Bill Gates left Microsoft’s board due to concerns about an affair he had with an employee, the Wall Street Journal has reported, fueling speculation about the circumstances surrounding his divorce.

Citing people familiar with the matter, the paper said that Gates was asked to vacate his seat in March 2020 after an extramarital relationship he had with a staffer became the subject of a company probe. He had been re-elected to the board just three months prior. Explaining his decision, Gates released a statement at the time saying that he wanted to focus on his philanthropic endeavors, adding that he would continue to act as an adviser to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. He also resigned his position on the board of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., the conglomerate run by fellow billionaire businessman Warren Buffett.

But according to the Journal, there were more scandalous reasons behind Gates’ departure. In late 2019, members of the Microsoft board were reportedly alerted to a letter from a female employee who detailed a relationship she had with the software mogul, and also demanded changes to her job at the company. She allegedly requested that Gates’ now-estranged wife, Melinda French Gates, also read her letter detailing the purported affair. Board members tasked with looking into the matter hired a law firm to investigate possible misconduct. As more details came to light, the company’s leadership feared that the relationship between Gates and the female staffer had been “inappropriate,” the paper reported. Board members also reportedly raised concerns about Gates’ dealings with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Gates is said to have stepped down before the board made a formal ruling on the matter.

Responding to the allegation, Microsoft acknowledged it had “received a concern” that Gates had “sought to initiate an intimate relationship” with an employee in 2000. The company said that it had conducted a “thorough investigation” into the allegation and that it provided “extensive support” to the staffer who came forward with the allegation.

A spokesperson for Gates confirmed that the billionaire had engaged in an affair “almost 20 years ago” but that the relationship “ended amicably.” Gates’ representative insisted, however, that his decision to leave the board was not related to the matter.

The claim about his hidden motive for leaving the company comes amid a string of reports about Gates’ personal life leading up to his recent divorce. According to the Daily Beast, Gates allegedly sought marriage advice from Epstein during multiple visits to his Manhattan townhouse between 2011 and 2014. Gates reportedly told the infamous ‘financier’ that his marriage to Melinda was “toxic.” During their chats, the billionaire allegedly also suggested that he could help Epstein “rehabilitate his image” following his 2008 conviction for soliciting a minor for prostitution. The infamous sex offender allegedly killed himself in August 2019 while awaiting his trial at a federal jail in Manhattan. He had been arrested a month earlier and charged with sex trafficking.

Sure! You go to an unmarried, convicted, child molester for marital advice. How did he get so rich with that kind of logic?

A spokesperson for Gates insisted that the two men never discussed Melinda in a disparaging way and also disputed details about their meetings.

In a separate report, the New York Times claimed that on several occasions, Gates pursued women who worked at Microsoft and his philanthropic foundation. The behavior reflected his reputation for “questionable conduct in work-related settings,” the paper said.

Gates and his ex-wife announced the end of their 27-year-marriage earlier this month. The Daily Beast reported that Gates’ friendship with Epstein had “haunted” her and led to tensions between the couple. She has not commented publicly on the matter. However, the pair reportedly said in their divorce papers that the marriage was “irretrievably broken.”

Associate of Rep. Matt Gaetz goes down for sex crimes
amid calls for Republican congressman to be next

Former Florida tax collector Joel Greenberg pleaded guilty to a litany of offenses, including sex with a minor and sex trafficking. To liberals, Rep. Matt Gaetz is next in the firing line.

Greenberg pleaded guilty in Florida on Monday to six charges, including trafficking minors for sex, stalking, and wire fraud. The sex trafficking charge relates to Greenberg’s gifting of money to young girls he met on a ‘sugar daddy’ website. Greenberg met one of these girls, a 17-year-old, and had sex with her multiple times before introducing “the minor to other adult men, who engaged in criminal sex acts with the minor,” according to his plea agreement.

Greenberg’s case would likely not receive national attention if investigators and the media did not suspect that one of these “other adult men” was Rep. Matt Gaetz, a firebrand Republican and die-hard supporter of former President Donald Trump.

