Father Cuts Hands Off Baby Rapist; and Other Stories From India

A father took the law into his own hands after a 17-year-old teen raped his baby daughter.

The NY Post reports that in court, the Indian father said he was willing to forgive the teen and accept cash as compensation for abusing his daughter.

He even offered to drive the rapist to his home in Kotli Ablu.

Kotli Ablu is in the Punjab region of northern India.

However, on the way home, the father stopped his bike and tied the pervert to a tree and chopped his hands off using a machete.

The teenage rapist was left screaming for help and was eventually found by locals. He was hospitalized in critical condition. 

Police are looking for the father.

Woman gang-raped by 4 men

Rajahmundry police registered a Nirbhaya case against four persons for allegedly gang raping a 26-year-old woman on Sunday.

Based on the information provided by the victim, the police identified the accused as four rowdy sheeters T Prem Kumar, Manikanta, K Satish and Sikku. They are absconding.

According to police, the victim was going with her friends on a motor bike to attend a wedding function late on Saturday night when she was attacked. The accused followed the group and stopped the bike. They threatened her friends and sent them away and kept the girl. Later, they committed the crime.

The girl was abandoned near Kambalakonda Park. Passersby alerted the police. She was admitted to a private hospital and later shifted to the government hospital.



11 Year Old Raped

Kanpur: An 11-year-old girl, who was on her way to the fields nearby, was allegedly threatened and raped by a 20-year-old, in Kannauj district. The incident, which took place late Wednesday evening, came to light after the girl's mother lodged a complaint with Taalgram police station on Thursday.

Police have arrested the accused, who was absconding. According to the cops, the incident took place in a village under the limits of Taalgram police station. The victim was on her way to nearby fields, around 7.30 pm. "She was barely a kilometer away from her home when the accused, identified as Ranjit of the same village accosted her and threatened her with a knife before dragging her to a secluded spot and raped her," said a police officer.

A case under sections 376 (punishment for rape) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections of The Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012(POCSO) has been registered, he added.

Ranjit threatened her not to tell anyone, but the girl told her parents. "We arrested the accused on Thursday. The girl was sent for medical test and reports are awaited," said Talgram station house officer Anwar Ahmed.

Med Student wanted for rape

Lucknow: A student of MBBS final year at KGMU (King George Medical University) was booked for raping a woman in a Naka hotel. Native to Jaunpur, Shivnarayan Vishwakarma had allegedly assaulted the woman, distantly related to him, after he called her to Lucknow promising her a job.

The woman lodged an FIR at women's police station on April 5. The station officer of women's police station, sub-inspector Ruma Yadav said that Vishwakarma was studying at KGMU and efforts to trace him were on. Police have sent samples from the crime scene for tests at the Mahanagar-based forensic laboratory and were awaiting results.

Rapist wants to marry her in lieu of prison

Bhagalpur: A 12-year-old minor of Tatarpur locality was allegedly raped by Md Salman alias Raza, son of Md Afroz of Habibpur on Monday evening.

Raza was arrested in the wee hours of Tuesday after the local residents staged dharna.

Police sources said the survivor had gone to buy cold drinks at a nearby shop when the accused lured her in the name of giving chocolates and took her to a building under construction where he raped the girl.

"The accused raped the minor and abandoned her in the dark passage of the building. She returned home crying while her dress had marks of violence and blood stains," said police sources, adding that she narrated the incident to her family members who registered an FIR with Tatarpur police station.

Soon, locals gathered at the victim's place and staged a dharna in the night demanding immediate arrest of the accused. As tension ran high in the locality, police conducted raids and arrested Raza. DSP (city) Shahriyar Akhtar said the accused has confessed to the crime before police.

"The accused has pleaded to marry the survivor," the DSP said, adding that he was forwarded to jail.

Meanwhile, the victim, after medical examination, has been admitted to the emergency ward of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital for treatment. Her condition is stated to be normal, said a doctor.

Rickshaw driver booked for repeatedly raping minor

Aurangabad: The Mukundwadi police on Saturday night booked a 24-year-old autorickshaw driver for allegedly repeatedly raping a minor girl from the Dalit community in the last few months. He has also been accused of giving her pills that caused an abortion after she became pregnant.

The suspect, a resident of Mukundwadi, was committing crime for the last few months on the pretext of marrying the girl, police officials said.

A case under Protection of Children against Sexual Offences Act (POCSA) and other relevant charges have been slapped on him.

Police sources said that the families of the survivor and the accused stay in the same area in Mukundwadi, and are on good terms. "The accused gradually tried to lure the victim by saying that he would marry her soon. He later tried to develop an intimacy with the survivor, but she turned down his advances every time. The accused, however, allegedly raped her under the influence of alcohol on August 1, 2015."

The accused, according to the police sources, repeated the crime on several occasions till February 5 this year, and would threaten the survivor with dire consequences. She reportedly became pregnant in February, after which he allegedly refused to marry her, citing caste differences. He then allegedly forced her to consume abortion pills for terminating the pregnancy, police said.

Officers said that they have launched a hunt for the accused, who has not been traced so far.



2 men arrested for raping 2 girls

Bhandara: Two youths — Naresh Maind (26) and Rajeshwar Divate (23) — both residents of Sarandi village, were arrested for raping two young girls on Wednesday. One of the accused Naresh had got married on April 2.

One of the girls had gone at attend a wedding reception in nearby Rajani village. According to police sources, the duo were keeping a close watch on her. During the reception the girl met one more friend. Later in the night the two girls went to a nearby field to attend nature's call. During that time both Naresh and Rajeshwar raped and physically assaulted them.

Soon after some relatives of the girls came to the field searching for the them. Seeing them both Naresh and Rajeshwar fled from the spot.


The relatives reported the matter to Lakhandur police who swung into action and arrested the duo the same night.
