Texas caregiver gets four life sentences for
raping sex abuse victim he adopted
By New York Post
A jury in Texas sent quite the message to a creep who admitted sexually assaulting his adopted daughter years after being told she had been molested as a toddler: a prison term stretching into the 22nd century.
Jurors in Upshur County took less than 30 minutes Thursday to hand down four consecutive life sentences plus 20 years to Mark Randall Beasley, 59, who previously pleaded guilty to four counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child, the Longview News-Journal reports.
The sentences will run consecutively, according to the newspaper.
Upshur County District Attorney Billy Byrd said testimony in the case on Thursday revealed that the girl was about 2 or 3 years old when she lived with her biological mother. The woman sold the girl and allowed her to be photographed and molested during that time throughout Gregg County, Byrd said.
The girl was later removed from her mother’s custody by Child Protective Services and was placed in the care of Beasley and his wife, Byrd said. The couple was later awarded custody of the girl in early 2014.
Byrd said Beasley and his wife were specifically told that the girl had been sexually victimized in the past.
About three years later, in June 2017, Beasley then began sexually abusing the girl when she was about 8 years old. In all, Bealsey molested the girl on more than 20 occasions between June 2017 and January, Byrd said.
Beasley “partially confessed” to sexually assaulting the girl, Byrd said.

Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney Wes Adams announced today that Travis Wesley Foster, 36, of Annapolis, was sentenced by Circuit Court Judge Cathleen M. Vitale to 35 years in prison for sex abuse of a minor and related charges.
“Mr. Foster betrayed the trust of a child to whom he was meant to be a caregiver,” said Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney Wes Adams. “I applaud this young victim for her courage in bringing her abuser to justice, and am glad my office was able to successfully advocate for a lengthy sentence commensurate with Mr. Foster’s crimes.”
On March 17, 2017, Annapolis Police received a report of a child sex offense. Upon interviewing the 7 year old victim at the Department of Social Services Child Advocacy Center, police learned that Foster, the boyfriend of the victim’s family member, committed repeated acts of sexual abuse when the victim was approximately 6 to 7 years old. The victim lived in the same household as Foster at the time the abuse occurred.
On April 20, 2018, a Circuit Court jury found Foster guilty of sex abuse of a minor, second degree sex offense, and third degree sex offense.
Foster was sentenced to 40 years suspend all but 35 years of active incarceration and 5 years of supervised probation upon release. He is required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
Judge Cathleen M. Vitale presided over the case. Assistant State’s Attorney Pamela Alban prosecuted the case on behalf of the citizens of Anne Arundel County.
Two Alabama Child Sex Traffickers Sentenced to
16 Years in Prison
By Jasper Fakkert
Two Alabama men were each sentenced to over 16 years in prison after they were found guilty of trafficking a child for sex.

The two men, Michael Graham Lowe, 25, and David Rose, 30, were trafficking the child from a motel in Montgomery, Alabama, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ).
They would advertise the child on Backpage.com, then arrange meetings for the child to engage in commercial sex acts, while they stood watch outside of the motel room.
In some cases the child was transported to another location to perform the sex acts.
Lowe and Rose used the profits made to purchase illegal narcotics.
Of course, because drugs are more important than children! Good grief! they should lock these two creeps up and lose the key. 16 years is not long enough.
“There is no place in our community for those who prey on children,” said U.S. Attorney Franklin in a statement. “I hope that these lengthy sentences send a clear message that exploiting and prostituting a child will not be tolerated.”
In April, President Donald Trump signed a bill making it easier for law enforcement and victims to fight sex trafficking. In the same month, the DOJ seized the website Backpage.com, which it described as “the Internet’s leading forum for prostitution ads, including ads depicting the prostitution of children.”
Seven individuals were charged in a 93-count federal indictment in connection to the seizure of Backpage.com. “For far too long, Backpage.com existed as the dominant marketplace for illicit commercial sex, a place where sex traffickers frequently advertised children and adults alike,” said Attorney General Sessions at the time.
“But this illegality stops right now. Last Friday, the Department of Justice seized Backpage, and it can no longer be used by criminals to promote and facilitate human trafficking,” Sessions said.
According to the International Labor Organization an estimated 4.8 million people worldwide are being sexually exploited, one million of whom are children.
