‘Sex matters’: UK woman who lost job after transgender tweet
wins tribunal appeal
10 Jun, 2021 14:01
A British woman who lost her job after saying people can’t change their biological sex has won her appeal against an employment tribunal.
Maya Forstater, 47, posted several gender-critical tweets in 2018 while working as a tax expert for the Center for Global Development (CGD) in London.
In 2019, Forstater’s contract with the think tank was not renewed, and later that year she lost an employment tribunal where she argued that she was being discriminated against by her employer based on her beliefs.
On Thursday, however, Forstater won her appeal against the previous ruling, as a High Court judge found that the tribunal had “erred in law.”
Mr Justice Choudhury, who led the appeals panel, ruled that Forstater’s comments “did not seek to destroy the rights of trans persons” and that they are protected in law under the Equality Act 2010.
He did, however, stress that the judgement does not mean “those with gender-critical beliefs can ‘misgender’ trans persons with impunity.”
“We acknowledge that some trans persons will be disappointed by this judgment,” he added.
The ruling said Forstater’s belief “does not get anywhere near to … Nazism or totalitarianism,” which the judge said are considered unworthy of protection in a democratic society.
In a statement, Forstater said: “I am delighted to have been vindicated. I lost my job simply for expressing a view that is true and important, and held by the great majority of people in this country: sex matters.”
One of Forstater’s lawyers, Peter Daly, who also represented her at the original tribunal, described the ruling as a “landmark judgement,” which reaffirms people’s protections while discussing sex and gender.
Amanda Glassman, executive vice president of CGD, said the ruling was “disappointing” and a “step backwards for inclusivity and equality for all.”
No, it's a step backward from stupidity and absurdity, and a step backward from Sodom and Gomorrah.
Forstater’s tweets in 2018 were in response to government plans to allow people to specify their own gender.
In one, she wrote: “What I am so surprised at is that smart people who I admire ... are tying themselves in knots to avoid saying the truth that men cannot change into women.”
Following her employment tribunal over the comments, Forstater received support from Harry Potter author JK Rowling, who has herself received backlash for questioning whether trans women are women.

Isn’t Going So Well for Ratings
JOHN NOLTE, Breitbart
10 Jun 2021,
Nickelodeon, a cable network that used to entertain children and is now aggressively looking to prematurely sexualize them, is facing a well-deserved ratings collapse.
Maybe pushing adult sexuality on a children’s network isn’t such a good idea, and it really makes you wonder what’s going on behind the scenes with the execs that brings such creepy content to air.
Over the past few years, Nickelodeon (owned by ViacomCBS) has repeatedly attempted to propagandize and sexualize its mostly prepubescent audience by sneaking adult sexuality into content aimed directly at children.
Homosexuality in Blues Clues & You. Transsexuals and bisexuals in popular shows such as SpongeBob SquarePants, The Adventures of Korra, and Henry Danger. And more and more and more and more, not to mention its embrace of adult politics.
Evil enjoys nothing more than the defilement and shattering of innocence, something Nickelodeon has sought going all the way back to 2015.
The good news is that this push has resulted in a catastrophic ratings collapse for these corporate wokesters…
What had regularly been a top-rated cable network pre-grooming can now barely attract a third of its audience from 2017.
In July of 2017, Nickelodeon was averaging around 1.2 million viewers per week. Since February of this year, the channel has not been able to push its average viewership over 400,000. Last month, the numbers crashed as low as just 328,000.
Just last week, during primetime, Nickelodeon’s average primetime viewership was just 395,000. Its total day average was just 372,000.
Basically, what that means is that about 1/10th of one percent of the population is tuning in to this garbage.
It’s simply beyond my comprehension what it must be like for parents of young children to try and navigate increasingly aggressive cultural institutions attempting to groom their kids with this kind of adult sexuality. The monsters at Disney are doing the same, so are the public schools, and then there’s the Internet.
But this is what leftists love most, corrupting your children, hoping it will confuse and twist them into something they can exploit.