Gaetz was not named by attorneys from either side during the Greenberg trial, but is under investigation by the Department of Justice for allegedly paying young women for sex, one of whom – according to unverified media reports – was the same minor referenced in the Greenberg case. Text messages obtained by the Daily Beast supposedly show Greenberg implicating Gaetz and lobbying Donald Trump associate Roger Stone for a pardon before Trump’s term in office ended, but Stone questioned their veracity.

No charges have been brought against Gaetz, though the rumors also triggered an investigation by the Democrat-controlled House Ethics Committee. Gaetz denies all the allegations against him, and has claimed that the Justice Department investigation was launched by a vindictive official who tried to extort his family.

As part of his plea deal, Greenberg agreed to cooperate with investigations into other sex crimes. Again, Gaetz was not mentioned, but Greenberg’s attorney, Fritz Scheller, said back in April that this cooperation meant that “Matt Gaetz is not feeling very comfortable today.” On Monday, however, he asked curious reporters to speak to Gaetz’s lawyer instead of commenting directly.

As Greenberg pleaded guilty, a plane flew over the Federal Courthouse in Orlando trailing a banner that read “Tick Tock Matt Gaetz.” A group dedicated to ousting Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis took responsibility for hiring the plane.

There needs to be much more discipline than this for the assisted suicide of Jeffrey Epstein. Supervisors, Managers, Wardens, need to be fired. But it won't happen!

Slap on the wrist for Jeffrey Epstein’s prison guards: No jail time for sleeping on the job & forging documents about it

Two Bureau of Prisons guards who were on duty the night sex offender Jeffrey Epstein allegedly committed suicide – but slept and shopped online instead of doing their job – will reportedly avoid jail time as part of a plea deal.

Federal prosecutors in Manhattan charged Tova Noel and Michael Thomas with conspiracy and falsifying records. The indictment filed against them said they spent the night napping, shopping online and forging paperwork – instead of checking on Epstein, who was found dead in his cell around 6:30 in the morning on August 10, 2019.

A letter filed in court on Friday says the prosecutors offered Noel and Thomas a plea agreement that would see them serve no time behind bars. Instead, they would be subjected to supervised release and complete 100 hours of community service, as well as cooperate with the probe by the Justice Department’s inspector general. A judge is expected to approve the plea deal next week, AP reported.

Noel and Thomas were supposed to make the rounds of the prisoners every 30 minutes, but spent the entire shift shopping online for furniture (Noel) and motorcycles (Thomas), walking around the common area, and even sleeping for about two hours, according to the indictment. They falsified the prison records throughout the shift, to indicate they had checked on the financier and convicted sex offender before he was found dead.

Epstein was arrested in July 2019 after a scandal over the previous plea deal he was given by federal prosecutors. The 66-year-old financier had made a career of socializing with the rich and powerful – and allegedly recording them with women, many underage, he and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell trafficked for sex, according to federal indictments.

Though New York City’s medical examiner ruled Epstein’s death a suicide, large portions of the American public remain skeptical of the official story – in no small part thanks to the falsified accounts of the guards and reports of mysteriously malfunctioning cameras inside what was supposed to be one of the most secure jails in Manhattan.

Not to mention that I, and others, predicted Epstein would suffer from an assisted suicide as soon as he was locked up. Some of the biggest names in the world are associated with him and there was no way he was going to be allowed to speak those names.

Epstein's cell. What did he hang himself from?

There was nowhere in his cell where he could drop more than a few feet. One has to fall at least 6 feet in order to break one's neck. Epstein's neck was broken in two places - more typical of strangling than hanging. Falling less than 6 feet would result in suffocation, not a broken neck.

Metropolitan Correctional Center, New York, management should be fired for dereliction of duty. They knew they had a very high profile prisoner, and they knew there were many very high profile and wealthy people who had very good reasons to prevent him from talking. If they didn't know, they should have. At the very least, they should have been checking up on their staff and ensuring the equipment in the jail was in working order. It is inconceivable that they would be so reckless.
