UPI -- Kentucky State Police said four state National Guard soldiers have been arrested and charged with crimes related to the sexual assault of a female officer in Calloway County.

The KSP said officers responded to the Murray-Calloway County Hospital at about 10 a.m. on June 3 after a sexual assault report. Police arrested the four suspects later that day.

The suspects, who were in the area for training drills ahead of the 438th Military Police Company's annual training, are identified as Kentucky residents Anthony R. Tubolino, 25, of Auburn; Tyler A. Hart, 19, of Bowling Green; Austin L. Dennis, 21, of Monfordville; and Jacob F. Ruth, 22, of Monfordville.

Tubolino faces charges of second-degree rape, second-degree sodomy and third-degree unlawful transaction with a minor. Hart was charged with first-degree sexual abuse and second-degree sodomy. Dennis was charged with second-degree sodomy. Ruth was charged with second-degree sodomy.

These guys will fit very well in prison since they all saw fit to sodomize the girl. Tubolino, who is 25, was the only one who was charged with an offence against a minor. The other three were probably close enough in age to the victim that they cannot be charged for such offences. Do they have 17 y/o female officers in the National Guard?

"Preliminary investigation has shown the four suspects were in Calloway County in preparation for weekend deployment," KSP said in a statement. "It has also shown the victim was provided alcohol and was then sexually assaulted by these four suspects."

KSP said the Kentucky National Guard has helped police in the investigation and has remained cooperative.

"All soldiers are entitled to due process and no action will be taken by the Kentucky National Guard until the Kentucky State Police investigation is completed," Maj. Gen. Stephen Hogan, Kentucky's adjutant general, said in a statement. "Sexual assault is not only a reprehensible act, it is a criminal act. First and foremost our goal is to support the victim of this incident. It is damaging to our morale, to our readiness and to our combat ability. It has no place in the Kentucky National Guard. It goes against all the values we hold dear as service members in the U.S. Military."

A preliminary hearing date for the four soldiers is scheduled for July 5.

Woman Charged With Continuous
Sex Abuse Of Child
By Pilar Arias

San Antonio police have arrested a middle school employee for having a sexual relationship with a teenage student.

Stephanie Carmona, 34, has been charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree felony.

Sgt. Jesse Salame couldn’t say which school Carmona worked at or even her job, but said that’s where she and the 13-year-old boy victim met.

“She befriended his mother at some point and it turned into sleep overs where she would have sexual intercourse with him. Again, this has been going on for several months,” Salame said.

The boy’s mother reported the sexual abuse to the San Antonio Police Department mid May. Salame said the mother had discovered text messages on the victim’s phone.

The school involved has been notified of the incident and will be taking proper precautions to identify any additional potential victims, according to Salame.

“Anybody who sees her and recognizes her or has any information on this case or any other case, we’re asking that they call our Special Victims Unit,” Salame said.

SAPD’s Special Victims Unit can be reached at 210-207-2313.

Boise pedophile returns to Cache Valley on
child sex abuse charge

By Amy Macavinta

A Boise man who just completed a four-year prison term in Idaho made his first appearance in Logan’s 1st District Court on a sexual abuse charge dating back to 2011.

According to court records, Judd Evans Ballard, 42, was under investigation in Boise for possession of child porn in 2013 when he confessed to sexually abusing a child.

Prior to a polygraph test, Ballard reportedly told investigators that he fondled a Cache Valley child on one occasion during a visit to the area in 2011. He told investigators he was exploring the possibility of additional sexual activity but his advances were rejected, court records say.

The Cache County Attorney’s Office filed charges in 2013 and issued a warrant for his arrest, but were unable to prosecute him until his Idaho case was adjudicated.

Ballard was convicted in Idaho of possessing child porn and served four years in prison there before he was transported to the Cache County Jail to face charges locally. He appeared in court Tuesday where defense attorney Shannon Demler was appointed to represent him.

A preliminary hearing and discussion on bail are scheduled to take place June 22.

A Camdenton, Missouri man who will face trial in August for allegedly molesting a teen employee has been arrested and charged with 10 more counts of sexually abusing a minor.

Purdy is charged with:

Count I     Class B Felony of child molestation
Count II    Class C Felony of statutory sodomy 2nd degree
Count III   Class C Felony of statutory sodomy 2nd degree
Count IV   Class C Felony of statutory sodomy 2nd degree
Count V    Class C Felony of statutory sodomy 2nd degree
Count VI   Class C Felony of statutory sodomy 2nd degree
Count VII  Class C Felony of statutory sodomy 2nd degree
Count VIII Class C Felony of statutory sodomy 2nd degree
Count IX   Class C Felony of statutory sodomy 2nd degree
Count X    Class U Felony of statutory sodomy or attempted sodomy1st degree

Those 10 charges are not connected with the incident(s) for which Purdy was already facing statutory sodomy charges. He was arrested on Wednesday, June 14 and is being held in the Camden County jail without bond.

Purdy, who was charged in Camden County originally in June of 2013, is alleged to have committed the crimes of Forcible Sodomy, Statutory Sodomy, and Sexual Abuse upon a victim under the age of 17 years. The first trial, held in Camden County before Judge Kenneth Hayden, resulted in a mistrial after Purdy pleaded guilty but then made two inconsistent sworn statements to the court and to the Probation and Parole Office.

The new trial will be heard by Judge Donald Barnes after Judge Hayden recused himself. Recently, Judge Barnes oversaw a lengthy motion hearing after the state indicated it would introduce propensity evidence at trial. The specific evidence to be offered will be testimony by other victims, allegedly describing the same offenses as Purdy was charged with in 2013. These offenses were allegedly committed upon them before their 17th birthdays.

Purdy's trial for the original charges is set for Aug. 8-11.
