The heart-breaking, abysmal failure of the UK Justice System in Telford

Fury as 37 probes into child sex exploitation in Telford collapse
with no convictions

The new figures come as predator released halfway through his 18-yr prison sentence

Dozens of probes into child sex exploitation in Telford have collapsed – with NO convictions.

Over the past decade 37 investigations into child sex crimes involving more than one alleged attacker failed to bring anyone to justice.

The new figures sparked outrage just days after it emerged predator Ahdel Ali, 33, was released halfway through an 18-year jail term.

Victims – who gave police at least 267 names – fear some of the worst sexual offenders are still at large in the Shropshire town.

One, whose case collapsed after she gave police the names of 68 men, told the Sunday Mirror: “It’s really wrong. These men are getting away with it and their abuse ruins lives.”

Many of her claims were backed up by diary entries but the Crown Prosecution Service said there was no realistic prospect of a conviction.

Another victim added: “The system is stacked against us. So many people report abuse but nothing happens and when perpetrators do get jailed they get out early. It’s a slap in the face. Sex offenders should be made to serve their full sentence.”

Ali and his brother Mubarek, 37 – caged for trafficking children – were nailed by Operation Chalice in 2012.

That investigation began in 2009, a decade after officers were warned of an abuse epidemic during a probe into the murder of Lucy Lowe, 16.

They were given 110 names but it is believed the total involved was 200.

Although 51 were arrested, just 13 were charged and seven convicted.

That's about a 3.5% conviction rate. Third world countries do better than that.

More on Ahdel Ali and why it is so shocking that they let him out, again.

He led a trafficking gang that also involved his brother Mubarek and five other men over a three-year period, which targeted 100 vulnerable teens.

Ahdel was convicted to 18 years in 2012 - but he has now been released after serving just a third of his sentence, The Shropshire Star reported.

The Ali brothers' gang promised money, food and alcohol to their victims - who they referred to as 'sl**s' - and in return they worked as prostitutes between 2006 and 2009.

The brothers were both convicted of multiple offences against four girls, aged between 13 and 17, including controlling child prostitution.

The siblings were both married at the time of the offences.

Two years ago The Sun Online reported how Ahdel needed forty stitches after being targeted with a makeshift knife by another prisoner at HMP Wakefield.

The news of Ahdel's release was confirmed by Telford MP Lucy Allan. She has previously been critical of the decision for him to get released in 2017, only for him to breach the terms of his licence and get thrown back inside.

Telford has the third highest number of child sexual offences recorded in the UK, according to the Home Office. It became known as one of the worst places in the nation for child sex abuse, with as many 1,000 girls abused there since the 1980s.

And just seven Pakistani predators convicted!

Ms Allan had called for an extensive enquiry similar to one seen in Rotherham between 1997 and 2013.

It found that local authorities failed to act on reported in relation to an extensive operation of child sexual abuse dating back to the late 1980s and up to the 2010s.

Need I mention it again, Pakistani, Muslim predators, believe that is it quite alright, even an act of worship to Allah, to rape young British girls. Mohammed told them so in the Quran.

Detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad established Strike Force Dowell in August after receiving reports that three teenage girls had been physically and sexually abused while in foster care.

After extensive investigations, officers arrested the pair on Monday. The alleged predators both appeared in Liverpool Local Court the following day.

The man who was hit with 13 charges was granted bail under strict conditions, however the woman who received 11 charges was formally refused bail.

They are both due to reappear in court on February 16 next year.

As the investigation progressed officers also apprehended a 35-year-old man during a vehicle stop in the southwest suburb of Minto on Thursday.

The alleged offender was taken to Campbelltown Police Station and formally charged with a range of child sex crimes, as well as conspiracy to obtain financial advantage by deception and driving a motor vehicle while disqualified.

Police said the man was known to the young girl he is alleged to have sexually assaulted.

He was refused bail at Campbelltown Local Court today.

Investigations under Strike Force Dowell are continuing.

Colombian girl, 10, gives birth after being 'raped
since she was only eight years old'

A state governor has told local media that the girl has been caring for her child for 26 days and it is unclear who has been abusing her - but there are two suspects

A 10-year-old girl has given birth in Colombia with officials reporting she may have been raped since she was eight years old.

A state governor told local media that the child is believed to have been abused by either her stepfather or a 23-year-old building worker.

The young girl, who has not been named, is being kept at a medical centre in the city of Ibague in the Colombian department of Tolima.

She is reported to be from the municipality of Prado in Tolima.

It is not clear from local media reports when the birth occurred.

I suggest they do a DNA analysis on both the step-dad and the building worker. Step-fathers, and I am one, do not have a good reputation on this blog.

Isle of Wight Businessman, Peter Tomlinson Pleads Guilty

Peter Tomlinson, a prominent Island businessman who is accused of paying over £5,000 to watch children as young as 10-years-old being sexually abused via the internet, has pleaded guilty to the 12 charges against him following an appearance at the Isle of Wight Crown Court today (Friday).

Tomlinson, 63, of Baring Road in Cowes, appeared before Portsmouth Magistrates Court
(6th story on link) last month following a major National Crime Agency investigation, which involved law enforcement in the US. When arrested by NCA officers in October last year he said: “The thing you’re looking for is on my computer in there. It is my escape from reality. That is all it is.”

That's not all it is! It's the lives of several, if not hundreds of children being ruined for a few dollars and for the lust of millions of perverts.

