Rev. Edwin White has been in the news before, for his stance against violence.
"You've got to be a beacon to your community," he told AL.com on MLK Jr. Day in Mobile in 2014.
White was arrested by a U.S. Marshal and charged with three counts of child sex abuse in reference to a grand jury indictment on Wednesday.

Mobile Police officer Terence Perkins said that there were three female victims who came forth in early 2015. They were all three from White's family.
White has been arrested 12 times before, for issues such as failing to pay child support and domestic violence.
He was also arrested once before for child sex abuse, in 2009.
Sounds like a lovely guy, who wouldn't want him for a minister?
Good grief!
White is known for organizing events such as the MLK Jr. Day march.
