A Sherbrooke, Quebec, man was arrested in Florida on the weekend following an online sting centering on his belief he was going to the U.S. to meet a 14-year-old boy.
René Roberge was arrested after his plane landed in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Sunday.
He made his first court appearance Monday in Federal Court in the Broward County city.
Roberge works as a television editor for the French-language TVA network.
In the online sting, federal agents posed as a father with a teenage son.
Roberge now faces charges of coercion and enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity.
He has a bail hearing Friday, and faces 10 years in prison if convicted.
A 14 year old boy does not qualify Roberge as a pedophile, just a gay pervert!
