The Philippines, along with Indonesia, each claim that 100,000 children are in the sex trade. Some are simply prostitutes, some are victims of sex tourism by pedophiles, and many are victims of child pornography.
Internet pornography is most likely the fastest growing industry in the Philippines. Some children, usually street children, are kidnapped and held in deplorable conditions while they are used to make videos, often including rape, or they are made to perform live on Skype.
Many of the children involved in the making of child pornography are victims of their own fathers or uncles, or even both parents.
Typhoon Haiyan will result in thousands of desperate children and parents immigrating to various countries very soon. Some of those children will have been used in the making of internet pornography. Some of their parents will also have been involved.
Bringing them to a new country will not necessarily stop the sexual abuse of the children. However, there is a way to help these kids.
If governments will order the photographing of all children entering their country, then run that photo through the internet, including the darknet, if possible, using facial recognition software, they could identify those who are victims.
A follow-up investigation should determine who was involved in their abuse and those people, if they are in the country, should be sent back to the Philippines and added to an international list of pedophiles.
If you agree with this idea, please forward it by email, Facebook, Twitter, or any other method to your government and to as many people as you know until governments are bombarded with it.
Thank you and God bless,
