Longsight area, Manchester |
A 14-year-old girl was dragged into a car off the street before being driven around and raped during a 'terrifying attack'.
The teenager was walking in the Longsight area of Manchester at about 3.34pm yesterday when she walked past two men standing next to a car.
One of the men tried to talk to her before dragging her into the car. She was driven to a nearby street where she was raped and sexually assaulted.
The terrified youngster was then driven around by her attackers while the attack continued.
She was eventually pushed out of the car in Levenshulme. She made her way to a nearby shop who then alerted police to the attack.
The victim is now being supported by specially-trained officers.

"We have dedicated team of detectives working on the investigation and are determined to catch the people that did this.
“I am keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the girl being dragged into the car to get in touch immediately.
"Both men were wearing distinctive purple contact lenses, which someone may recognise and I appeal to anyone who was in the area at that time to think back; were you walking near to where the incident took place and saw something suspicious, or do you recognise the description of the offenders?
“I want to reassure members of the public that we have increased patrols in the area and we are doing all we can to find who is responsible."
The first man is described as white, about 27-years-old, black hair, of slim build, wearing purple contact lenses and had a tattoo on his hip. He was wearing a black tracksuit and a red top.
The second man is described as white, about 20-years-old, pale, 6ft tall, with dark blonde hair, and of large and muscular build. He had a tattoo on his left leg under the knee, of Jesus holding a baby. He also wore purple contact lenses and spoke with a Manchester or Salford accent.
The car is described as small and black with a Manchester City Football Club scarf on the rear view mirror.
