U.S. Sen. James Lankford said Thursday he remains hopeful about the future of the United States in part because God continues sending Christians to serve in the nation’s capital.
“That would tell me even if this is Sodom and Gomorrah, He hasn't given up on it. We shouldn't give up on it,” Lankford (R-Okla.) said during an appearance at Family Research Council’s Inaugural Pray Vote Stand Summit in Leesburg, Va.
Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, said he estimates there are “more men and women of committed faith in the Lord Jesus Christ serving in Congress” than “probably in modern time.”
“If [God] were finished with America, He wouldn't be calling men and women of faith to Washington, D.C.,” Perkins said. “And He's doing that.”
Lankford, who was elected to the Senate in 2016 after serving in the House of Representatives, said constituents sometimes draw comparisons between D.C. and Sodom and Gomorrah and tell him, “I can’t believe you work there.”
“And I'll typically smile at them and go, 'Yeah, I can see some similar characteristics. But at the end in Sodom and Gomorrah, God was pulling all the Believers out. He's still sending Believers in [to D.C.],’” Lankford said.
Washington, D.C., Lankford said, is a “mirror to the country more than the country wants to admit.” That is, the contentiousness in D.C. mirrors the contentiousness on the local level, he said.
“If we want to see a change, I really am convinced that Washington doesn't change the country,” he said. “[Instead,] the country changes Washington. And the country is changed by churches and by believers actually living their faith. I really do believe in the power of the gospel.”
Lankford quoted 1 Peter 2, in which the apostle told the Christians they were “sojourners” living in a foreign land. Further, Peter wrote, Christians should keep their conduct “honorable” so that when others “speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.”
“[Peter] spends the rest of the book of First Peter saying, ‘Here's some practical things you can do to demonstrate your faith into a culture that has no idea who God is.’ Guess what? Those churches put that into practice. They lived among the people that had no idea who God was. They lived those principles out and people came to know God and cultures got turned around.
“You think maybe that would work the same now, as it did in the first century?” Lankford asked. “I do. Absolutely. So that gives me hope.”

