India: Muslim girl’s family murders
her Hindu boyfriend
The Qur’an forbids Muslim women to marry “idolaters”: “Do not marry idolatresses until they believe, for indeed, a believing slave woman is better than an idolatress, even though she pleases you. And do not give your daughters in marriage to idolaters until they believe, for indeed, a believing slave is better than an idolater, even though he pleases you. These people invite you to the fire, and Allah invites you to the garden, and to forgiveness by his grace, and explains his signs to mankind so that perhaps they will remember.” (Qur’an 2:221)
UP: 16-year-old Shailesh murdered over a relationship with a Muslim girl; the girl’s family, including her parents, arrested
OpIndia, December 2, 2024:
On Saturday, 30th November, the Uttar Pradesh Police arrested around 5 persons for murdering Shailesh Yadav, a minor boy studying in class 9 in Prayagraj. It is believed that the victim was in an alleged relationship with a Muslim girl which irked the family of the latter. The accused persons then, who belong to the family of the girl are believed to have murdered the boy. As per the reports, the girl and her parents are among the arrested.
As per the local reports, the incident is said to have happened in the Uttaraon police station area of Prayagraj. The victim boy had notably gone missing on Saturday, 30th November. The father of the victim, Ashwani Kumar Yadav stated that he got a call from someone on Saturday evening after which he left the home. Further, he got concerned as Shailesh failed to return home late at night. The family members of the boy also tried to call him but his phone was later switched off. At around 11 pm, the family of the boy began looking for him in the Ismail Lala Ka Pura village discovering his lifeless body….
During the investigations, it came to the fore that the boy was in an alleged relationship with a Muslim girl and the family members of the girl had disapproved of their relationship. They had also warned the boy to stay away from the girl but the mutual communication between the duo continued.
The parents of the boy suspect that the family of the girl deceptively called the boy and then murdered him before throwing his dead body near the pond….
The Taliban like their women to be invisible and silent. What better place to keep them than in a prison?
Afghanistan: Taliban arrest and imprison
victim of gang rape
The whole idea of veiling women has to do with removing the source of temptation for men. If men remain tempted and rape a woman, it is her fault for allowing them to be tempted. The responsibility is entirely upon her. Hence prison is a just punishment. The Taliban claim they’re imprisoning women to protect them, but this strains credulity; rape victims have been imprisoned in Pakistan as well.
Taliban Arrests Gangrape Victim in Kapisa Province, Claim Sources
Afghanistan International, November 30, 2024:
Local sources from Kapisa province reported that the Taliban members arrested a 35-year-old woman, Niloufar, who is a gangrape victim, and imprisoned her.
According to sources, the woman has been in Taliban custody for the past eight days in the centre of Kapisa province.
Sources from Kapisa province told Afghanistan International that a group of men gang-raped Niloufar at her home in the village of Aruki in Kapisa province on Friday, November 22.
Sources claimed that the five perpetrators of the gangrape are members of Niloufar’s husband’s family. According to them, one of the perpetrators has been identified as “Mayel Agha” and is a member of the Taliban in Kapisa.
Local sources said that after Niloufar was sexually assaulted in her home, she started making noise, and locals heard her voice and informed the Taliban. The Taliban were able to arrest one person on charges of involvement in the rape, and four others fled the scene….
Earlier, the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) in a report in December quoted some Taliban officials as saying they were imprisoning “women without a mahram” who were victims of violence.
A person is considered a mahram if they are related to you by: blood, breastfeeding, and marriage.
UNAMA has said that the imprisonment of women “in order to protect them” deprives these victims of their freedom.