The good news, though, is that Nickelodeon is paying a steep price. It could very well be that the drag queen move was to try and boost its devastating ratings with the drag queen crowd. At this point, who else is there to appeal to?

Slay, queen? Pride signs in New York subway suggest
death threats to the transphobic
13 Jun, 2021 14:53
Rainbow-colored signs in New York’s subway stations remind riders to drop the “bigotry, hatred, or prejudice” against LGBT people, but the signs close with a chilling message that looks like a barely veiled death threat.
Along with nearly every other corporation and government body in the US, New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has plastered itself in rainbow graphics and started spouting pro-LGBT affirmations for Pride Month, which runs until the end of June.
“No bigotry, hatred, or prejudice allowed at this station at any time,” mock service information posters read, reminding the intolerant that “your BS stops here.”
However, one poster focuses its message on the anti-trans crowd, and addresses them with what looks like a clear death threat. “Respect trans people, or your pronouns will be was/were,” it reads.
The posters, which have been up in New York since the beginning of the month, impressed another North American transit authority. “Great sign,” Vancouver’s TransLink tweeted on Friday. “We concur.”
That sounds like Vancouver; Canada's left coast.
But there’s a twist in the tale. The posters aren’t the work of the MTA, but of a gay advertising director, Thomas Shim. Shim’s posters are designed to look like MTA announcements, and evidently fooled the TransLink social media team in Vancouver.
In Vancouver, people see what they want to see.
As for what “respect” means, that much was left unsaid. However, the trans lobby has set the bar for ‘disrespect’ fairly low in recent years. Uttering a gendered word such as “mother,” or suggesting that women may, in fact, be their own distinct gender is enough to invite death and rape threats from the most zealous among them.
In Washington, the White House has endorsed the use of “gender-neutral pronouns,” while President Joe Biden has allowed transgender people back into the military, and signed an executive order affirming their right to enter female-only institutions such as sports teams and women’s refuges.
Nobody in government has (thus far) suggested capital punishment for those who disrespect the transgender. Even Shim’s previous “Pride Train” campaigns didn’t go that far. Sassy messages in 2019 added passengers “Don’t be a drag, be a queen,” and a year earlier, told bigots to “buy a one-way plane ticket that takes you far, far away.”
Sin is progressive
He’s clearly hardened his rhetoric in the intervening years, and the current crop of posters was announced on Twitter with an aggressive-sounding “Surprise, bitch. Bet you thought you’d seen the last of us.” The same ‘Pride Train’ Twitter account in January tweeted “TERFminate TERFs”, TERF being a derogatory term for feminists who distinguish between biological women and trans women.
Yet many people online were fooled, and the MTA apparently hasn’t been in a rush to take down the posters – indeed, Shim said back in 2018 that the MTA “let us do our thing”. In an era in which megacorporations trot out drag queens to peddle hygiene products, and children’s TV shows ‘educate’ kids on the nuances of “queer,” “trans,” and “non-binary” identities, the idea that a subway operator would take things a step further is not so far-fetched.
It's all a trip down the turnpike to Sodom. Getting closer every day.
‘Glowing in rainbow colors’: Munich council wants arena in LGBTQ colors for Germany-Hungary Euro 2020 clash in protest at new laws
19 Jun, 2021 16:47
Munich's City Council has called for the Allianz Arena to be lit up in rainbow colors during Germany's Euro 2020 match against Hungary, in protest against new laws passed in Budapest.
News of the development was reported on Saturday afternoon, as the German national team prepared to take on holders Portugal in an important Group F clash.
In an even more vital encounter that could decide who advances to the knockout phases following Hungary's 1-1 draw with world champions France earlier, Die Mannschaft will host the Hungarians at Bayern Munich's home stadium on Wednesday.
This week, the Hungarian parliament passed a law restricting the sharing of homosexual and transgender content to those under 18 years of age, in what was considered an important victory for the country's conservative Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
In disapproval, the Munich City Council released a cross-party motion in a bid to get the ground lit up in LGBTQ-friendly rainbow colors on gameday.