Leesburg, VIRGINIA — A concerned father of a child whose mother is trying to convince her autistic son that he's a girl is warning about the dangers of "radical gender ideology," proclaiming that "we must do everything we can to save them from the jaws of this beast."
On the final day of the Family Research Council's Pray Vote Stand Summit, a panel of elected officials, journalists and activists addressed a crowd of social conservatives gathered at Cornerstone Chapel. They discussed the extent to which gender ideology has permeated American society.
Moderated by Joseph Backholm, the senior fellow for biblical worldview at the Family Research Council, panelists included parent activist Brenton Netz from Michigan, Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge and The Christian Post journalist Brandon Showalter.
After Backholm mentioned the astronomical rise in the number of cases of gender dysphoria in children, Netz elaborated on his "legal battle to prevent his son from being given experimental gender transition" drugs, such as puberty blockers, against his will.
Netz recalled the shock he felt upon reading notes from his then-8-year-old son's therapy session with a gender clinician in St. Cloud, Minnesota, who asserted that "Miles reports her sexual orientation as lesbian" and "she reports her gender as transgender female."
Netz described his son as a "vulnerable child" who was "diagnosed with autism at the age of 4" with "an obsessive personality" and "other real behavioral issues." He criticized the therapist who treated his son, Troy Weber-Brown, for referring to his "autistic son as a girl named Miley using she/her and them/their pronouns." Weber-Brown is a licensed family and marriage therapist who specializes in LGBTQ behavioral healthcare.
Family councillors should be required to state up-front what their gender ID is and what their sexual preference is.
The father condemned the "appalling way he (Weber-Brown) counsels troubled and vulnerable children," adding "his stated goal is to re-parent them."
"In my case, Troy set himself up as my son's surrogate father," Netz said. "He meticulously manipulated my son into thinking he was not only a transgender girl and lesbian, but they were also having structured discussions about irreversible hormones and surgical options."
"There is no way my autistic little boy voluntarily self-identified as a transgender lesbian unless he was convinced of that by an adult," he asserted.
Netz noted that during the therapy sessions, his son's "crotch area was examined to see how much pubic hair he had to determine if he reached the beginning stages of puberty so a referral for hormone blockers could be written."
Netz lamented that the medical establishment and family courts have been "steadily corrupted by … postmodern gender ideology." He concluded his opening remarks with a call to action.
"Our kids are under attack," he said. "We must do everything we can to save them from the jaws of this beast."
Netz identified himself as "the only adult in my son's life who is not affirming … his delusion."
"[T]he schools are calling him Miley. … Everybody in the medical establishment treats him as a girl, calls him Miley," he explained.
"In our case, what has happened is there's kind of this gridlock that happens because the medical establishment will say well, it's a family court issue. … You can get this solved by going to the family court. Then you go to the family court, and they can't solve it either."
As a divorced parent, Netz has custody of his son "every other weekend plus a lot more time in the summer."
"If anybody met my son, within the first five minutes, you would realize that ... he's incapable of coming to those conclusions."
Backholm attempted to explain the reasons behind the increased prominence of children with gender dysphoria and the push to "affirm" children in their chosen gender identities. He cited reporting from Abigail Shrier, journalist and author of the book, Irreversible Damage.
Shrier interviewed "a former Planned Parenthood employee … about the decisions … at Planned Parenthood about whether a child should receive cross-sex hormones."
The former Planned Parenthood employee told Shrier that those decisions were made by a clinic manager who had "no prior medical experience and whose former job was managing at Wendy's."
The former employee characterized children with gender dysphoria as "cash cows" because, in many cases, "they are kept on the hook for the foreseeable future in terms of follow-up appointments, bloodwork, meetings, etc."
While Planned Parenthood is known for performing abortions, the former employee said that "abortions are hopefully a one-and-done situation." By contrast, children with gender dysphoria are seen as longterm potential customers, giving the organization a financial incentive.
Netz agreed that every child is vulnerable prey for agenda-driven gender clinicians.
"They will diagnose that child with gender dysphoria. … If they can do it to my son, they can do it to any child."
Backholm held up the SAFE Act as an example of a legislative solution to combat the harm of "radical gender ideology," including cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers.
SAFE is an acronym for the Saving Adolescents from Experimentation Act. He cheered Arkansas for becoming the first state to pass the "model legislation that prohibits the gender transition procedures or chemicals being given to minors."
Rutledge informed the audience that she was "wholeheartedly defending the SAFE Act." Netz offered praise for the SAFE Act as "a necessary measure to protect children from this mess."
Showalter illustrated how Netz's situation is not unique.
"I have never heard such excruciating anguish from moms and dads who somehow manage to find my journalistic work at The Christian Post." He added that "many of them are not even Christians, they're not conservative. I've received phone calls from atheists, left-wing people who say they can't believe they're reading CP now."
Showalter has engaged in several conversations with parents experiencing "off-the-charts pain and anguish as they are forced to watch the slow-motion dissociation and chemical disintegration of their own children."
He told the story of a mother who had an 18-year-old daughter with a developmental delay. The daughter went to Planned Parenthood and was given a prescription for testosterone "based on her own self-diagnosis" within 30 minutes.
"So this mom wanted to see how easy it would be for her to get testosterone" as a 50-something, he added. "She was given testosterone within 30 minutes. All they had to do was take the blood pressure, did a finger prick (blood test), and she declared herself the opposite sex, and all she had to do was sign an informed consent document that she shared with me."
Rutledge also commented on how illogical it was to allow children to choose their gender while not allowing them to make other significant decisions such as voting and serving in the military. She also stressed that "kids are not even taken into consideration when their parents are getting a divorce as to … which parent they want to live with."
"Why is it OK now for these medical providers and courts to push forward and allow these children to make life-altering, permanent decisions that are irreversible?" she asked.
As The Daily Wire reported, Netz is considering filing a lawsuit against the gender clinic that has convinced his young son that he is a trans-identified lesbian. Last year, Netz successfully obtained a court order to prevent his son, who's now 11 years old, from receiving further "gender-affirming" treatment at the clinic.

