A 33-year-old man who photographed and videotaped himself sexually assaulting three prepubescent children was sentenced to 21 years in a federal prison on Tuesday.
U.S. District Judge William J. Martinez also ordered Jesse Evans of Denver to serve a 25-year parole term following release from prison.
"Sexually assaulting children and recording that assault in photos or video, is an unspeakable crime that deserves severe and swift justice," U.S. Attorney John Walsh said. "Our hearts go out to the victims in this case and their families." Yes, please pray for these people.
Evans, who was originally charged in June of 2013, plead guilty to one count of production of child pornography on June 12. Huh? No Child sex abuse charges - only one count of production of pornography? Well, we can't complain about the sentence.
A Denver police officer began investigating a child exploitation case in January 2012. A search warrant was served on Feb. 8, 2012 and the detective discovered child pornography on a laptop in Evans' home.
Authorities would learn that Evans had access to three prepubescent kids.
An FBI agent joined the investigation on June 28, 2012. He would discover nearly 100 images and videos of the three children.
Denver Police Chief Robert White vowed that his department will continue to conduct operations to capture child predators.
"We cannot allow an adult to ever exploit or take advantage of a child," White said. Amen, but, unfortunately it's already happening all around you. Please join my prayer team and pray the 3:15PM prayer or something similar.