"The Bavarian state capital is committed to diversity, tolerance and true equality in sport and in society as a whole," it began, before asking mayor Dieter Reiter to push UEFA into ensuring the iconic stadium "glows in rainbow colors on the evening of the match".
This was welcomed by the Lesbian and Gay Association of Germany.
"Especially because we are in Pride Month, that would be a clear sign," it said separately through national board member Christian Rudolph, who also takes care of gender and sexual diversity at the German football federation, according to dpa.
"This is not just a one-off action, so it is all the more important that it lasts throughout the European Championship. I know the team is behind it," Rudolph claimed.
Biden administration takes steps to make sex-change surgery
available as a healthcare benefit for military veterans

The Joe Biden administration is poised to offer gender-reassignment surgery as a standard medical benefit for military veterans, boosting transgender services in a system with a history of delaying or denying basic care.
Veterans Affairs (VA) Secretary Denis McDonough announced the move on Saturday at a LGBTQ Pride Month event in Orlando. “We are taking the first necessary steps to expand VA’s care to include gender-confirmation surgery, thus allowing transgender vets to go through the full gender-confirmation process with the VA by their side,” McDonough was quoted as saying by CNN.
The new benefit marks President Biden’s latest effort to expand transgender services and protections. Within the first few days after he took office in January, he signed executive orders expanding protections under federal anti-discrimination laws to transgender people and ending former president Donald Trump’s ban on transgender troops in the military.
Gender-reassignment surgery has been available to active-duty troops, but the VA has been limited to offering mental-health services and hormone therapy to veterans diagnosed with gender dysphoria.
The National Center for Transgender Equality has estimated that there are about 134,000 transgender veterans – a figure that the VA has adopted as fact. But the estimate may be dubious. It would mean that 1.5% of American veterans identify as a gender other than the one they were born with. Less than 0.6% of US adults identify as transgender, according to a 2016 study by the Williams Institute.
You're not suggesting that the Transgender Equality Center would exaggerate, are you? God forbid!
The VA plans this summer to begin the federal rulemaking process to make gender-reassignment surgery available. Such policy revisions can take years to finalize. “We are moving ahead, methodically, because we want this important change in policy to be implemented in a manner that has been thoroughly considered to ensure that the services made available to Veterans meet VA's rigorous standards for quality health care,” McDonough said.
McDonough, who is only the second non-veteran to serve as VA secretary, (why is it I'm not surprised at that, being a veteran myself), hinted at the new surgery benefit in February, when he ordered a far-reaching review of the department's “entire slate of services” to ensure that it’s providing “maximum equity and inclusivity, including the delivery of medically necessary gender-affirmation care and procedures.”
Trump cited high medical costs and disruptions to service time in announcing his ban on transgender troops in 2017. VA spending is projected to jump 12% in its current fiscal year, being budgeted at $243 billion, and the Biden administration is seeking $270 billion for fiscal 2022. The department’s budget has surged fivefold in the past two decades.
No problem, Joe will just print a few more trillion dollars. He'll be gone by the time the money becomes worthless.
Despite ever-increasing outlays, the VA has been plagued by breakdowns in providing services to which veterans are legally entitled. A 2020 study by OutVets, a group of LGBTQ veterans, found that about 400,000 former troops are at risk of wrongfully being denied healthcare services because of misapplication of rules concerning other-than-honorable discharges.
Congress passed legislation in 2014 and 2018 to make it easier for veterans to seek medical services outside the VA system because of delays in getting care. CNN reported in 2014 that at least 40 veterans had died while waiting for appointments at a VA hospital in Phoenix. Many had been placed on a secret list to hide the fact that some veterans weren’t getting timely care, in some cases waiting more than a year to see a doctor.
US Representative Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas), a former Navy Seal, called the new transgender surgery benefit "wrong on so many levels." He added, "The VA exists to keep veterans healthy, not use tax dollars for risky surgeries that often lead to years of ongoing treatment and complications. All this while wounded vets struggle to get necessary care."
Exactly!