However, I will first add some background and my summary/ interpretation of the post, as many will not be familiar with much that has happened in the Netherlands (Holland) in the child abuse/trafficking world. Also, the original article in Dutch and I have used an autotranslation, which does not quite add up in all respects, so I try and clarify in advance of Ella's article which follows further down this post.

So the article tells of a child sexual abuse and child trafficking in the Hague. The Hague is important because...
The Hague is the seat of the Cabinet, the States General, the Supreme Court and the Council of State of the Netherlands.

Huig Plug is a whistleblower from the Dutch Judiciary and he was involved in a protest outside the home of a Leiden lawyer who is accused of being part of a "corrupt Minerva clique" and who is married to a man who abused his own daughter Lisa. Lisa's baby was also raped and died from this.
The Minerva clique is an elite fraternity from the University of Leiden. A report from the newspaper Volkskrant reported "two-thirds of influential Netherlands was a member of Minerva in 2010. It has a militia attached to it - Wikispooks LSV Minerva.
The "Minerva" lawyer, the wife of accused abuser found the protest intimidating, and brought a legal case against Huig Plug. Huig Plug says he is the voice of Lisa and Huig apparently has evidence that he wished to bring forward in the case to justify the protest.
The Judge wanted this behind closed doors and Huig Plug wants to circumvent this to allow people to see the evidence. The judgment of the case is due Friday 15th October 2pm. This case appears to be an attempt to silence him. Huig Plug thinks it is because they are connected to the pedophile network at the Hague.
This is not some wild accusation. Very powerful Dutch figures have been accused for years of being child sexual abusers, child traffickers by many survivors and with much evidence. They have escaped justice due to their power and connections and the widespread nature of the child trafficking network infiltrating many if not most postions of power.
Joris Demmink (see links above) who is one of the abusers named by Lisa, is a retired Dutch Justice Department official who has been repeatedly accused of child abuse. He was said to be involved in 1998 Rolodex child abuse case Joris Demmink Scandal.
Lisa mother is Marlies van Muiswinkel and has been fighting in vain for years against her ex-husband and other people involved in the justice system. Her ex-husband presumably remarried the lawyer who is taking the legal case against Huig Plug.

Huig Plug wants to reveal the evidence in Lisa's case. A lawsuit was brought against him to silence him. The judge wanted to hold the public hearing behind closed doors, but as a result, an emotional Huig Plug decides to bring out the shocking evidence in a different way.
Huig Plug, whistleblower within the judiciary, had to appear in court this week. The reason was a protest action for the home address of a Leiden lawyer, who found this intimidating and initiated summary proceedings against him. According to Huig Plug, the lawyer is part of a 'corrupt Minerva clique'. She is married to a man who abused his own daughter Lisa and buried her baby in the Scheveningse Bosjes (A large park in The Hague).
The story of the abused girl Lisa was brought out by Argos and also discussed at Café Weltschmerz. After Huig Plug came into contact with her mother Marlies van Muiswinkel, he also delved into her file. State attorney Sikke Kingma calls Huig Plug's claims "crazy stories about a pedo conspiracy in The Hague, for which every substantiation is interrupted." Kingma demands that these accusations stop, demands a correction on Twitter and that Huig Plug no longer harass the Leiden lawyer at home, on pain of a hefty penalty.
Huig Plug wanted to show in court that there is a lot of evidence to substantiate his claims. According to him, the lawyer and her colleagues in the justice system involved in the abuse would ensure that their crimes go unpunished and covered.
Pedo network in The Hague
Argos made a report about the heavily abused girl. Lisa not only designated her father as one of the perpetrators, but also a number of other (top) officials within the judiciary. She also named Joris Demmink as one of her rapists. Her testimonies have been filed with the notary as a safe-deposit box. Lisa's mother, Marlies van Muiswinkel, has been fighting in vain for years against her ex-husband and other people involved in the justice system.
Marlies van Muiswinkel submitted this 120-page notary statement, including children's drawings of all the people involved, to the chief attorney general in 2015. According to her, it has all been brushed aside because a "certain group in The Hague," a "pedophile network in The Hague," participates in the abuse, according to Lisa's mother.