Peter, a member of the Catholic church, appeared before the Isle of Wight Crown Court this morning and pleaded guilty to all 12 charges against him. He was accused of 5 counts of paying for the sexual services of a girl under 13; 2 counts of causing or inciting the sexual exploitation of a child under 13 and 2 counts of intentionally encouraging/assisting the commission of an either way offence. He was also accused of 3 counts of making indecent photographs/pseudo photographs of a child, namely 47 Category A, 148 Category B, 353 Category C photos and 46 extreme photos.

The court heard how Tomlinson paid £5,511 via 127 transactions to accounts in the Philippines between May 2015 and April 2017 – all for suspected live-streamed child sexual abuse. The NCA uncovered evidence that between May 2018 and February 2019, he repeatedly paid a female facilitator in the Philippines for the live-streamed abuse of 2 young girls. The youngest was just 10 when the abuse began.

In one exchange in January 2019, Tomlinson said he would pay the woman £7.66 if she performed a sex act on the girl. Investigators unearthed proof of thousands of messages between Tomlinson and the Filipino facilitator – who has been arrested and the children safeguarded.

During 358 video calls and 4,166 messages, Tomlinson repeatedly asked for ‘harder’ abuse footage, spelling out what he wanted to see and then complaining about what he received. In June 2018 he paid the woman £12.99 and then complained saying for that price: “I will expect a show with two girls for 30 minutes.”

Communication between Tomlinson and the woman was at all times of the day and night, even when he was working and in meetings.

The National Crime Agency is continuing to investigate evidence of more victims of live-streaming abuse, including an indecent image of a girl aged about 8.

NCA operations manager Phil Eccles has said:

“Peter Tomlinson believed he could carry out his sickening offences from the comfort of his own home and get away with it. He was directly responsible for the most heinous abuse of children thousands of miles away from him.

“Live-streaming sex crimes exploits the vulnerable; he was helped in this case by facilitators whose motive is to make money.

“Live-streaming is a key threat to the UK, and one of the main forms of financially-driven offending, for which the Philippines remains a key hub. The NCA does important work with international law enforcement partners in the Philippines to combat these sorts of crimes.

“Anyone like Tomlinson should know that the NCA and UK police will never give up our pursuit of offenders who commit these horrific crimes.”

Tomlinson will now appear before the court again on 5th March for sentencing, with it being acknowledged that he faces a lengthy custodial sentence. He has been remanded in custody until that date.

The former JR Zone owner, who now has to sign as a sex offender, has also been involved in several other local organisations over the years including Education Destination and Betapak, although he resigned from being a director of these firms in October following his arrest. JR Zone has since changed ownership.

The media and other businesses were made aware of rumours that Peter had been arrested in October last year when a round-robin email was sent out by an unknown whistleblower. It couldn’t be reported at the time due to the ongoing legal proceedings. It can now also be revealed that Tomlinson attempted to take his own life at his home in Cowes, but was resuscitated.

Peter’s wife, Catherine Tomlinson, who remained as a director of a number of Island businesses including BetaPak and Education Destination until 8th December this year, continues to support him.

Good grief!

Covid 19 doesn't slow down criminal activity, but AFP seems to be making a difference

COVID-19 may have changed the world of Australians in 2020, but not the world of crime – for Australian Federal Police (AFP) Eastern Command there has been a significant increase in investigations, seeing more than 1000 child exploitation-related charges laid and 22.4 tonnes of drugs stopped from reaching the community.

AFP Assistant Commissioner Eastern Command Justine Gough said the extent of operational activity in NSW has not slowed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with 282 offenders charged with Commonwealth offences this year.

“We have seen criminal syndicates attempting to import commercial quantities of illicit drugs through various methods, from drugs hidden in hydraulic cylinders to banana pulp, with drug seizures increasing 113% from 10.5 in 2019 to 22.4 tonnes in 2020,” AC Gough said.

AFP Eastern Command’s Child Protection Operations team has seen the consequences of more alleged offenders spending an increasing amount of time online this year, producing, sharing and accessing horrific child sexual abuse material.

The large-scale child protection investigation known as Operation Arkstone has unfolded against the backdrop of COVID-19. It began in February and has since resulted in 39 child victims identified in NSW, with nine men arrested in NSW for approximately 600 charges, ranging from producing or accessing child abuse material through to bestiality offences.

“Australia is a safer place for children in NSW thanks to the tireless work of our investigators and their counterparts. These are unimaginable crimes against some of the community’s most vulnerable, but we hope our work ensures offenders are put before the courts and gives the child victims a better life.”

The AFP-led Criminal Assets Confiscation Taskforce (CACT) has also achieved significant results in 2020. In NSW alone, the CACT restrained $32 million worth of assets from criminal entities, which is a 183% increase since last year.

“These funds are being redirected by the Commonwealth Government to crime prevention, law enforcement and other community initiatives. It’s about taking the profit out of crime and putting that money to better use.”

In October, in an Australian first, a Belgian tourist convicted in NSW as part of Operation Veltelan resulted in a child sex offender having their assets restrained as a result of their offending. The activity is part of the new and aggressive strategy by the AFP-led CACT, announced in 2020, to confiscate the assets from offenders who sexually exploit children and profit from the distribution of horrific child abuse material.

After a months-long investigation, sparked by the alleged online purchase of childlike sex dolls and school uniforms, two men have been arrested.

Detectives were tipped-off to the alleged online purchases in August, and about 7.45am on Wednesday, raided a home on Davidson Place in Menai.

There, police found two men, aged 40 and 37, as well as electronics, a sex doll and a number of knives.

Police will allege in court a computer and several phones seized during the raid had child abuse material on them.

The men were both charged with possessing child abuse material and were held at the Sutherland Police Station.

Bail was refused and the men are expected to face court on Thursday.
