

Perry pleaded guilty to conspiracy to sexually exploit a child and two counts of sexual exploitation of a child. Each of those are felony charges, which could send him to federal prison for at least 15 years, and sentencing is scheduled for May.

The U.S. Attorney's Office said Perry will also have to register as a sex offender.

Although Gates, 39, has been charged with the same crimes as Perry, her case remains pending and she has not been convicted.

Another pair of perverts where the woman is older than the man. Curious how often that is the case.

Court documents said Perry and Gates entered into an agreement and understanding with one another to sexually abuse the girl, and investigators learned of it after a receiving a tip that child pornography had been uploaded to Facebook from Perry's residence.

When law enforcement officials executed a search warrant at Perry's home, they found two phones, at least one of which allegedly contained images of a girl being subjected to sexually explicit conduct by Perry and Gates, according to court documents.

Arizona Border Patrol agent wanted for child sex crimes holds Arizona police in stand-off for 4 hours
by KC Wildmoon
Crimeonline

A US Border Patrol agent in Arizona has been charged with sexually abusing several children over a period of years after a lengthy investigation that ended with him barricading himself inside a church and holding police at bay for four hours.

Dana Thornhill, 49, was arrested shortly before 8 p.m. on Thursday, AZCentral reported, when negotiators convinced him to surrender.

Sierra Vista Police Lt. Sean Brownson said Thornhill had been under surveillance for some time. “It became pretty apparent that he was aware that law enforcement was watching him, and he was concerned that he was going to get arrested,” he said.

Police were about to take that step to arrest him, Brownson said, because investigators felt he was a threat to the community. “We felt strongly at this time that he should not be walking the streets based on what types of crimes he had committed, the sexual assaults on children, and then the fact that they were continuous over multiple years,” he said.

On Thursday, Thornhill fled Sierra Vista to nearby Huachuca City, where he holed up in church he had access to and that he’d had at time an affiliation. Armed with a .40-caliber semiautomatic handgun, he built barricades in several portions of the church. After his surrender, police found his weapon disassembled and his Border Patrol credentials.

Brownson also said that police executed a search warrant at Thornhill’s home and found additional evidence. “I can’t comment on what that is right now, but there’s corroborating evidence that he was involved in this type of activity,” Brownson said.

The Border Patrol refused comment on how long Thornhill had been with the service or where he was stationed. In a statement, the agency said it takes “all allegations of employee misconduct seriously,” according to KGUN.

“CBP does not tolerate corruption or abuse within our ranks, and we cooperate fully with all criminal or administrative investigations of alleged misconduct by any of our personnel, whether it occurs on or off duty,” it said.

Thornhill is being held without bond at the Cochise County jail, charged with two counts of sexual conduct with a minor and two counts of sexual assault. Under Arizona law, he faces up to life in prison for each.

All the incidents contained the complaint against him occurred within Sierra Vista, a moderate-sized town just north of the border with Mexico. The Department of Homeland Security assisted with the investigation, Brownson said, and could refer federal charges to the Department of Justice.

Coeur d’Alene, Id, man faces child sexual abuse charges

By Ralph Bartholdt
Coeur d’Alene Press

A jailed 67-year-old Coeur d’Alene man who is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and child sexual abuse will have his preliminary hearing next week.

The probable cause hearing for Timothy E. Durkin is set Tuesday in Coeur d’Alene’s First District Court while Durkin remains behind bars on $250,000 bail.

Durkin is accused of soliciting sexually explicit images from a 9-year-old, including video images and still photos, detectives said, over a period of several weeks in February and March.

Durkin was arrested April 1 on a warrant after police confiscated his cellphones for a forensic check and found the images and videos, according to a report.

Detectives were tipped off by the 9-year-old’s mother, who had purchased the girl a cellphone for Christmas. She learned Durkin had told the child to delete the images they exchanged, as well as their correspondence, according to reports.

Kootenai County prosecutors charged Durkin with sexual abuse of a child, sexual exploitation of a child by possession of sexually exploitative material, and disseminating harmful materials to minors, all felonies that can carry sentences of up to life in prison.

Authorities told a judge that Durkin had been under investigation for lewd conduct with a minor in 2014, and two years ago police were called to Durkin’s Coeur d’Alene residence after a caller reported a man masturbating while watching a mother play with her children next door.

Officers could not determine who the man was because many people were staying at Durkin’s house at the time, according to a report.

Durkin’s next court hearing, a preliminary hearing status conference, is Tuesday and a preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Coeur d’Alene.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled on Tuesday for an Arkansas man accused of child sexual abuse in 2012.

Guillermo Farias, 34, of Wickes, Arkansas, has been charged in 1st District Court with first-degree rape of a child and three counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a child.

According to documents filed with the court, Farias’ counsel requested bail be set so he could return to Arkansas where his family resides. It was also stated Farias had a job opportunity in Idaho. Judge Angela Fonnesbeck set bail at $50,000, ordered pretrial supervision and an ankle monitor should he make bail.

According to a writ of habeas corpus filed with the court, Farias said he is the primary provider for a family of five and a respected employee. The document states Farias has never been to state or federal prison, and witnesses in the case deny that the incident happened in a recording. Farias requested not to be extradited to Utah, but rather appear on his own recognizance so he could continue his employment.

Seven letters of support were also submitted to the court on Farias’ behalf.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Logan City Police received a report from a woman who had been sexually assaulted at the age of 12. The alleged victim told police “Guillermo ‘Gizmo’ Farias” lived in Cache Valley in 2012 and she developed a “crush” on him while “kissing romantically” on several occasions.

The alleged victim described to police instances of abuse during that time, including one incident where she was provided alcohol and either fell asleep or passed out on a couch at Farias’ home. The affidavit states the victim awoke being pulled from the couch by Farias, had her clothing removed and was raped. The intercourse was stopped when a young family member entered the room, police wrote.

During a recorded phone call between Farias and the victim, police wrote that Farias didn’t remember Utah because of drug use.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 21.

  1. How is it ok to ruin a innocent man an his families life. You have posted about my husband who I have been with for 17years and know is 100% innocent and he has not been convicted of this charge but you are making it as if he has.

  2. I understand he is innocent until proven guilty. I also understand that it is very hard for some people to believe that those they love are capable of child sexual abuse. I think your husband will have a difficult time defending himself when he can't remember Utah because of drug use. I pray the truth comes out, and that you have the strength to accept it regardless of what it is.