Evidence of Child Trafficking
Marlies van Muiswinkel is a lawyer and represents Huig Plug in summary proceedings. She says she has a lot of evidence that Lisa's story is not a conspiracy (theory). One of the most shocking pieces of evidence she has in her hands is an online order form. “There is trafficking in children.” In the video below she shows a form from 2002: “This is the price list of children.” Her daughter has mentioned websites from ten countries. “I want to investigate this. I'm being stopped here. I am a lawyer and am entitled to this. I have 24 pieces of evidence and I want a serious investigation.”
A cover-up that has been going on for half a century
Lisa's witness statements were already submitted to the court six years ago — when an investigation into Demmink was underway. Nothing was done with it at the time. Demmink was ultimately not prosecuted, because there was insufficient evidence in his case.
The lawsuit that Robert van de Luitgaarden recently filed against the state in a case also does not lead to a new criminal investigation. He demanded a new investigation, because he says he can demonstrate the impropriety and involvement of the judiciary in covering up organized abuse. Joris Demmink was in charge during that period. That claim was also rejected.
When the court in Rotterdam threatened last week to conduct the public case against Huig Plug behind closed doors, so that the evidence in the Lisa and Demmink case would again not be revealed, Huig Plug had had enough. He walked out of the courtroom angry. The enormous cover-up calls for transparency so that it becomes clear what is really going on. Marlies van Muiswinkel: “We cannot agree to behind closed doors.”

Silenced
Huig Plug is authorized to speak on behalf of Lisa. He angrily reads out the names of the rapists she mentioned. He is visibly emotional. “These people can now immediately start a criminal case against me, but then the real evidence will come out. So you are most welcome. Bring it on!"
We have seen in the Bodegraven case that such a provocation can lead to very repressive measures from the judiciary. It does not matter whether whistleblowers and victims rightly (or not) mention the names of perpetrators, because the judiciary shows no interest in investigating serious sex crimes and infanticide. If necessary, the judiciary locks them up under the guise of 'sedition' or even 'terrorism', which happened to the prosecutors in the Bodegraven case.
While the accusers are being silenced, a criminal investigation into the alleged abuse or infanticide is not forthcoming. It's always the same pattern. The said perpetrators have been released. At the same time, you often hear the same names in cases of organized abuse, such as in the Lisa, Demmink and Bodegraven case and other cases that have not yet been publicized. The frustration that this form of abuse continues with impunity is therefore great.
Huig Plug wants to testify under oath
Huig Plug takes into account serious repression of the Dutch state. “If I get arrested and I die… they are capable of making false reports. I have mentioned names because I can prove it.” He has collected many documents and wants to be heard under oath by the House of Representatives, but people are not interested in investigating his story.
Huig Plug is a recognized whistleblower within the judiciary who exposed abuses in the prison system, including about safety and the culture of fear. In a recent Tweet he wrote: “According to Rutte, whistleblowers are protected in the Netherlands. However, the police showed up at my front door three times, I was three times arrested at the Binnenhof and once I was picked off the road by the police and an unknown unit.”
Huig Plug also has a lot of knowledge about the Demmink case. As early as 2014, he tried to persuade MPs to ask parliamentary questions. Because influential people have not taken action, even more children and babies have been raped, tortured and murdered, Plug says. “I only come here to tell the truth. Now intervene!”

