In total, investigators had identified 13 minors, children aged 3 and 4, whose families have not all yet filed a complaint, who must be heard in specialized units (UAPED) to allow the facts to be defined more precisely.
The investigation, opened on July 10 and entrusted to the Biarritz police station, follows "the first revelations of a child to his parents, followed by others," the Bayonne prosecutor's office specified.
The two accused had been suspended on July 17 by the municipality, "as soon as it became aware of the facts," the prosecutor's office explained.

The assailant then fled. The presence of surveillance cameras near the beach allowed the police to locate him. Achraf G., a 35-year-old Tunisian man, was taken into custody.
Behind bars, he admits to having suggested to the victim that they "swim together" and "play in the water," but denies having laid hands on her. According to him, she became upset "because he had wet her hair.
The judge found his arguments unconvincing. The individual was therefore sentenced to two years in prison, banned from French territory for five years, and registered as a sex offender. The victim suffered severe trauma. Medical professionals prescribed ten days of total incapacity for work.
