2 Teachers, a Priest, and a Sandusky on Today's USA PnP List

Jeffrey Sandusky pleads guilty to 14 counts of
child sexual abuse
BY CNN WIRE

CENTRE COUNTY, Penn. — Jeffrey Sandusky, the son of convicted sex abuser and former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky, pleaded guilty Friday to all 14 counts of child sexual abuse against him.

The Centre County district attorney’s office said the younger Sandusky, 41, entered the guilty pleas a week before his trial was scheduled to begin.

The 14 counts included soliciting sex from a child younger than 16 and soliciting child pornography.

According to the district attorney’s office, Sandusky will become a Tier III sex offender, the highest level in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.”

The charges involve incidents with two girls, one in 2013 and one in 2016.

The crimes were uncovered late last year when a girl told her father that Sandusky had texted her repeatedly, asking her to send him naked photos.

The father contacted the police, and during the investigation, police discovered another girl, known as victim No. 2, who said Sandusky had asked her to engage in oral sex with him years before.

Both victims say Sandusky tried to use different excuses to try to get them to participate, saying at one point that he “had studied medicine” and another time that he believed that Victim No. 1 had shared a nude photo with her boyfriend, and he wanted to see it.

“This outcome also ensures the victims need not suffer the trauma and re-victimization of testifying at trial and importantly, the defendant will have to comply with strict sex offender registration requirements for the remainder of his life,” District Attorney Stacy Parks Miller said.

According to the district attorney’s office, the terms of Sandusky’s plea guarantee that he will serve 3 to 6 years in state incarceration “but allows the judge to impose as much as 4 to 8 years of state prison in her discretion at the time of sentencing.”

Tier III offenders must register with the state police for life and verify their registration information in person four times a year, according to the Pennsylvania Sexual Offenders Assessment Board.

Sandusky’s defense attorney could not be reached for comment.

Catholic priest indicted on 9 counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor waives bond in Jasper County court
By Stassy Olmos

RIDGELAND, SC. (WSAV) – The 74-year-old Catholic Priest Wayland Brown, indicted on 9 counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, appeared in a Jasper County courtroom for a bond hearing Friday morning.

This is the 2nd time in 37 years Chris Templeton has seen the man he says raped him as a child.

“It’s a feeling I can’t even explain to be honest with you… it’s not anger…. I wish I could get angry,” Templeton told News Three afterwards.

Templeton was one of his alleged victims at St. James Catholic School in the 1970’s and 80’s.

“Wayland Brown, a priest at the St. James Catholic Church in Savannah took two children who were students at the St. James Catholic School, at separate times, into Jasper County South Carolina and sexually assault them,” Duffie Stone the Solicitor for the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit said in a press conference earlier.

Friday morning, Brown waived to set bond and will now await trial in the Jasper County jail.

“The fact that he’s continuing to be locked up gives me peace of mind that knowing no other children are being hurt today, so no other children have to go through what I and many others went through,” said Templeton.

While a short hearing, the courtroom was filled with Templeton’s supporters.

“The Catholic community should be rejoicing that ChrisTempleton had the courage to follow through with this and to you know, bring Wayland Brown to jail,” said O.C. Welch, a friend of Templeton, “Hopefully he’ll spend every day of the rest of his life in jail.”

“When you’re a victim, when you have anybody stand by your side and back you up,” said Templeton, “That means more than you could ever imagine.”

Templeton wants to make sure Brown will never hurt anyone else.

“He’s where he belongs and three years ago when we started all this, this was the purpose to protect other children to not having to go through this,” Templeton said. It’s a long process,” said Stone, “We already put a great deal of work into it, but he has been indicted, and the next step is really a trial.”

Templeton encourages anyone who may have been a victim to come forward. An anonymous hotline has been set up at 912-652-8080.

Ex-APS teacher pleads, gets probation,
in child sex abuse case
By Kim Burgess / Journal Staff Writer

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A former Albuquerque Public Schools middle school teacher received 4½ years of probation as part of a plea agreement that dropped a number of child sex abuse charges involving a female relative.

Kenneth Jehle pleaded no contest to three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor in 2nd Judicial District Court this morning.

Seven other charges were dismissed, including criminal sexual contact with a minor, manufacturing or possessing child pornography and child abuse.

The complaint alleged that Jehle started masturbating in front of the girl when she was 12 and groomed her for abuse over three years.

Under the terms of the agreement, Jehle will be allowed to serve probation in Michigan, where he has been living. He did not comment during the proceedings before Judge Cindy Leos.

A statement from the female relative, read in court, said Jehle “knows what he did” and she continues to have nightmares about it.

The girl’s mother told the Journal that she is disappointed in the court system.

“They did not take into consideration my daughter’s well-being throughout the process. The focus should have always been my daughter,” she said.

“They really left her high and dry.”

The plea deals wraps up Jehle’s legal issues.

In August, a Bernalillo County jury found him not guilty in a separate case alleging he inappropriately touched a teen special education student three times in the spring of 2014.

The student’s family sued Albuquerque Public Schools and received a $750,000 settlement in 2015.

And still, no consequences for the pervert!