Victims receive little support from the judiciary
Lisa's mother holds up a bag with the Constitution and the Bible. “Here… the constitution, but no one abides by it. You can't touch a child's body. This is not possible!" She continues: “What are they capable of? I think it's scary! If you go over the border of children… Just think, there is a child sometimes so small… ” she points to the height of a toddler “… and then a little bigger, 15 was too old, so they could start talking. ”

“They rape, they drug. It's all about that body. That's what they do, that's what they enjoy. That should rule us. That is also in our government.” Her daughter was also tortured. For example, Lisa had wounds on her feet. It later emerged that the perpetrators liked "putting acid on her feet." Marlies van Muiswinkel: "As long as my daughter is not allowed to talk, I will do the talking for her!"
Justice and the LEBZ (National Expertise Group Special Sexual Affairs) claim that there is no evidence that this form of organized ritual abuse even exists. Marlies van Muiswinkel: “As long as they don't accept my proof, it supposedly doesn't exist. But it is there: doctors, psychologists, medical (evidence) ... there are witnesses, new victims, because they did not control the whole Demmink.”
Van Muiswinkel is also in contact with other children who are victims of serious abuse. “Some can no longer walk, they come to my house in wheelchairs, they have been raped so much. One needs a whole new hip, so they were raped apart.” According to her, there are at least 200 victims, but they are not accepted as new witnesses. These victims are in hiding, because they do not receive any protection.
“It's going to come out now. The truth is terrible. You hated what I read? It's much worse.”

Huig Plug: “There has to be a system change. Politics is sick. We have a beautiful country, but the people who legislate for us, fine us, and put us in jail, they are the child molesters and they have covered everything. Everyone should know this in the Netherlands. Stop being dictated to by pedophiles.”
On October 15, 2021, at 2 p.m., the judge will rule in the case brought against him. His own whistleblower case is still pending in court and will not appear until 2022. Will the judge shut him up or take him hostage before then, as we have seen in other cases?
Bisexual Superman will ‘destroy America,’ say outraged conservatives

DC Comics’ Superman is now bisexual, and a forthcoming issue features a romantic encounter between the Man of Steel and a male reporter. The superhero’s woke makeover has caused some controversy, to say the least.
Jon Kent, son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane, is a thoroughly modern superhero. He fights climate change and school shootings, and uses his superpowers to stop the deportation of illegal immigrants. Now, in the latest issue of ‘Superman: Son of Kal-El’, he comes out as bisexual, with the comic’s pages depicting a kiss between the Man of Steel and Jay Nakamura, a reporter.
“Superman’s symbol has always stood for hope, for truth, and for justice,” writer Tom Taylor said in a statement on Monday. “Today, that symbol represents something more. Today, more people can see themselves in the most powerful superhero in comics.”
Created back in 1938, Superman was always the quintessential American hero: Strong, masculine, and fighting for “truth, justice, and the American way.” However, DC Comics amended this catchphrase in July when Jon Kent’s story began in the first issue of ‘Superman: Son of Kal-El’, swapping his father’s original patriotic declaration for “Truth, justice, and a better world.”
By that stage, DC had already hired race activist Ta-Nehisi Coates to work on a race-swapped Superman movie (which has since lost its director, JJ Abrams), and changing Superman’s sexuality was a natural progression for Taylor, who told the New York Times that “the idea of replacing Clark Kent with another straight white savior felt like a missed opportunity.”
However, many fans and pundits – particularly those of a conservative bent – had no issue with the Superman of old. Angered by what they saw as a tacked-on gay subplot, they slated DC Comics online
“Excellent! But for real inclusion, I’d also like to see Lois Lane become pansexual and Lex Luthor identify as a gender-fluid lesbian,” tweeted English contrarian Piers Morgan.
However, supporters of the new, woke Superman dismissed this criticism, arguing that the people most upset by the change “haven't purchased a single comic book in their lifetimes.”
Despite the dominance of superhero movies at the cinema and on streaming platforms, comic sales have remained lackluster for several years. Woke storylines haven’t managed to connect with a younger audience, and former DC artist Ethan Van Sciver said on YouTube this summer that “there's a palpable sense of desperation” in the industry.
“The comics biz is a disaster right now,” Van Sciver claimed. “It doesn’t seem as though anyone is trying to make money by producing sellable, desirable, collectible comic books. Most creators are using the media of comics to attempt to pitch television shows and movies to Netflix. They're trying to attract media attention by virtue signaling their diversity and inclusion initiatives.”
On the diversity front, Jon Kent isn’t the only LGBT hero unveiled by DC in recent months. Back in August, DC revealed that Batman’s sidekick Tim Drake is bisexual.

