BELTON, Texas — A Belton man has been indicted on charges of sexual assault and sexual abuse of a child.

Court documents show Jeremy D. DuPaul of Belton was indicted by a Bell County Grand Jury on July 8 on two charges, one charge of Aggravated Sexual Assault and one charge of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child Under 14.

The Bell County Sheriff's Office said it received a report in April 2026 involving the aggravated sexual assault of a child. The agency said its Criminal Investigations Division, working with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, launched an investigation.

During the investigation, the Sheriff's Office said it also found information related to alleged domestic violence.

Investigators arrested DuPaul on April 14 on a warrant for assault causing bodily injury, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The case was presented to the Bell County District Attorney's Office, who accepted a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child against DuPaul, according to the Sheriff's Office. A second arrest warrant was also reportedly issued, ending with DuPaul being indicted for Aggravated Sexual Assault and one charge of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child Under 14.

The Bell County Sheriff's Office said DuPaul is a registered sex offender who is required to register annually due to a prior conviction for possession of child sexual abuse material, also known as child pornography.

Ledyard man caught with 18K child sex abuse images gets 10 years in prison

By ,Staff Writer

HARTFORD — A Ledyard man has been sentenced to a decade in prison for possession of child sex abuse material, officials say.

In a release, U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut David Sullivan said Jason Gibson, 46, was sentenced in federal court in Hartford to 120 months in prison followed by 20 years of supervised release for possession of child pornography.

Sullivan said Gibson was convicted in state court in 2020 of possession of child pornography and given an effective sentence of 30 months in prison and 10 years of probation. He was released from state custody in January 2021.

In April of 2023, Sullivan said, Gibson’s probation was revoked for violating the conditions of his release. He said he was given an effective prison sentence of six months, followed by 94 months of probation, adding he was released from state custody in August of 2023.

Sullivan said state probation officers made a routine visit to Gibson's residence on March 6, 2024. There, he said, they seized an unapproved cellphone that also contained a dark web application.

A subsequent analysis of the phone revealed more than 200 child sex abuse images and videos, Sullivan said, adding numerous text messages with links to access child pornography on the dark web were also found.

Sullivan said probation officers made another home visit on April 2, 2025, and seized an external hard drive. He said an analysis of the hard drive revealed more than 18,000 images and 1,400 videos depicting child sex abuse. Gibson has been detained since that date.

Sullivan said U.S. District Judge Omar A. Williams ordered Gibson to pay a total of $181,500 in restitution to 24 victims depicted in the images and videos he possessed. He said Gibson pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography on Jan. 13, 2026.

The penalties in the case were enhanced because of Gibson’s prior state convictions, Sullivan said.

Soldotna man faces charges for alleged child sex abuse material possession

A Soldotna man is facing federal charges after investigators say he was involved in the possession and receipt of child sexual abuse material.

Twenty-nine-year-old Adam O’Guinn of Soldotna was arrested last week in Sterling on federal criminal charges related to alleged child sexual abuse material, according to court documents.

Investigators say O’Guinn was identified as using PayPal to make about 27 purchases from known sources of child sexual abuse material.

Court documents state that after a search warrant was executed at his residence, law enforcement allegedly found child sexual abuse material on his phone. Investigators say the purchases occurred over a period of at least two years.

O’Guinn faces one count of possession of child pornography and one count of receipt of child pornography.

Why not 27 counts?

He faces between five and 20 years in prison.

If anyone has information concerning O’Guinn’s alleged actions, please contact the U.S. Department of State at traffickingtips@state.gov

DULUTH, Minn. (KFGO/Learfield)A Duluth man will spend more than 12 years in prison for sexually abusing a child.

St. Louis County Judge Leslie Beiers sentenced 41-year-old Michael Allen Hanson to 150 months behind bars, along with lifetime conditional release, after a jury found him guilty on three counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct. Prosecutors say Hanson repeatedly had sexual contact with a child under 13 between 2018 and 2020. Hanson was previously convicted of criminal sexual conduct in 2005.

County Attorney Kim Maki says the sentence reflects the seriousness of the crimes and the harm caused to the victim.