‘Blood on my hands’: Second Facebook ‘whistleblower’ comes forward
to call for content crackdown, says she’ll testify in Congress

Another former Facebook employee has come forward denouncing the social media behemoth for not combating “hate and misinformation” and vowing she would testify before Congress to back her claims of “potential criminal violations.”
Former employee Sophie Zhang has joined in the pro-censorship effort against Facebook, tweeting on Tuesday that she would testify before Congress to perform her “civic duty.”
Zhang had originally written a 7,800-word denunciation of her employer last fall, posting it the day she was fired. However, she credits the recent outpouring of “bipartisan support” to protect children from the harmful effects of social media, which followed the testimony of fellow ‘whistleblower’ Frances Haugen, with encouraging her to return to the public eye.
“I have blood on my hands,” Zhang laments in the lengthy memo.
The former Facebook data scientist has also provided “detailed documentation regarding potential criminal violations to a US law enforcement agency,” though she did not specify which agency or supply any further details about what kind of crimes had supposedly been committed using the social media giant.
Last year’s memo singled out the governments of Azerbaijan and Honduras as the most egregious abusers using Facebook to manipulate their citizens, with Ukraine, Brazil, Bolivia, Spain, India, and Ecuador also on the naughty list.
Zhang, like the suddenly-ubiquitous Haugen, accused Facebook of not doing everything in its power to control the spread of disinformation. She has even claimed to have evidence showing how foreign governments were using phony Facebook accounts to manipulate public opinion – hardly surprising in the aftermath of the Cambridge Analytica, JTRIG and other various scandals, but damning nonetheless.
Additionally, Facebook is “too slow to act against abuse of its platform, particularly in smaller or developing countries,” Zhang complained.
Similar to Haugen, Zhang’s lack of long-term experience at Facebook is being used against her by the company. She worked there for almost three years and was let go late last year – a relatively brief tenure that, she suggests, led Facebook to not take her findings seriously.
Zhang told CNN in a Tuesday interview that she was “not charismatic, not good at attracting or receiving attention” and therefore the “wrong person for the job” of whistleblower, but spoke out regardless. Facebook supposedly fired her for “performance issues.”
Offered $64,000 to sign a non-disparagement agreement upon departure, she declined the money and posted the mammoth exposé instead. Facebook retaliated not only by taking down the post on Facebook, but by supposedly contacting her web host and getting her own entire website taken down.
“No one wants to make an enemy of Facebook,” she pointed out.
To Zhang, however, the company’s duplicity and coverups suggest the trillion-dollar mega corporation and its partners in politics are running scared – that Facebook is integral to the perception of a functioning democracy even when the government manipulating it is anything but democratic.
The fact that multiple national governments and presidents felt the need to exploit Facebook on massive scales to manipulate their own citizenry without even trying to hide, that speaks volumes about how important they believe it to be.
Facebook lost billions in value last week following the one-two punch of Haugen’s testimony against the company and a six-hour outage that left users unable to access it or its subsidiaries Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp.
Haugen’s call for tighter regulation of social media platforms is already being heeded, with the company itself jumping at the possibility of tighter content regulations while arguing for a reform of Section 230 – which protects platforms from liability for what their users post – making it “contingent on [platforms] applying the systems and their policies as they are supposed to.”
Announcing such regulations now would conveniently prevent new social media platforms from gaining a foothold in the market by stripping them of such liability, while well-heeled competitors like Facebook and Google would be protected.

The school board in Virginia’s Loudoun County involved in a gender-affirmation policy row with parents has been accused of covering up an alleged bathroom rape by a ‘gender-fluid’ teen who allegedly committed a second sex offense.
The lengthy conflict between the Loudoun County School Board (LCSB) and parents unhappy with its policy to better accommodate the needs of transgender students has reached a new level of intensity this week.
One of the protesting parents accused the board of covering up something that Superintendent Scott Ziegler claimed simply couldn’t happen – a sexual assault in a girls’ bathroom by a biologically male student, who was granted access to it because of their purported gender fluidity. The cover-up allegedly allowed the perpetrator to sexually assault another victim.
The Tuesday public meeting of the board was dominated by the allegations, with angry parents accusing board members of gaslighting them and failing to protect children entrusted to them. One commenter compared the actions of the LCSB to those of the Catholic Church, when it “passed predator priest from parish to parish” to protect the reputation of the entire institution. There were renewed calls for the resignation of Ziegler and other officials.
The alleged assaults and suspected cover-up were exposed in a lengthy investigation published on Monday by the conservative outlet The Daily Wire. At the heart of the story is Scott Smith, a Loudoun County parent who gained national infamy after being arrested during a chaotic LCSB public meeting on June 22. The session was disrupted by protesters and ultimately cut short by the board.
Smith said he was arrested due to an emotional outburst, after a pro-transgender activist accused his daughter of fabricating a sexual assault against her. The incident was very real and extremely painful for the entire family, he said.
The alleged assault happened at the Stone Bridge High School on May 28. Elizabeth Lancaster, Smith’s attorney, said the perpetrator was charged with two counts of forcible sodomy, one count of anal sodomy, and one count of forcible fellatio.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that there was a sexual assault case at the school dated May 28 that “involved a thorough 2-month-long investigation” that led to an arrest. Law enforcement officials said the prosecution was still pending court proceedings.
According to Smith, his daughter was attacked by a “gender-fluid” boy who wore a skirt and gained access to the girls’ bathroom under the school’s gender-affirmation rules. “The person that attacked our daughter is apparently bisexual and occasionally wears dresses because he likes them,” he told The Daily Wire.
He considers the student a “sexual predator”, so he was quite upset during the June 22 meeting, when he heard Ziegler assuring the public that allowing biological boys to use girls’ bathrooms was perfectly safe. Asked about assaults at schools, the officials said: “To my knowledge, we don’t have any record of assaults occurring in our restrooms,” adding that “the predator transgender student or person simply does not exist.”
The alleged rapist in the May 28 is not transgender, of course, but “the point is kids are using [school policies] as an advantage to get into the bathrooms,” Smith said. When confronted by the activist later during the meeting, he called her a “b**ch” and got wrangled by the police.
In August, Smith was sentenced for the altercation with officers to 10 days in jail, all suspended, contingent on a year of good behavior. Images of Smith in handcuffs, his face covered with blood and his belly popping from under a T-shirt, made him a symbol of anti-trans bigotry in the eyes of the liberal media.
According to Smith, the school management and the LCSB went out of their way to protect the teen who allegedly assaulted his daughter. The Daily Wire said the suspect was transferred to a different school, where he was arrested in October for alleged abduction and sexual battery of a girl student.
The Sheriff’s Office reported arresting a 15-year-old for an incident of that nature at Broad Run High School in Ashburn, but didn’t identify the juvenile suspect. The Daily Wire says it was the same person who allegedly assaulted Smith’s daughter. The juvenile was reportedly 14 years old during the May 28 incident.
The conflict between LCSB and some of the parents stemmed from policy proposal 8040, which would require district schools to affirm the preferred gender of students by calling them their chosen pronouns and allowing them access to gender-restricted areas according to their preferences. It was put into force in August.
The policy “was rushed through to a vote without consideration for the safety of all students, simply to satisfy a liberal agenda,” an angry mother said at the school board meeting on Tuesday.
